Hello MJJC family,

Here we go. We have another story to pass on. Hang on to your hats as it appears the wave of innuendo and unsubstantiated statements have begun.

Many people are rightfully upset about a program Dr. Drew Pinsky just did on Michael, beginning by asking, "Who was the real *****? Addict, freak, idol?" You can read more about it here.

http://mjandjustice4some.blogspot.com/2011/08/shame-on-you-dr-drew.html

It is interesting that right before the trial begins, Dr. Drew foments the negative meme that Michael was a drug addict. He says Michael had a hole over his nose and "bleached" his skin.

If you'd like to leave feedback, you can contact Dr. Drew at:

Also he has a Facebook page and he accepts comments. A few articulate and thoughtful comments may do wonders for Dr. Pinsky's erroneous point of view.

As always we request that your comments are respectful, non-emotional and non-fanlike. Of course there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a fan or admirer of Michael. We just need to maintain our credibility in our efforts or all the work we have done will be in vain. Thank you.

We sincerely appreciate your help in defending, preserving, protecting and honoring Michael’s legacy.

Our best,
MJJC Legacy Project Media Advocacy Team

I'm someone who has listened and supported Dr. Drew for a very long time and it saddens me to hear him speak about Michael this way. Shame on him... He has done many things lately that I disagree with entirely, especially on this new HLN show...

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It's terrible that he's talking about Michael this way.

The way Michael died was, in no way, the way of a "drug addict", in my opinion.

Hello, Kim & Fellow LP Staff - Members of MJJC

I'm one who watched all 4 shows on prime time HLN Teusday & Wednesday night & they all had the Murray Trial on there & all 4 dissed him (MJ). I expected that much from Jane The Vulture Mitchell & Crow Face Disgrace (

Hey >

Basically, these 4 are on a campaign to destroy Michael and prevent him from having justice. Now Drew has something new--a hole over the nose. Had he forgotten that they said his nose fell off. To see a professional person act so stupid makes you wonder even more about the professionalism of Murray. How are we to take doctors seriously when we have Dr. Drew setting a global example of his profession? These 4 seem more vicious than ever, and I think it is because they feel that Muarry will lose and it angers them. Thank God the trial will be televised so people can see the truth of what is happening.

That's it Dr. Drew, when Celebrity Rehab 5, I'm done watching your shows. Retard!

Although I realize Wikipedia is not the holy grail of information, regarding this 'doctor', here is this:

Criticism and praise

In 2009, Pinsky drew criticism from experts for publicly offering professional opinions of celebrities he has never met or personally examined, based on media accounts, and has also drawn the ire of some of those celebrities. Following comments Pinsky made about actor Tom Cruise's belief in Scientology and Lindsay Lohan's drug abuse, Cruise's lawyer compared Pinsky to Joseph Goebbels, and Lohan posted on Twitter, "I thought REAL doctors talked to patients in offices behind closed doors."[32] Pinsky also received criticism in April 2010 for stating that he would frame Lohan for illegal drug use in order to force her into a sobriety program if he were her father.[33] Pinsky responded in the same publication that his remark was intended as hyperbole and a "flight of journalistic excess," not a suggestion as a treatment modality in any way. He stated his intent was to drive home the point about bringing negative consequences to bear for a person dying of addiction when all other options have been exhausted.[34]
Pinsky, who admits in his 2009 book, The Mirror Effect, that he scored a 16 on the Narcissistic Personality Inventory (average is 18 for celebrities), and shares several traits with the "closet narcissist", asserts that he was never motivated by fame to become a media figure, but from a desire to educate the public, especially the youth, on the medical facts distorted by the media. Patient Andy Dick, who made Pinsky his primary care physician, disputes the accusation that Pinsky is motivated by a desire for fame, insisting that Pinsky "really is just this unbelievably caring guy. He really is. He’s almost too caring."[35] Sex Rehab alumnus Duncan Roy, however, has criticized Pinsky's competence. While Roy concedes that Pinsky is highly skilled at treating drug and alcohol addiction, he claims that Pinsky has no knowledge of sex addiction, and that he merely recycled the words and ideas of Jill Vermiere, MFT, one of the therapists on Sex Rehab, who Roy says, along with Dr. John Sealy, were the true therapeutic forces behind his recovery

Another fine example of the medical profession...too bad the medical boards can't decide to prohibit their licensees from prostituting themselves like this...or maybe they should offer a special license in 'media whoredom'.

We can blame Randy Taraborreli for the nose issue! These people make me sick!

