Murray sentencing hearing 29th November-/ UPDATE Judge Pastor Sentences MAXimum Penalty

I only got home in time to hear the last part of what Judge Pastor had to say. It was wonderful to hear him take murray apart, bit by bit, to lay bare what murray truly is, to humiliate him before the courtroom and the world media. I can hardly wait to see it all on Youtube. I am surprised murray didn't simply shrivel up and disappear in a puff of evil smoke. Judge Pastor was so eloquent, impassioned and yet professional. And it is heartwarming to know that murray's words from his own documentary helped''put him away'. It is only a shame he can't wind up in state prison for a couple of decades.

I read the probation report and see that Joe, doting father that he is, did not submit any victim statement for the report. Did he provide anything for the hearing today?

There is nothing about this situation that makes me happy, mostley because Michael is not here and he will not come back but also the fact that even if Murray got what he deserved, it's also sad considering how his life will be from now on. There are too many lifes that have been destroyed and that is always sad. But I'm glad that we got what we mostley could get...

Cinzia - Maybe joe was forced to admit that he didn't really have the relationship a son and his father are expected to have.

#ConradMurry sentenced to 4 yrs. Frank Cascio will be on @NancyGraceHLN LIVE tonight with his opinion. Tune in. #MYFRIENDMICHAEL

I'm nervous already, she'll eat him alive won't she? I wish Tmez was available on the estate's retainer to do all these shows.

Not surprise one bit. Don't forget he is roger friedman's good pal and befriends with rabbi schmuley. Thank god! We have the good judge and DA this time. In 05, we have tmez. Michael really had no luck when it came to people around him. But no matter what, truth is always on michael's side.

Are you sure about this? And I was thinking about buying his book???

Re: sentencing hearing 29th November

It is kind of funny that you can get more time in jail for having a kilo of crack than for actually killing someone. For the time that woman got she could had robbed a bank.

But, like I said, that's why the prisons are so crowded. That's also part of the reason why drug laws are being change.

i agree with you its ridiculus!

hey guys thank you so much for the updates. I was at work and I could only guess what was happening. It feels right that he was given the maximum sentence possible. I know he'll only serve half the time, but it's almost beside the point. The important thing was that the record will forever state that a doctor was convicted of ending Michael's life.

When all of us are long gone from this Earth, Michael's story will forever live on and generations of new fans will know that Michael died a victim.

I feel like throughout Michael's life, he was a victim of everything: his family, his father, his fame, his money, his heart, his love, even of himself. But there was no one who could really stand up and speak for him. He was voiceless in so many ways, despite being able to pour out his soul in his music.

Finally in death, much too late, these prosecutors and this amazing judge spoke for him and allowed justice to run its natural course. I'm thankful for that.

It doesn't matter if he's out in 2 years. 2 years is a long time when you've got nothing to do in prison. Hopefully now, he can admit to himself what he did and the tragic consequences it led to. Hopefully now, he can understand the enormity of what he took from those three innocent children and everyone who loved Michael. He'll never be free from that.

Even if he got 15 years in prison, it would never make up for what happened. I was listening to Luther Vandross' Dance With My Father today and it just says everything. Having your father with you is priceless. Nothing, not even all the riches and success in the world can fill that empty void. (You'd only know what it feels like if you're fatherless). There is no sentence that can make it up to Prince, Paris and Blanket- there's nothing that can fill that hole.

I will check out Judge Pastor's statement on yt. It sounds like it was wonderful.

Hallelujah! BUT nothing will bring Michael back. Ok, he was sentenced to 4 years, but nothing in this world can ease our pain of losing Michael forever. *big sigh*

Nancy Grace? :wtf: God, why Frank will speak to this woman :)puke:)?

i wasnt aware of the fact walgren is going to appeal the sentence?? is that even possible because he got the max??

120 mil ??? You can buy a lot of soap with that money!

