Michael - The Great Album Debate

Yeah, KingmikeJ, you support Jacksons, but you don´t support what they told about those Cascio´s tracks.

By the way, Jab me music (CASCIOS) erased all the comparisons, as always.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

isn't Cascio's "angelikson" (doesn't it look like a combination of "angel" (eddie's nick name) and "jackson" btw) and "jab me" is rumored to be james porte?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I have a question for all believers:

What if the other Cascio songs leaked, with RAW vocals only. No processed vocals, no "melodyned", no whatever. And they would sound even closer to Jason Malachi than what you already think (you've all said the vocals does sound a bit like Malachi, but more Michael). Would you still think it was Michael Jackson? If not, would it change your mind about the already released ones?

I think that's an interesting question.

EDIT: I forgot to complete the question -.-

^^ I was just about to write that! :D

I'd think the vocals were Michael. :)

I'd be wondering...If they originally sounded like Michael then what exactly is the purpose of altering his voice on every Cascio track? People buy Michael Jackson album's because we love his voice, not a messed up altered version of it.

Well let's take the example of Hollywood Tonight. The vocals aren't very powerful. Also on the songs there is major copy-paste everywhere,so the songs weren't complete.
I can bet they tried to create something from not so much material.

Example: Breaking News has 70% only background vocals and 30% lead vocals copy pasted here and there.

improve sound quality / correct possible mistakes

For example think about the phone/ tape message in the beginning of "the way you love me"

- is that sound like Michael? yes
- could that be used in a professional recording as the vocals? no
- can we process it to make it more usable? yes
- will it sound altered? yes.

it's like a cost- benefit analysis IMO. sure the more you process something the more "off" it will sound but at the same time the more you process it the more it would become usable in a release.

and sure they could have released an album of MJ recordings "as is" but it wouldn't have the wide commercial appeal for general public.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Monster on the other hand, sounds like a finished song. It has all the vocals a song needs.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I'd say Teddy altered the voices so greatly in order to fit his instrumentation. Not an ethical choice, sure, but that's what he came there to do and they possibly thought that the songs were good enough to be on the album.

Monster it's basically spoken with some speed effect added on the voice and a robotic vibrato :D

I wonder the quality.

I know people do not like Eddie but was it in the "making of video", he said " I worked with what I had" - that doesn't sound too promising. Plus with all the additional stuff it makes me think that there was an issue with that vocals in regards to quality.

and I wish we were able to listen to the raw vocals and had a better idea one way or another. perhaps one day, we can still hope :)

That's what I've been thinking for some time! I think that "Monster" was originally going to be a slow song! That's why there's hardly any punch to it, at least in most of it. He sounds far too calm for a fast track!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I didn't make any claims of that sort, did I?

It's just based on the sales figures it doesn't seem like Sony would classify it as a "miserable flop".

It certainly isn't a miserable flop. However, US sales are definitely below initial forecasts. Prior to the release, first week sales alone were targeted in the 400K range. To date, the album has moved about 500K units in the US. There are still about 400K or so units remaning from the initial shipment which I believe is now selling less than 15K units per week. Based on the current trend, it would take months to move through the remaining stock with many returns likely. In the UK, 'Number Ones' beat out the numbers for 'Michael' for several weeks following the initial release of 'Michael'. In other countries such as Germany and Spain 'Michael' has performed quite well. In an older post, Smooth mentioned that Sony was planning a second release of the album with a final target of about 7M units worldwide. This does not seem possible given the current circumstances. Definitely, things have not gone according to plan in terms of sales despite Sony's constant spinning the fact that they shipped 3M units globally.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Its obvious someone linked to the Cascios/Malachi/Teddy or themselves are reading this board and other boards. Within hours of a comparison video going online it is taken down by jab me music or whatever rubbish music production companies call themselves today.

