Michael Jackson Worldwide Chart Performance Thread

Re-entry of King of Pop Belgian Edition in Belgium (Flandres) at #96. It is certified with Gold (15,000 copies sold).

Does somebody have updated figures for MJ albums in the US? And also worldwide for KOP & Thriller 25, this data can"t be taken from worldwidealbums.net anymore

Thriller 25 has sold between 2.4-2.5 million copies worldwide so far but its definitely going to increase this week with the huge hike in MJ's album sales being reported. As for King of Pop I'm not sure what the worldwide sales figures for that are but in the UK it has sold roughly 170,000 copies.

In the US Thriller has been certified as 28 times Platinum, however none of the other albums have been updated recently other than Number Ones which has sold over 1.7 million copies in the US.

King Of Pop has re-entered the UK Official Top 100 album chart at No.68 this week.

This is another great thing to add on the VERY positive list of news we've got the last couple of weeks! :)

Thanks for sharing!

Also on the Australian Music DVD Chart this week Live In Bucharest is at No.8 while Number Ones is at No.13.

Thriller (the song) has re-entered the UK Top 40 R&B singles chart at No.29.

BAD has re-entered the Netherlands Top 50 back catalog chart at No.43.

Thriller 25 is No.14 on the French back catalog album chart. While Dangerous:The Short Films re-enters the Top 40 French Music DVD Chart at No.40.

King of Pop is No.67 on the Spanish top 100 album chart.

The Essential Michael Jackson is No.55 on the Swedish album chart.

Don't worry it'll rise massively next week thanks to the exposure of American Idol it'll probably hit a new all time high on the catalog chart.

Michael Jackson Week on American Idol last week boosted the performer’s catalog. The 2005 album The Essential Michael Jackson shot to #1 on the Catalog Albums chart. The album sold 11,000 copies (mostly in digital form) and would have ranked #45 on the big chart if older, catalog albums were eligible to compete there. Six Jackson oldies returned to Hot Digital Songs. Five are from Thriller, including the title song (which has sold 1,159,000 downloads), “Billie Jean” (864,000) and “Beat It” (668,000).
