Dileo

I never managed to find Dileo's name on any Sony board, not even as ex officio.
I really don't know under what capacity he has been there, if he has been at all.
As far as I remember this statement came only out of his mouth.

The interview is over at MJEOL. He said he was on the board, but he also said it on LKL I am pretty sure.

I think you're confusing the board of directors (executives/officials) and board of representatives (owners, ie. the ones who appoint the main officials), afaik the members of the latter are not necessarily known to the public, at least I don't think you can find any info about this on their web sites. (At least I haven't found any reference on any Sony site to Joel Katz either, except in his official bio at http://www.gtlaw.com/People/JoelAKatz where he lists his membership.) Dileo said him and Joel Katz were appointed together, although I think I've heard Dileo is no longer on the board, don't have a source for that though, so I'm not 100% sure.

Has anyone else ever confirmed that Dileo was on Sony board?
It looks like the only affirmation we have comes from his own lips. Not that it would be surprising for Frank to have connections with Sony, but it is important to have on record any lies he may have spread around.

This is from the Michael Jackson Truth Blog & I find the Dileo connections to Jack Gordon & the Chandlers very disturbing & scary.

http://themichaeljacksontruth-michaeljackson.blogspot.com/2010/10/player-1-frank-dileo.html

Frank has a dark side too. He was in bed with the mob. I don’t care what anyone says.... He was there. He was friends, good friends with Jo Isgro and Jack Gordon. Jo Isgro was music business mob all the way. He was part of the “network” and had ties to the Gambino Family.

Jo Isgro also was involved with LaToya, He produced her album Imagination.

After the success of Thriller Mike ask Frank to be his manager. Frank was the executive producer of Moonwalker, and the executive producer of all three Pepsi commercials. He managed Michael’s Victory and Bad tours, and was the executive producer in 8 of Michael’s videos. In other words he produced the Pepsi commercial where Mike was burned.

Also remember LaToya’s rant in 93. When she was married to Jack Gordon? Jack Gordon was mob too…LaToya was by her own account forced into the marriage, and constantly beaten. She was beaten once with a chair so badly that Jack thought he had killed her. She would later be forced in an interview that Michael Jackson was guilty of unspeakable crimes against children.

Another fact, most people don’t know…but Mike told me this himself, In 1989 Frank gave Jordie Chandlers mom 4 tickets to see Mike in concert, with back stage passes. Mike left early that night, not meeting with fans. He and Jordie would not meet until later. This occurred long before any allegations and before Mike even meet Jordie. Was Frank involved with setting Mike up?

What are the chances of Michael Jackson’s car breaking down on the freeway? And then Jordie’s step father being right there to give Michael a ride back to his car rental business? I don’t know but it seems to much of a coincidence for my liking…

Did Mike have a choice in the matter, or was this too forced on him. I don’t know. On one hand maybe Mike was trying to put together a team from happier more successful times, on the other hand Mike had good reasons for firing them both. Mike was a very forgiving person…. But usually didn’t make the same mistake twice.

I did find this: It was an interview with Diane Sawyer? Not sure but Frank was ask why Michael Fired him, This was his response.

"Why did he fire me? That’s a good question, but I think it was ah, ah, he fired me because it was politically asked of him. There was an outside record executive with a big time lawyer and one executive at Sony who would like to see Michael’s power cut in half. And by getting rid of me was half the power."

http://www.jacksonaction.com/index.php?page=view.php&id=180&section=transcripts

So was he protecting Michael or persecuting him?

And remember these messages left on a “friends” answering machine?

“It is Michael calling. It is very important, I want that 150 in that account for me, because… I am very concerned about my life. I am hearing a lot of stories that (name withheld) is still trying to sabotage… me… I want to be away for a while where they can’t find me.”
A second message adds, “It is Michael. It is 4.30 in the morning here that’s why I sound very sleepy and I’m really worn out… but please check the message I left a day or so ago. I am very concerned. I don’t trust that man. We think he’s bad, we think he is Italian mafia. Please… we must be smarter than him. So please, help me with this… I wanna be away… I don’t want to be in Neverland right now.”

We know that after the trials, Michael left the country. I think for reasons I don’t want to mention here, that this was actually recorded before the trial.

What I think…. I think Frank was a mobster, I think he always was. I think Mike knew this but I also think he was protected from other forces by Frank. Frank appears to have both good and bad qualities when it comes to Michael. Did Michael seem more together and safer with Frank in the picture or was this an illution?