Well, if you are reading this, then keep taking them down :) Because more and more will go up. The more new music you create Jason, the material we have to compare. Keep doin' it. :)
Because your lies will be exposed for what they really are and what YOU really are. Mark my words.
You try to hide and cover up everything that you so desperately do not want others to know.

Your career (Or anything that you had OF ONE) is over, forever. You have destroyed yourself and you only have yourself to blame. :)

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I am pretty sure that Sony is very sorry to include those tracks and to not respect the opinion from many Mj forums when they streamed "Breaking news". When they saw the reaction from the fans after the fans heard "Monster" or "Keep your head up", they stopped the support to "Keep your head up", "Monster" or "Breaking news".

The expent so much money in Orianthi and other musicians for nothing.

None of them will be single.

Monster was receiving rave reviews from the general audience, which realistically, outweighs the hardcore Michael Jackson fanbase. I highly doubt the critique from hardcore fans influenced their decisions on the songs being released as singles. If that were the case, the album wouldn't of been released anyway, reality of it is, Breaking News simply isn't fit to be a hit record, neither is KYHU. Monster on the other hand, according to critics and not just hardcore fans, was a hit record. I'm sure they were satisfied with that, regardless of the vocal discussion that was going on within the community. And seeing as the US has only seen two singles, it's still possible Monster will be released to save this album, especially if Hollywood Tonight continues the downward spiral it's been on recently.

It doesn't take a music business insider to figure out Breaking News isn't fit to be released as a single. I'm still scratching my head and cannot figure out why Sony chose to launch the album with Breaking News.

Yes, I know Hold My Hand is the first official single from the album. But, Breaking News is the first song from the album that fans heard. What a disastrous decision? The song was negatively received not only by fans, but by the general audience. What really was in their mind? To test out the Cascio tracks? For what reason though? They didn't plan to change the tracklist anyway. If they really wanted to follow fans' wishes, the track would be excluded.

I don't think they take fans' desire into consideration. If they believe Monster can "save" the album, then why release Hollywood Tonight and Behind The Mask first? Hold My Hand didn't do much at all in promoting the album. Wouldn't they want a song that can appeal to the mainstream audience to be released?

If you really believe those people would be wasting their time with reading on the MJ forums, I strongly recommend to go to a local legal library and read a book about exploitation right and collecting societies.

There are companies with employes which job it is to force through the rights of copyright holders.

To think the persons you accuse of a fraud would do this themselves, is a sign of lack of knowledge.
You should not turn this into a personal vendetta against them. It's nothing but an assumption by you that a fraud would exist in reality. You're also assuming they would waste their time to read the MJ forums, another assumption based on your estimation.

This only shows that you already suffer from some loss of reality. I mean, it's really easy to make an assumption after one another and always deepen the issue and dig deeper if you think you are right about it.
The thing is that your personal feelings and point of view on the issue doesn't help anyone.

Take it to the court, for the sake of all fans that want an end to this endless discussion.
It's not even a very expansive procedure. And there are allegedly "many" people that are on your side.

Jason Malachi reads max-jax. He read and posted on in the past and he still reads it now.

You'd be suprised who reads these boards if you really found out ;)

You want an end to this discussion? So why are you in a thread which CLEARLY states "Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy".

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I hope Jackson family go againts this fakes after the Murray trial.

They have a lot of comparisons and a lot of support from MJ fans.

This is my little text about the situation:

Let me start by a short summary, point by point, why I think that MJ sings in any of the 12 themes of family Cascio ("Breaking news", "Keep your head up", "Monster", "All i need ", etc ...).

Well there you go:

1 - There is a clear controversy over the Cascio's tracks, not only for many fans of MJ, but for many people that it´s not a fan and has listened to the album.

Jackson family members, producers, artists who worked with Michael: (Rodney Jerkins, Batten, Will i am, Quincy Jones, Corey Rooney, 3T, Ne-yo etc ...), also discussed their concerns and reluctance to in believing that this is the voice of Michael Jackson.

