Michael Jackson Auction in 2009 [Official auction trailer on Post #160]

why? is MJ selling his stuff why? cause he doesn't have as much money cause his music is not selling or this is just cause just asking?

It's just because he has a little too much stuff, rockstar. He wants to do a little spring cleaning and get rid of a few things. No worries, rockstar! Michael want's to start over on a few notes. And I like the post above, sfboys. You make great points. Although, i'm gonna be a stickler and point you out on your typo. Michael is only 50 if I am not mistaken, lol! Just messin' with ya is all!

I wonder if any of the items are videos and audio recordings. That's what I'm interested in

I will be buying the catalog set next month (gotta get the money together)

I haven't been reading through this thread because it's too damn long, but is there a list of everything that will be auctioned off?

Who here is planning on getting something?

i dont think the cat with the list of whats for sale is available till around march. most of the stuff seems to be non mj things from whats been reported on, mj getting rid of antiques and paintings etc things releated to the ranch and cars.whether theres a huge amount of actual mj things i dunno

This monumental five-day auction offers an astounding array of fine and decorative art items, paintings and life-size bronze and marble sculptures to memorabilia from Jackson's life and career. The auction also includes amusements, arcade games, Disneyana, entertainment memorabilia and garden statuary furniture from Jackson's personal collection with a portion of the proceeds benefiting MusiCares ... a charity of The Recording Academy.

Re: Michael Jackson Auction in 2009

Hey, we could buy something real expensive together, and I would have it for one month and you could have it the next month and so on.. LOL

Portion's of it will go to charity. As far as we know that portion could be 1%.
All artist donate to charity in fear of being called greedy and egoistic :D

Not that it matters. Just a comment, that charity doesn't have to mean anything

yeah, lol, chairty starts in la casa...lol

Thrilling: Michael Jackson to sell limo at auction

Interested in riding in Michael Jackson's limo? How about owning it? In April it could be yours, as the King of Pop is selling a slew of his personal items, including eight to 10 of his cars, at an auction in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Bentley stretch limo is the spotlight car. It was custom designed by Jackson himself, replete with a plush leather, wood and gold interior.

"It'll be quite spectacular," said Darren Julien, CEO of Julien's Auctions, which is organizing the sale.

"He's just got too much stuff to keep up with," Julien said.

Oh lordy...so much stuff is right...lol you go Michael :)

Re: Michael Jackson Auction in 2009

Well it appears that things have changed for MJ. I mean, one indication is the progress he has made with all of those lawsuits, it didn't take that long and things have apparently turned a corner for MJ. I would have to say that the addition of Peter Lopez and Londell McMillian to the team have certainly been good for MJ.

And things "apparently" are looking good finance wise. With reports of MJ renting that fabulous home in Hombly Hills, I would definitely say that things are looking up for MJ. Don't you agree!

I agree!!!! He's renting it for like $100.000.00 a month I read? wow..nice. :)

it is only 2000 items/lots. That is hardly all the contents of Neverland or comprises his entire collection of stuff. Dude is having a fancy garage sale. People that rich just don't call it a garage sale is all.

lol yup!! and like the thing inside are just super expensive. from the looks of it, i don't think i can afford those paintings and stuff..hmmmmm.....

It's like he's selling off his private art collection to other private art collectors. I wonder what he'll keep and he'll won't. Maybe MJ has the true mona lisa. LOOOL

Official Michael Jackson Auction Catalogue Update

Regarding 5-volume set vs. 6-volume set:

Official Michael Jackson Auction Catalogue Update

Numerous fans have expressed concern over the fact that the official Julien's Auctions: Michael Jackson Auction (set to take place in April 2009) has changed the catalogue boxset from a six-volume to a five-volume package. Those who preordered the boxset may feel confused or angered that they paid $100 or $500 for what was billed as a six-volume set to now receive one less in the mail without any explanation. Julien's Auctions explained the situation to MJJR.net, and rest assured the five-volume set will be just as thick and complete as the originally anticipated six-volume set. One of these five volumes will now be entirely devoted to Michael Jackson's "decorative art" collection, and it is this volume which was originally expected to be two thinner volumes, before the decision was made to combine all decorative arts into a single catalogue.

Wow, thanks TSCM. I wonder if I will get to see any of it live. Also wonder if it will tour London before.

Hey guys, for those who know my MJ artwork you probably recognized my painting called "Peter Pan" on the electric car hood : Michael asked someone to reproduce it on his car ; )

I knew the original painting was in Neverland but I didn't know Michael choose it to customize his car.

You can check out my paintings right here (see photo section / artwork) : www.myspace.com/craftysprite