Dileo has confirmed it himself in this interview:

http://site2.mjeol.com/mj-news/frank-dileo-talks-about-michael-and-the-tii-tour.html

Q. Where does that leave you at this point?
There are a few things that have to get cleared up. I have to make sure the estate understands some of the things that I know. I’ve been appointed to the board of Sony/ATV Music Publishing. So I have a role to play there. Michael wrote the letter getting me appointed. After they removed Dr. Thome, they added myself and Joel Katz.

He also says it in the vid with Raffles.

Joel Katz states it in this website, but its really strange imo as it states "Appointed by Michael Jackson" as though he expects it to be questioned:

Michael Jackson's Doc loses another confidant to drug abuse

A loose associate of Michael Jackson's, Bruce Ayers, an employee for his old dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, was found dead today.
Bruce Ayers worked for Dr. Klein for three years and was known to abuse prescription pills even while he was employed with the doctor.
Dr. Klein stated that he was aware that Ayers was addicted to drugs when he hired him as a research assistant, but he believed that he was getting sober at the time. Klein states that when he realized that Ayers' drug problem had resurfaced in 2009, when 100 Percocet pills came up missing from his office, the doctor fired him.
Ayers apparently met Michael Jackson several times while working for Klein and was a known drug abuser.
When authorities discovered Ayers' body on Dec. 18, they also found hospital records showing that he had been hospitalized on three separate occasions for pain issues since August.
Ayers' cause of death is still under investigation pending toxicology reports.

I was kind of thinking that if Dileo had Klein's number & perhaps a business relationship with the assistant - perhaps it was Dileo who leaked the time of the doctor's visits to the paps.

Michael Jackson's Doc -- Ex-Employee Dies

12/30/2009 9:50 AM PST by TMZ Staff
1230_arnie_klein_ex_tmz_01-1.jpg
TMZ has learned Dr. Arnold Klein, who treated Michael Jackson for decades, had an office employee who just died ... an employee who had a history of drug abuse, even while working for Dr. Klein.

Bruce Ayers, who worked for three years as Dr. Klein's research assistant and confidant, was found dead on a sidewalk on December 18 in Los Angeles.

Dr. Klein tells TMZ he fired the 44-year-old Ayers in February, after learning Ayers was allegedly stealing drugs and money from Klein's office.

We're told Dr. Klein stored certain drugs at a pharmacy he used to fill prescriptions for patients. When the drugs would expire, there was a protocol for destroying them. But Klein says Ayers would go to the pharmacy and get expired Demerol for his own use -- and the pharmacy gave it to him. Klein says the pharmacy violated protocol.

We're told Dr. Klein knew Ayers was a drug addict when he hired him but at the time Ayers was on the wagon. Klein says it became painfully obvious at the beginning of 2009 that Ayers' drug problem had resurfaced. Several members of Klein's staff told the Dr. they would quit unless he fired Ayers.

And, we're told, after Ayers was fired, Klein's staff realized 100 Percocet pills were missing.

We've learned Ayers, who met Michael Jackson many times while working for Klein, had a history of abusing pain meds.

When Ayers' body was discovered, authorities found hospital records showing that he had been admitted to three different hospitals since August, in each case for pain issues -- and in each case he was discharged with various meds.

The L.A. County Coroner has deferred Ayers' cause of death, pending toxicology tests.

From Muzik's blog:

Despite of Robert Friedman’s constant attempts to white-wash him,
Frank Dileo is a scam artist whose veracity shouldn't be trusted.

Frank 'Tookie' Dileo was hired by Michael Jackson in August 1983. At the time, Dileo was the Vice President of promotion at Epic Records. Dileo had no experience as a manager. Industry observers questioned Michael’s decision. What drew Michael to Dileo? Walter Yetnikoff wrote in his book “Tookie, like all great promo men, could sell. He was a fast talker and a slick operator.

Dileo claims Michael rehired him as his manager in March 2009. This is a blatant lie, concocted after Michael's death. Dileo is part of an elaborate conspiracy against Michael Jackson. He was never hired….by Michael Jackson anyway…Dileo was brought into Michael’s life by Randy Phillips. The entrance of Frank Dileo and Leonard Rowe into Michael's life are intertwined and pertains to AllGood Entertainment. This topic will be covered in detail in a later blogpost.

Michael Jackson never rehired Frank Dileo as his manager.