2 - Michael worked with Sony on other albums, and had problems with them in promoting his last album, Invincible.

Michael claimed in London, attacking Motolla and Sony Music.

3 - Michael did not sue Sony.

4 - Sony did not sue Michael for the fact 2.

5 - Teddy Riley worked with Michael Jackson in the past, and it is clear he knows how sounds the MJ´s voice.

He said is Michael in the Cascio tracks.

6 - 3T have worked with Michael, and they recorded a duet called "Why", for their first studio album "Brotherhood", plus another song from that album, "I Need You", where Michael made background vocals.

By the way, they are his nephews, and they well known how his uncle worked and sounded, in the same way that Teddy knows the voice of Michael.

They said it is not Michael in the Cascio tracks.

7 - The Jackson family has worked and known Michael forever.

They, with no doubt, know how Michael used to work and definitely how did his voice sound.

They, including his own mother, said it is not Michael in those tracks.

8 - Many fans of Michael Jackson attacked the 3T, since before the launch of the "streaming" of "Breaking News" and without having heard any of the disputed issues, because 3T said that the tracks were fakes.

As soon as most fans heard the tracks, they admitted, for the first time, that the Jackson family may be right in their complaints.

9 - Michael worked with his brothers for many years, both in the "Jackson 5" as in "Jacksons" and then began his adult solo career.

At the root of this separation, much about the envy or the evil that had made an appearance in the media.

Despite that, they all gathered at the Madison Square Garden to celebrate the 30 anniversary of the Mj ´s musical career. They also defended him at his worst, see the last trial and each of the views.

10 - McClain, co-executor of the Estate of MJ was the first to hear the tracks and said that Jackson was not in the Cascios´s tracks.

11 - The family supported this version, and had doubts from the start, as there was no written or signed notes by Michael, or documents showing that Mj wrote or co-wrote the tracks.

12 - Cascio, two days after Michael died, registered the lyrics of the songs and hired a good lawyer.

12 (b) - The songs were written by Porter and Eddie Cascio years ago (2006), and had already been pre-recorded by Porte, singer represented by Frank DiLeo.

13 - Frank DiLeo supports is Mj and he also said that Mj called and told him (by phone) that he was very happy with the work.

14 - Frank DiLeo and Eddie Cascio said that Mj would end the tracks in London.

15 - The owner of Grouse Lodge studios (Ireland), where Mj was working for his new album, said Mj called him to say that after the concerts in London, he will be back to finish the songs.

It also said that Mj had been working with Will i am and other producers (not Cascios).

16 - Mj Rarely do 12 tracks in just 3 months, all the while working on Thriller 25.

17 - Teddy Riley & Eddie Cascio says it doesn´t sounds like Michael because it was recorded in poor condition, and because a tube was used in songs like "Monster."

False, because the "background vocals" of WBSs 2008 was recorded there and sound like MJ:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jd2qGORs8io

18 - Cascio never been renowned producers, and have not worked with any star at MJ level.

It is very rare Michael Jackson trust in that family for the creation of new music, to sing songs that Porte wrote, and that was not Will i am the main producer, when there are thousands of news that was confirmed at the time.

19 - Mj never said, in 2007, that he was working on another music in the house Cascio, other than his work on Thriller 25, which was created with producers such as Will i am.

Friedman always said that there was only resting, and then abandoned them after going to the birthday of Jesse Jackson.

19 (b) - Cascio not appear in the will of Michael Jackson, never leave anything.

20 - Michael, then created and recorded the song "Hold My Hand" featuring Akon, despite being leaked months later.

Nothing was known about these tracks with Cascios, nothing was leaked.

21 - Cascio attended the interview with Oprah to respond to fans and clean up their reputation.

Many fans expected evidences to clarify the matter with the three tracks.

At the end, nothing, no evidence OR VIDEOS OR AUDIO OR HANDWRITTEN NOTES were presented.

