Ok i got mine. Ok am i reading right or did i get the wrong deluxe. I got mine from walmart and it clearly says Deluxe fan edition but i aint got no boooklet with mine. The messed up thing my cousin just came to my house and he said his had a booklet and a song called "GOT THE HOTS" and he got it from Walmart theres only one Walmart where i live the one i work at. He cant be lieing my cousin dont have a computer or anything to know anything about "GOT THE HOTS", what is "GOT THE HOTS"?

Oh man. Now I'm nervous. I didn't buy my copy this morning becuz I wanted to check on here all day for which stores had which bonuses....and the Deluxe casebook edition. This thing seems to be selling faster than I expected. There may be squat left by the time I'm outta here. Yeeps! :(

Did anyone get the casebook edition from a particular store? Seems like Target may not have it based on the posts in this thread. :unsure:

Thats what my cousin told me he had a booklet and a song called GOT THE HOTS, he asked me about it i had no idea. All i know is we both got from The Walmart i work at but i had no GOT THE HOTS or booklet and i brought deluxe too. When i went around 11 they lady stocking, (not a walmart worker) said they flew off the shelve cause i couldnt find any and she showed me where they were and the 2 last ones they had i brought. One for me and my boy in Greece, he's gonna buy there but he wants Thriller go go number one here in USA. lol So i brought the last 2 Deluxe they had about 3 or 4 just the cd left. I guess it was the cd with the mixes.

Also, they been givng away Deluxes on the radio and a friend of mine who's a Jocky on the radio called me and said they will be giving out a Thriller Ipod. I wonder if he'd interview me about the album? lol I'll call him up. I'd do justice for it.

Vermilion did your cousin listen to this song. If so...Im heading to walmart right now? Did you cousin get the deluxe too.

Naw i got no booklet. My cousin never opend his yet he said. He just looked at mine and said wheres ur booklet, and where is the song GOT THE HOTS, u have For all time i have GOT THE HOTS and a BOOKLET.

Same here. I bought the set from Walmart and it says "Deluxe Fan Edition", but it is NOT the actual Deluxe edition :no:. It's the standard (new cover) edition plus Number Ones DVD. Still not a bad deal, $16 for both, but I thought it was the official 48-page deluxe edition when I bought it. The only other edition available was the original cover standard Thriller 25 edition. My copy was also messed up, with a damaged case cover, so I'll be exchanging it.

Then how does he know that his has the song "got the hots" (available in japan only)? Is it listed on the back of his booklet. Also what edition did your cousing get? deluxe, plain, or zombie?

So basically, the hologram cover is the one to get? It's the "hard back" one with the book inside?

I'm finding it all confusing. There is 3 Editions right?

But te deluxe one we want is the holohram one?

Yea I got mine 2day from Best Buy. I already have the Thriller album like 3 times lol. I've seen all the pictures shown in the booklet, and have all the videos on the DVD atleast twice. Other than the remixes and the principal of adding another CD 2 my collection I didn't really wanna get it. Case in point I WANT NEW STUFFFFF!!!!!!!

I got the hologram kind with the booklet (nice pics) and the CD/DVD. Is that the deluxe edition?

My story.

First stop was Circuit City. I thought it was my lucky day becuz there was one parking space right in front of the store. woohoo! Sold OUT! Good for Michael but not so lucky for me. :lol:

Next stop was to be Walmart but 1) it's out of my way and 2) I remembered some of you had issues with them so I found an old receipt in my purse and got their number. Calling ahead should help me save time, right? Well, I was told they DID have the hardcover with the CD and DVD. I specified that I wanted the one with the booklet and the hard cover. "OH YEAH! WE GOT IT" I'm told. So I go there allllll excited and hoping I have Vermillion's cousin's luck....and BAM.... this is what I see....

It was like a real horror movie. All I could hear in my head was Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!! :lol: But then I saw the White Suit/classic cover on another shelf and thought YES! But noooooooooo it wasn't the deluxe hardcover with the 48-page booklet. This booklet had only 20-some pages. Well, there HAD to be more, right? Of course. So I walked all around looking at CDs and found a clerk who sounded suspiciously like the voice on the phone grrrrrrrrr! :chichi: He tells me the 2 versions I've seen in the store were all they had and THEN tried to convince me that the Deluxe Fan Pack was the Hardbook version becuz the cover was.....HARD. :blink: :lol: Fair enough. Thankfully, I knew better(Thanks TSCM).

Anyway, I knew it was about to start pouring outside and didn't want to drive around anymore looking for this thing. I was tired and wanted to go home but I REFUSED to leave the store without For All Time. :wub: I couldn't bare to have it in my hands and just leave it....so one of those editions was coming home with me...but which one? The Fan pack or the Classic cover? At that point I realized I hadn't done my homework as well as I thought cuz I couldn't remember if the Hardbook version (which I will buy tomorrow or online) had the Classic cover or the Monster cover. :unsure: And I didn't want to have 2 T25 editions with the same cover....so *fingers crossed* I bought the Classic cover (which I'm more partial to anyway).

Moral of the story? 1) Calling ahead can be a TOTAL waste of time if the clerks aren't properly informed. I could have gotten the same version from Target closer to my house WITH the exclusive download. sigh! Make sure to read the packaging to know exactly what you're getting... AND 2) Don't trust the clerks IN the store. Do your homework or they will try to sell you what you don't want.

Anyway, I pumped the remixes all the way home so the ending is a happy one :punk:.....just incomplete at the mo.

Thanks to all of you on here who posted your stories becuz it helped me to be extra careful. If it wasn't for TSCM telling his story about the deluxe fan pack I probably would have grabbed it thinking it was the Hardbook version, especially with the clerk insisting that it was. Hopefully all of our stories will help each other shop wisely with this. :flowers:

Yes i have it now. Actually my boyfriend bought it for me for an early Valentine's gift :). Even though it's the same songs.. and the new remixes, i still love it..and i'll support him all the way!!

Picked up my copy of the deluxe hardback edition this afternoon before classes. I've seen it advertised and displayed in stores everywhere I've gone. There were only 2 hardback editions left at the place I got mine, including the one I got.

Packaging is very nice, and the remixes are great (except for fergie). Sound quality is excellent, but the short films don't seem to be touched up at all, contrary to what sony was saying.

For All Time is absolutely beautiful, even tear inducing. But geez, it's the ONLY unreleased material on here. You'd think they would do a little more for this "end all be all" edition of Thriller. As it stands, the 2001 SE is the meatier version as far as unreleased content.

Anyway, got my copy. Seems to be doing quite well in stores. I may pick up a regular version of the Japanese release, but I'm almost certain we'll be seeing Got The Hots as a download later down the road anyway.

The thing is selling right off the shelves; I only had time to try two places today and both were sold out. Yay MJ! I'll be getting it one way or another, maybe from Amazon.

Not from what I have seen. I checked target first, and they only had the classic edition (plus the download). I could be wrong though, I only checked Target. anyone, feel free to correct me.
