Michael - The Great Album Debate

Just compare the grit/husk in "GET IT" vs. "MONSTER" and you'll get the picture how on "MONSTER" the voice is soooo not Michael's.
 
Listen to how Jason's voice shakes on the word "way" in his Don't Walk Away a capella video, then compare it with the "way" from Ready 2 Win. It's about 3:13 on the Cascio mix video. Identical. The exact same shake on both. When has Michael ever done that?

I've never paid attention to MJ's vibrato before. Because it was quite natural and it never struck me. Since I've heard the Cascio tracks, each of them has this lengthy annoying vibrato. Did Teddy process every single track and every single vibrato?

EXACTLY!!!! Teddy has gone on record saying that the vibrato is a result of his magic processing. Yet it is there on all 12 tracks, including versions of the songs from before he worked on them and songs that he didn't work on at all.

And on all JM songs too. Did he also process JM's songs?

Never thought of that. Good point.

Another thing: Teddy Riley comes across as a headheat if something is said to him that he doesn't like. Now, why didn't he get really pissed off about him being accused of fraud? He loved Michael that much, did he? Such an accusation must have really made him angry? Only reaction I can remember from him is the 'read between the lines, people' in a radio-interview and the interview on Oprah where he said you can recognize the authenticity of Michael's voice (he's actually right about that, he only forgot to add ''...Michael's voice on the tracks". Can anyone remember him getting really angry about these accusations somewhere or somehow?

ETA: oh..I see Bumper made that point. Good point Bumper..:D

You'd think so wouldn't you? The issue has been swept aside. When the next album is released, complete with more Cascio tracks and an even worse critical and commercial reception as a result, then a lot of people will have some serious thinking to do.

i agree, i absolutely hate the fact that this thread is in the "controversy" forum. This is not a controversy. this is a FACT. Seriously, how anyone could still argue that there's anything to wonder about after hearing all 12 tracks is completely beyond me. if you STILL think it's michael, you're either lying or you are really really really really confused.

Whether people "want" to see this topic or not, it should be out there. mj fans deserve to know what went on with this release.