They only showed their new music studio funded with $ 5 million that Sony paid them for the 12 subjects.

22 - Sony has ruled only by the attorney for the Estate, which says that many producers, musicians, and people in the world of music (without giving names of the latter), confirm that the voice on these tracks is MJ.

Sony states that they conducted a forensic voice analysis.

From these tests we have not seen anything, not analysis or documents signed or written evidence that is what is heard to say that it was MJ on the Cascio´s tracks.

Who don't know if they just put the "cut and paste" of other old songs ....

23 - Sony Music included Mj handwritten notes in the cd booklet to give more credence to all the tracks on the album.

It is curious that the notes are in some tracks, but none of them in the controversial tracks.

Does not include notes of "Breaking news", "Keep your head up" or "Monster."

Why did Sony include them? To let we think they are all of MJ?.

24 - The voices of the tracks do not sound like Mj Cascio, the way of vocalizing is not MJ, not sung well, no clicks, hums, and other typical things in the work of a demo by MJ.

The themes, however, appear in a clear voice, clean, perfect, and seem to be finished in its entirety.

There are verses, bridges, and ends. They were completed.

25 - Drawing on the comparisons of these three tracks, with other songs sung by Jason Malachi known singer slipped on his day and as Michael, certain tracks such as "Mammacita" or "Let me let go", it´s easy to think, and with no doubt, that the voice of those tracks is from Jason Malachi.

26 - One audio/video comparison was created by former Jason Malachi´s ex producer, Tony Kurtis, who says, with no doubt, that the tracks are sung by Jason Malachi.

27 - The day after they streamed "Breaking news", the YouTube account of Jason Malachi, along with nearly all their videos and public appearances, vanished from the network.

Jason has not spoken about all of this.

28 - In the album's credits do not say who makes the "Lead vocals" on the Cascio's tracks, which did not happened on other discs as Invincible.

29 - Sony made no claims of "cut and paste" that they added from older songs, see the little part from "On the line" in "Monster", or "cut and paste" from "adlibs" of "You Rock my world "in" Breaking news ".

Not to mention the "cut and paste" that was in the first leaks, "Earth Song" in "Keep your head up" and cries of "Ghosts" in "Monster."

30 - Rodney Jerkins and Taryll Jackson, who participated in this project to create a new album of Michael Jackson with unreleased tracks, have said that it is not Michael who sings on the three tracks.

31 - Taryll said that Teddy Riley lied, and he also said that Teddy was happy that at last he had a track where, indeed, sing MJ.

That theme is "Hollywood Tonight."

32 - Corey Rooney (ex-Sony executive and friend of MJ, said that he was at the meeting when they selected the songs, and he maintains that all thought that it was not Michael in the Cascio´s tracks.

33 - Karen Faye, Mj-known makeup artist, said is not Michael in those vocals, and it was not the way he used to sing or work.

34 - The three Cascio's tracks uses concepts of other tracks from Michael Jackson to give more credibility: (Monsters, paparazzi, etc. ...).

There are bits of letters nailed to his other songs of the past, see ("Whatever happens", etc ...).

35 - Thirty-something fan clubs have said they want those cuts out.

36 - Fans of the entire life of Mj have said it's not Michael Jackson.

37 - Sony and Cascio still without any evidence to verify fully that is Michael who sings on these tracks.

Sony ended his statement saying that in the end they contacted Jason Malachi to ask him if he was the man who sang in the tracks.

I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E.

38 - In all the fan clubs of the world is still debate about this, and keep coming videos and comments.

39 - Sony Music could have created an album with the 12 tracks from Cascios.

They have their doubts, and tried to hear from the fans with the streaming of "Breaking News".

Well, those are the essential points, and finally conclude by saying the most important.

These topics may sound more or less to Michael Jackson.

But for now, has not provided any clear evidence (letters, audios, videos etc ...) proving that MJ sung on the Cascio´s tracks.
