(it's so small lol)

 That's exciting!

IKR... I understand it's a fancier version of a remix album. But still, I'm eager to see how they amplify Michael's vocals. The musical director of the show mentioned that they stripped down the musical instruments and focus on Michael's vocals. It should be interesting if done right.

However, how come there is absolutely no official word about such album at all?

It'll probably just be a last minute type of thing..I think I read a long time ago that there was to be an accompanying soundtrack, but not surprised that there is no official announcement....After all, album promotion is not their best feature lol

Perverts!!! :lmao:

P.S. I don't blame Eddie neither. I'd give Michael more than a "jack up". :fear:

Jack you up is slang, you guys know, right???

It means like beat you up, mess you up, throw down.

Tore up from the floor up. LOL!!!

yeah... they probably would let the show premier first and build up the hype from there.

Bhahahahah.... :lmao: :rollin:

i made a fool of myself obviously. :fear:

i thought the slang means a hand job.

with michael, i do have a very dirty mind.

thank you for the clarification... ;)

Imagine if Immortal was actually the name of a new studio album rather than a tour album?

Nah... I've given up that thought. All future releases are posthumous releases. Without Michael being here to lend his genius touch, no new studio album can live up to being immortal.

Off the Wall is immortal.

Thriller is immortal.

BAD is immortal.

Dangerous is immortal.

HIStory is immortal.

BOTDF is immortal.

Invincible is immortal.

Actually, I'm glad that Michael is not named immortal. Otherwise, it would be a laugable irony.

:lmao: You're thinking 'jack off' :hysterical:

It most likely isn't that, but isn't it ironic that we're all clamouring for a Cirque album but it turns out to be a studio album and we're like "Damn! I wanted a remix/soundtrack album! Not 7 new tracks!!".

I don't even trust new albums, unless they're done right, which so far, they haven't proven capable of yet....

Well the Cirque album will most likely be done by... Cirque, with Greg Phillinganes & Kenin Antunes selecting the tracks, order etc. It'll be an amazing thing to tide me over until it eventually gets here.

As for new albums, the way I see it is that the Estate have ONE more chance to get it right with completely new stuff.

I'm confident Sony won't make this mistake again. Whatever they decide to release, I have enough faith to know it will be 100% Michael Jackson.

Then again, it is Sony.

It's just absolutely ridiculous that we have to be saying, 'one more chance' in terms of the Estate...I mean, these people are professionals...what professionals **** up this much? Really? Especially with someone like MJ ..

you bet. :fear:

Exactly! After the Michael fiasco, I almost fear they will butcher more recordings from Michael. The producers may mean well, but they can't pretend to be the genius. For them, the more finished the better. They don't realize the more they mess around with Michael's recordings, the more they take away the essence of Michael.

Unfortunately, the general public cannot tell the difference. It seems the general audience just want some danceable club music. Well... Michael Jackson is WAY more than current sound. Current sound will not stand the test of time. Michael Jackson is IMMORTAL.

Not trying to be Debbie Downer here. But, the Cirque did include Monster and Breaking News in the first place. Okay, say the creative team was 100% confident that the tracks are genuine. Could they just be a little more sensitive about fans' feelings? They were fully aware of the controversies surrounding the tracks and the tracks do sound undoutedly different. Why they inssisted on using them? If these songs are of great quality, then I can understand. But, these songs are just water-down versions of Michael's previous masterpieces.

Again, it takes fans effort in contacting Cirque and the Estate in getting the songs removed. I do appreciate their swift response this time around. However, I'm not confident that the Estate and Sony really know what fans want. I don't understand. I realy don't. Is it really that important to maximize the number of albums they can release in the future? Do they know it's important to find the right balance? Of course it's good to release never-before-heard music; yet, they don't want to do it in a way that would dilute Michael's pristine catalog.

^^ That's what's so alarming....As fans, we shouldn't have to protest til we're blue in the face as to what's appropriate as far as album releases, or removing the Cascio songs from the show, etc....Are they that disconnected? Why are they insisting on shoving those songs down our throats?

I'm just glad the songs are out of the show, at least they listened in that respect...

... Dammit, Debbie! But you're right, it was up to the creative team to include those songs. Personally, I think they included them because - above all else - they were contemporary and catchy. Everyone has to admit that Breaking News can be very catchy and Monster, well... Fitted the theme. They're not perfect, but the fact that Cirque responded so fast to these outcries do show that they're passionate about what they do and they are trying to please the fans. They had one misstep, but that didn't see the general public.

I think that all the Cascio songs are a perfect example of how the songs are not Michael Jackson. :D

Well ... :D
I think KYHU e.g. is spot on, but since it's on an official MJ record ... 'Water' might be easier to accept as a fake for some.

IMHO, I think Unbreakable, Threatened and Tabloid Junkie sound way better than Breaking News and Monster. I'm not even talking about the vocal. Sonically, any song on Invincible sounds better.

Cirque du Soleil show has its own following. So, the Immortal does not only appeal to fans, but the general public as well. The show can be a great platform to introduce some of the lesser known songs, such as Unbreakable and Threatened, to non-fans. It really is a crime that songs like Speechless and Whatever Happens are virtually unknown outside of fan community.

I'm not saying the Cirque team should put the entire Invincible in the setlist though. But, it'll be great if they give some time to the lesser known masterpieces.

^^hope so... Speechless is otherworldly beautiful.

I'm excited about the Cirque show as well... I'm not really a Cirque fan. But, I believe the combination of Cirque and Michael's music can truely create magic.

I agree...I never had the desire to see a Cirque show...I mean, I'm sure they're great, but it just never crossed my mind to go to Vegas anytime soon....But you're right, with the combination including Michael, I think it'll truly be magic....The show I'm going to is about 4 hours away from where I live...It'll be a little road trip for my sister and I ....:D
