Hello everyone,

Many have suggested that MJ had no real soundalike. However many songs such as Let me let go or Mamacita mislead some fans to believe that it was MJ singing them. The real question and controversy is: what is this something that MJ possesses regarding his vocal abilities compared to all the soundalikes that you know that betrays them?

I would say Michael is the most talented and giften vocalist of all time. No one can reach that range, power or emotion.

Who's the best soundalike in your opinion that could fool the general public?

Can't you just wait for the thread to be reopened?

I am not in the mood of fighting over the Cascio songs, but in the mood of discussing MJ's vocal abilities vs other soundalikes. There is no such thread, so I had to open it.

Could anyone give a list of the best MJ soundalikes and post their performance?

this.
Bruno Mars may not be a soundalike but when he sang Dirty Diana, he did a great job technically, but it sounded like it didn't mean anything to him. There was no soul.

It all boils down to this for me, and I'm quoting Marvin Gaye:

“Michael has the quality that separates the merely sentimental from the truly heartfelt....rooted in the blues”.

He beamed love for music. You could hear it when he sang and you could see it when he danced.

What do you think of this cover :

I understand you all, and I feel the same. But the big question remains what is that magical touch that does that to us when we hear MJ?

this.

I heard that performance....He did great, but you're right, he can't deliver that soul like Michael did....No one can really do any of his songs...

Personally I find that no one sounds like him, and if they do, it's easy to tell the difference because of all the nuances of his voice....He can go from soulful and soothing to fun and gritty and back again with no effort whatsoever...

I'm going to close this thread because if a thread is closed you need to wait for it to be opened.

and you need to open the threads in the appropriate section. just because you call it a controversy it doesn't make it one. "Michaelmania" is more appropriate section for this.
