As I said I didn't follow that thread and today I read it over even in the warning form the controversy talks and the word boycott was obvious in the thread. Once you bring that opinion you open the door to the opposite opinions as well. As a moderator I try to see the overall picture. and I also heard from the person that commented.

anyway it's over now the thread is once again cleaned

maybe because michael IS all over this track? His vocals are copy/pasted all over this joint. The "whys" the "me's" other stuff i can't remember b/c i haven't listened to it in forever . . . but you get my point. could that be why?

Whenever I see that version I think of the Beatles' Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand. I think he just did it for the fun and challenge of it, doing one of your songs in another language.

Burn 2Nite is a different story... if this is all a joke that song may be the punchline.
 
Talking about whining, Soldier Boy is the definition of it. Uffff...... Literally crying while signing it.

And God, these sigs that keeps popping up in here on some of the members with the "I support the cascio songs 100%". Really? So if they want to release more, you will 100% support it? God...

The Cascio tracks, werent meant to be released if they are Michael. If not, then they were. In the state they are in, i dont think they should be released. Blue Gangster, DYKWCA, etc could have a good release if Sony doesnt mess them up.
 
Well I do think some things like "pronunciation" are irrelevant. I am a doubter, but to be fair here's some possible "counter arguements". Note how different MJ pronounces in performances of Billie Jean Dangerous Tour First and Second Leg (and Royal Concert). "as she cossd a scen-eh" And it definitely wasn't because he was on drugs or anything because he sounds the same way during the Royal Concert. Still, his vocal timbre can be compared to other songs at the time (do not compare to Billie Jean studio version; outdated).

Also MJ has a FAST vibrato in some songs like Keep the Faith and SOOML live. However, as much as these vibratos are fast, they are still smooth and "fady" instead of "skippy".

Also it is somewhat irrelevant to say the Cascio tracks are "ripoffs" of other songs when you can say the same thing about MJ's own songs:

Stranger in Moscow - Beautiful Girl - We've Had Enough

Dangerous tracks all have a similar beat thanks to Teddy Riley's New Jack Swing

That said, I still hold by that "ripoff" idea, indeed the Cascio tracks remind me so much of Jason's own songs:

Stay: Bigger Man
Monster: Room 2 Breathe
Keep Your Head Up: How I Do
All I Need: All That You Need Is In You
Water: I Can Make It
Breaking News: Don't Walk Away

All Right reminds me of HIStory Tour Munich in general, due to the way it's compressed in bad quality and the drums go BANG LOL

BTW I think it's strange that there are no lyrics or covers of the "extra" Cascio tracks that leaked more recently. Are they that strict? Although covering songs is sometimes deemed a violation of copyright, I believe it's more based on OPINION than the actual USE of material. I uploaded Breaking News with Vitas dancing to it. That's an album song and they flagged it just because I stated my OPINION!

Did you do that cover? It was really good! I enjoy the melody to that song.. I enjoy the melody to most of the fake songs but nonetheless they are fake and so you can't get the full enjoyment out of them like if Michael had actually recorded them...

I agree with most of your post except I've never thought of Stranger In Moscow and Beautiful Girl sounding anything alike melodically or lyrically!
 
Waters melody is nice, and i have to admit, monster, breaking news, keep your head up, soilder boy, and burn toinght have nice beats. They are catchy.

Black Widow too. I don't think that anyone deny the songs being catchy. They are very catchy indeed. But the voice is plain wrong on different levels.