Jermaine Jackson on Twitter:
I hope the "rent-a-pundits" on TV were listening to this week's lab results that prove there was no Demerol in Michael's body when he died. Finally, the truth comes out to nail the speculative bullshit that has filled air-time by people who prefer to fill in the blanks rather than stick to facts from court: that there is NO evidence of what my brother was 'under' at the time of Murray's audio recording; there is NO evidence that Michael was "addicted" to Propofol as some, like Dr Drew, have guessed; there is NO evidence that Michael's insomnia was linked to Demerol usage (a defense theory).

Everytime I responded to Dr Drews commentary on his HLN show via his Facebook he deletes it within minutes! I no doubt respond in factual manner with no attacking. Let's continue to speak for Michael to Dr. Drew @ HLN

Pinsky needs to be called out since you can constantly catch him hiding behind his "I gotta do my job of bringing healing to the masses and we're not gonna get anywhere if we pretend MJ isn't a upper class crackwhore with money to pay for his habit". Sorry to be blunt. He is HIDING the hands that throw the rocks. He is constantly bringing up that he is 'being attacked' for 'stating the truth'.

He is insulting the intelligence of his viewers, the Jackson family and the fans by pretending to bring 'addiction issues' out into the open by acting that he is somehow doing the public a favor by slandering the dead who can't refute this nonsense.

Secondly, he DENIES his viewers their perception of reality- that is 'crazy making' and abusive. Just because he says he isn't making incorrect statements, doesn't mean it is so.

I have seen countless references to the mindset of "opiate addiction". Benzos are not opiates- where was he in pharmacology class?
Secondly, stop using Michael Jackson's HOMICIDE as a loudspeaker for your riding your hobby horse. Would he like it if someone invited some "childhood friend" who's seen him on the playground at the age of 13- to draw conclusions about him as a 50 year old???

The problem I see with Pinsky is that he purposefully invites people like Boteach and Oxman who make very clear that they are NOT friends of Michael Jackson's. Then he proceeds to insult Michael by abusively stating he is NOT insulting Michael. It's insidious.

Similar things go for Jane Velez-Mitchell. I think it's very honorable she was able to live a life that is not dominated by her alcoholism- but why is it that people have to chose Michael Jackson to force their personal issues? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG.

Lastly we're not naive, but just wish that Michael's HOMICIDE would stay in the foreground- since that is his manner of death- NOT "opiate addiction". We're not delusional- this trial is not about opiate addiction and childhood 'friends'- but a freakin' homicide.

Dealing with MJ's so-called "Addiction":

The main problem with the lable is that this world is so mediocre and unoriginal a person like MJ scares them. They have to make him fit into a box. Other celebrities have abused opiates, barbiturates and alcohol which resulted in their deaths so they shove Michael into the same narrow category no questions asked. However, the truth is that there has never been anyone like Michael Jackson. He was an original and not a carbon copy of anyone seen before. He was so unique and multi-layered that none of the paid media whores can figure him out so they stick the ADDICT label on him and call it a day. No further analysis or research needed. The fans know better and we won’t allow their lazy lack of professionalism to stand. Calling on all fans and fan groups. Let’s get more aggressive with Drew this coming week. MJ is not the one on trial. HE WAS MURDERED!

Drew, Velez & Grace are so critical about Michael and talk about him as if theyhave known him. Drew claims that according to the autopsy report Michael wasn't in the best of health because Michael had a polyp and something on his lungs. How does he know if Michael knew if the polyp was benign or not? He just rush to give his unrequired diagnosis. He's horrible and a person with mean inclinations.

Velez with her story that she was addicted to alcohol wants to assure that she knows about addiction and that Michael was one. Because she had problems with alcohol, it doesn't mean other people have addiction problems just because you hear about it. She says she understands and try to portray an image of caring about Michael but in her show they keep showing pics/videos of the 2005 trial. So much for caring. With all the thousands of Michael's videos, they have to show the painful ones.

Grace says she wants justice for Michael but keeps calling him a junkie. I don't want to get in her personal life, but what if her deceased boyfriend'd have been an addict to something, would she had liked people to call him a junkie?

It's sad that in order to get TV ratings and gained celebrity entertainers have to make fun of people's pain and kicked them when they are on the floor or even worst, kicked them when they're dead. But I must say, I find Velez less harmful than Drew & Grace.

Those three are mean, they allowed misinformed guests spill lies about a dead man, ratings is what rules their lives.

I agree with you all. Let's write to him and keep letting him know of his wrong-doing.
