I'm loving this Pros and Cons comparison game. Thiron, thanks for starting it.
Here are my cons:
First, identiy of the two "best" forensic musicologists unknown.
Second, what credentials and experience the forensic musicologists that quality them to be an expert in singing voice recognition? Working musicologists are hired to work on copyright infringement cases most of the time. Singing voice recongnition is still a very elusive discipline.
Is Jason Malachi's words absolutely reliable? The Estate's due diligence effort does not equate to investigation effort.
Some of Michael's collaborators, such as Rodney Jerkins, expressed doubt.
Exactly.
TJ Jackson said it is in impersonator, sounds like Jason Malachi, vibrato is a dead give away.
Taryll Jackson said Breaking News and a few other songs are not Michael Jackson
Corey Rooney said Breaking News is not Michael, statement MJ Estate is bullshit.
Rodney Jerkings said that Breaking News didn't sound like Michael Jackson to him
Karen Faye said that the ‘heaviness’ , instead of of the pure and light quality of Michael’s voice and the ‘holding back’ quality in Breaking News don’t sound right to her.
Jackie Jackson said that he and his friend John McClain expressed concerns about the songs, but weren’t taken seriously.
Jennifer Batten said that Breaking News didn’t sound anything like him and thought is was very weird.
Randy Jackson said that some of the songs on ‘Michael’ are Michael and some aren't and that he would bet his life on that.
Tony Kurtis (producer Jason Malachi) said he knows without a doubt the vocals on Breaking News are Jason Malachi, because he recorded with Jason for ten years off and on. He could never get him as tight as Michael, because Jason is tone deaf and Michael could really sing. He further said that no pitch change can bring out a person's true voice like you hear on Breaking News and that Michael’s vibrato isn’t as fast as Jason’s, plus Jason over uses his. Michael could really sing and he didn’t use it as much.
He would have never thought Jason would have went out like this, because he thought that Jason was a good person that really loved Michael's music.
Many doubters have no idea of the family's tweets prior to listening to Breaking News.
Could someone educate me about the "new style" featured in the Cascio tracks? I honestly don't recognize any. Just average recycled pop pieces.
Michael singing in Hispanic all of a sudden (Burn 2 Night) for instance...
Maybe it's an idea @Thiron to mention all these names as well as the big names who publically stated it's not Michael singing or expressed doubts about the vocals.
And I can't find the quote from Will.I.am, but I thought he also said the same thing, but I'm not sure.
