Michael - The Great Album Debate

I have just learned that Sony are planning to use the rest of the unreleased CASCIO songs for future albums.

"We want to use the cascio songs for future albums", is what they have recently told someone.

F*** you, Sony.

What the fvck for?? It's just so, so sad and maddening that amazing songs are unreleased, in the vault, and the trash Cascio songs get to see the light of day....Makes.No.Sense

After all the things fans did like the public tweets to producers, among themselves, the Cirque Facebook site, the discussions about this on forums...They must know that we know.

*shakes head in disbelief*. I don't understand.

If this is true, I'm very sad about it.

They should stop it. They already tainted Michael's legacy with 3 songs on the album.

This 'mistake' should be made undone (that's not going to happen of course, why should Sony(or Estate?) bring any attention to this after a whole year and the general public doesn't know a thing about these tracks, so...), instead of only making it bigger.

I hope this won't happen.

I am NOT kidding, I am serious. I don't think I can tell you how and where I got the info, but it's true. And it's disgusting.

THAT. IS. IT.

Guys, this is rash but I suggest a boycott on all unreleased albums now, regardless of the real-to-fake ratio. The ONLY exception is IMMORTAL, because that should not be punished for including parts of the tracks that weren't fabricated. Even if they release amazing songs like Men in Black, we can't get them until they realize what they are doing!!

... Wait, isn't the Estate a part of the tracklisting process?

You know...authenticity aside (like that's not bad enough), the songs are MEDIOCRE....They do not even represent a fraction of a fraction of Michael's artistry....Why they insist on using these is beyond me....

ok I understand you can't tell us. But in your opinion, is the info reliable?

Only reason I can think of that maybe they don't have enough authentic/complete material for whole albums to be used? (apart from the few songs like 'Blue Gangster' and 'Slave'). Desperate needs call for desperate measures?

On the other hand, they could finish them themselves? Oh, I don't know.

It just pisses me off that if that's the reason, the only alternative is to fake the songs??? Geez....Michael keeps getting shafted each and every time....

Well, I won't be buying any more albums...that's for sure....

Well I really, really want them to release the tracks so people can hear how they try to sell the fakes.

Anyway, there is a difference between what Sony says and their true reasons. I still believe (or at least I hope... ) that they registered the tracks on BMI to have the legal rights on the tracks and to be able to bothers those who wanna leak them. Of course they have to claim that it's because they want to release them... they won't say "we are fighting desperately to remove all the comparisons and to prevent the rest from leaking.."

It'll just be a repeat of the same situation we're in now, though...Although this time, I think the sales numbers will be much lower....Maybe then it'll get through their heads that it's not a good idea to release fake songs...Like they shouldn't have figured that out in the first place...

When they release songs such as Fall in love or even Water, I wonder if they'd have guts to label the lead vocals as Michael's :lmao:

Definitely, it's sales suicide to do something like that AGAIN!!!! The only way I would EVER have another album with Cascio material is if I got it for free, and it goes without saying that I would only listen to the genuine songs.

Ugh, but it's bad enough that fake songs will be sandwiched between genuine songs...It's just the whole principle of it all...I mean, picture this: Fall in Love et al right after Slave or Blue Gangsta...I mean, the difference is vast! ...

And why the hell do we hear the Cascio songs and STILL NO 'A Place With No Name'?!!?....I'm drooling for this song lol

So sad...

On a brighter note, I'm going to see the Immortal show in 10 days :D :wild:

I have also gotten confirmation that some of the Cascio tracks will be released on the 2012 album. They include: All Right, Burn Tonight, and Water. They also stated they have proof the songs are Michael and that it will be used for the promotion of the album.