Dileo misrepresented himself as Michael’s manager to AllGood Entertainment-
a concert promoter aspiring to organize a Jackson Family Show in Texas.

Frank Dileo and his business partner, Mark Lamicka, signed a binder agreement with AllGood Entertainment on November 26, 2008. The binder was signed on behalf of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and the Jackson brothers. Frank Dileo represented NONE of these artists.

Dileo and Lamicka had no intention of fulfilling their end of the bargain. Their modus operandi is to swindle promoters out of upfront fees, in AllGood's case, $2 million binder fee plus $550,000 commission.

AllGood Entertainment came across a federal lawsuit where Mark Lamicka scammed 2 promoters. AllGood and its investors grew uncomfortable giving Dileo any monies before they receive a contract with Michael’s signature. Dileo stated he wouldn’t talk to Michael before he received the monies. The parties went onto a limbo, attempting to negotiate. Finally, in February 2009, AllGood Entertainment moved onto Plan B: Enter Leonard Rowe.

Failing to scam AllGood Entertainment, Dileo and Lamicka, moved onto their
next prey: Enter Citadel. Dileo et al. signed a binder with Citadel on April 1, 2009, promising a Michael Jackson concert in Trinidad and Tobago in the fall of 2009. As per the binder agreement, Citadel transferred $300,000 to Dileo. After Michael’s death, Citadel requested its money back but Dileo refused.

Both Citadel and AllGood Entertainment are currently litigating Frank Dileo.

If Dileo was Michael’s manager, he wouldn’t have signed a binder with Citadel for Michael Jackson to perform in Trinidad, knowing that Michael would be in London.

If Dileo was Michael’s manager, AEG wouldn’t have responded on April 11, 2009 to AllGood Entertainment’s cease and desist letter by stating “Mr Dileo doesn’t involve AEG in any manner whatsoever.”

If Dileo was Michael’s manager, he would have handled the UCLA Press Conference, NOT Thome Thome who Dileo claims were fired on May 5, 2009. Apparently Tohme Tohme didn't get the termination letter, just as Leonard Rowe didn't get his termination letter that Frank Dileo claims he sent out!

Where was Dileo during the UCLA Press conference? Right on the stage (1:35)

Dileo is a conman, to say the least, who is aiding other conmen in cover-up
of an elaborate conspiracy against Michael Jackson. Dileo who was making
his living by scamming promoters is now being rewarded grandiosely. He is collecting royalties as This Is It movie, he got paid from the Estate for managerial fees and he was appointed to the Sony/ATV Board AFTER Michael’s death.

The description that best suits Frank Dileo came from his unofficial defense attorney, Roger Friedman. "Hustlers, gypsies, tramps and thieves sneak around the Jackson saga to see if there is any money for them."

***** SHOWS DELAYED, BUT ARE DEFINITELY ON
By: Roger Friedman May 11, 2009

Concert promoters who never came up with the money and never had real agreement are suing ***** and former (like in the 80s) manager Frank dileo, claiming that they'd agreed to be part of some kind of Jackson family tour with the Jackson 5 and Janet Jackson. Good luck: Dileo does not represent Jackson.

***** HIT WITH RIDICULOUS LAWSUIT
Br: Roger Friedman June 10, 2009

Concert promoter Patrick Allocco sued Jackson today, along with AEG and Jackson's long ago former manager Frank Dileo- long ago as in 20 years.

AEG started negotiating with Jackson in 2007. Dileo wasn't Jackson's manager then and isn't now technically. Dileo has only been working with Michael recently again and still, I am told, has NO formal written agreement with him.

While all the hustlers, gypsies, tramps and thieves sneak around the Jackson saga to see if there is any money for them the Kind of Pop actually rehearsing the Show. Frank Dileo may be back as the official manager.

***** REHEARSALS MOVE TO LA ARENA
By: Roger Friedman June 25, 2009

In preparing for the 50 London Shows, Jackson has at last signed former manager Frank Dileo to oversee the proceedings.

I think it was Jason (the same guy who went to the tabloids with his idiotic "love" stories I assume).

Dileo's account of when he heard is in this vid at 5:39, note Frank wiping his face at 6:43 :puke: "The phone rang, this girl said to me "There's an ambulance outside of Michael's gates", so I called Michael's assistant - he said something happened to Michael, I don't know exactly what happened but the doctor's with him, they're working on him":