Con man got off lightly. I'm pretty sure you serve more time for theft. He had no remorse and to think the heinous things he had up his sleeve (i.e recording Michael whilst sedated, filming that documentary where he showed no remorse for Michael's death) makes me sick to my stomach. Today was gut wrenching and heart wrenching. Michael is never coming back. I wouldn't be surprised if Dr Murray continues to practice medicine after spending his term. I'm also hearing that he will only serve 2 of the 4 years sentenced.

Probation report said he was suicidal and mentally disturbed after the verdict. like its surprising hes disturbed!

Complete Statement from the Estate of Michael Jackson - Murray Sentencing!
Michael Jackson’s death was a huge loss to his children, his family, and his fans worldwide. A jury determined Michael’s untimely passing was caused by Conrad Murray. Dr. Murray in pre-trial statements and in a post-trial documentary expressed no remorse or responsibility for Mr. Jackson’s death. The Estate of Michael Jackson believes that the sentence imposed on Conrad Murray by Judge Pastor was appropriate and called for. The egregious conduct of Dr. Murray when “treating” Michael Jackson was bad enough but when coupled with his outrageous lies in trying to cover up his wrongdoing after Michael was dying and/or had died only served to magnify his criminal actions. Michael Jackson was the one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived and he will be missed by millions.

doubt he was ever suicidal, more like playing it to get off. he's totally disturbed. he's a sociopath after all. they're supposed to be disturbed.

I understand your sentiments, but i don't think mj was voiceless and i don't think he was ultimately a victim. His music and performance will outlast all his detractors and will go on down to the next generation - his place in the history books looks secure. He wanted to be the greatest entertainer in the world and he achieved his dream - most people don't get to do that.

Despite all the media threw at him - and they threw everything they could - when he died he was mourned on every continent - there are what, maybe 2 or 3 people in the world that could rival that. He has the most passionate fans to defend him and stand up for him.

CONRAD MURRAY'S LAWYER Driven Away by Hecklers

Conrad Murray's defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan just stormed away from a news conference -- after he was ambushed by hecklers.

Flanagan was in the middle of making a statement, claiming, Murray "led 56 years of exemplary life" -- at which point he was interrupted by someone in the crowd ... "And then he killed Michael Jackson."

Flanagan asked for the hecklers to be removed ... but after nothing happened, Flanagan said, "I'm out of here."

whatever the heck, the most disturbing part about their so called statement was the brothers never being able to tour with mj again, that is all they wanted from him, that is all they looked him as, their meal ticket to be exploited for personal gain. never being able to tour with him again- as if they had toured with him all these years, the last time they toured was over 25 years ago when mj died.

Michael Flanagan is on TMZ right now. Seems like he's implying that the documentary was in order to make some sort of income cause the judge had not allowed him to practice since January. Flanagan nor Chernoff approved of the documentary. Dr Murray was the one who wanted to do it. Used the money to pay for witness', legal staff etc Flanagan says he hasn't been payed in a LONG time.

Says if he apologized today at court he basically admits the verdict is correct, if he denied wrong doing he basically would look stupid.

Asking why they didn't bring in the estate money issue. Says if he brought that up it would basically be inappropriate to claim that the family and his children are better off with him dead then alive. Says that whether Murray was fined 1,000 or 10,000 dollars it wouldn't have mattered. Harvey is asking why not let him walk out with a clean slate after 2 years by arguing the fine which was imposed today.

Murray hasn't spoken with Flanagan yet will speak with him tomorrow though, but he expected it basically. They knew the judges attitude. Murray has NOT lost his will to live never once mentioned this to any of his legal council so suicide claims were untrue. In medical wing in order to isolate him from other prisoners. Not within council's power to get him house arrest. It's the sheriffs control and decision. This will change daily he thinks. Has a unique relationship with Chernoff. Looking back he would NOT have taken this case under these circumstances but he doesn't regret taking it. Says it was interesting he's learned from it.

Sorry if this is not 100% clear I'm typing as fast as I can as the interview goes on.
