Jermaine's "so-called" retraction statement is funny and full of MORE lies.

LOL! First mistake was making his statement so LONG. Trying to cover up all of his lies with MORE lies. Which, in my opinion, just made matters worse.

It doesn't matter how many statements they release (Jermaine) or how many lawyer letters get written (Janet), in my opinion, the DAMAGE IS DONE, and will not be repaired any time soon, IF EVER.

Big Apple - the irony of the situation is that Janet and other Jackson siblings have stated that alot of Michael's issues with the media and the public, he brought on himself!

I found that the Jacksons are very lax in responding to these crises. Remember the lag time between the wildfire story of Katherine Jackson being missing and Jermaine's official response via twitter? It is either that they are oblivious or they are slow.

Like Big Apple2 I think Jermaine can write many letters. I still didn’t believe him.

It’s easy to do this. But I think Jermaine forgot that 3 children suffer this situation.:(

Ivy - you made excellent points about Jermaine's statement.

I truly believe that some siblings do not think that Paris, Prince and Blanket are Michael's biological children. And it pisses them off that children with Jackson blood running through their veins will inherit what those with Jackson blood should inherit.

I have no doubt the above is a major issue. the family must have been gutted when mj had the kids. they knew they were waving goodbye to the cash.

It's funny to me that they questioned paternity after they came out swinging after it was revealed Prince has vitiligo. What would the chances be of Prince's "sperm donor" also have a very rare skin disease as well? Next to none id say. These people need to get their priorities straight. The kids clearly hear everything thats said in the news about them and their family.

At this point, I don't put anything past Randy Jackson. He's a VERY desperate man!

His ship is sinking, which must be driving him even more crazy then he already is.

He's only ally now is Janet, because, in my opinion, NOBODY really cares what Rebbie has to say.

Tito and Jermaine = GONE!

Janet, Rebbie, Randy "it's not over" Jackson are left. Who will jump ship next?

even if, and that's a big if, the children aren't biologically Michaels he still raised them. legally they are his. he left everything to them. so biology is out of the window here. a person can give away his fortune to a stranger if he so likes.

Twitter is very good for Paris. She has made it clear she wants a career in the limelight. If she stayed behind closed doors until she was 18 or 21 then tried to be an actress etc, all focus would be on her being Michael's daughter. She'd have little experience of the media and how to handle the attention and fame.

By being on Twitter she is allowing people to get to know her a little and allowing the Jackson 'novelty' value to wear off. It also allows her to learn from her mistakes about communicating in public and helps prepare her for a life in the limelight. The good and bad.

FInally, let's face it, who would have known about Katherine being kept away until she alerted the world?

I cannot understand the fuss about Paris doing twittering? She is teenage girl and that is her sole duty behave like one:)
I doubt it would make any difference to her if she has 10 thousand followers or 100 thousand, to her they are just numbers.
Also like somebody already said it, it's not her fault people are following her.
Btw, about her age and twitter, Jermajesty, Jermaine's youngest has twitter account too, and I think he is 2 or 3 years younger than Paris. I see a lot of hypocrisy/double standards coming from Jackson family regarding who can do this or that.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge has returned the guardianship of Michael Jackson's three children to their grandmother in an arrangement that also gives their cousin a role as temporary co-guardian.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said during a hearing Thursday that an investigator who looked into the children's care found that Katherine Jackson has been doing a terrific job as guardian and the children love her.
He says they also have a close relationship with their cousin TJ Jackson.
Beckloff says he will finalize the arrangement later in the month but for now he will issue letters of co-guardianship allowing both to make decisions over the children's welfare.
He says Katherine Jackson and TJ have been working closely together since Michael Jackson died and TJ is incredibly respectful of the family matriarch and she is respectful of him.

It's just been reported that Katherine has been reinstated as guardian and TJ will remain temporary guardian till the hearing on August 22nd.

Just got through reading pages upon pages,......lets see....

After about a week, Janet decides to have her lawyer issue a letter seeking a retraction about the 'bitch' and 'slap' reports, also claiming how much damage she suffered. Well, hopefully she realises how much damage she HERSELF caused her public image by the dumb actions that she and her renagade siblings undertook! That woman showed me her true colours when she did that Oprah interview and so I was not surprised at all by this recent move she made. Keep following Randy Janet......he'll do amazing things for you.

Then you have Jermaine issuing that letter rescinding his signature and basically contradicting and playing himself all over. Branca and company showed them all they are'nt playing so one by one they all will have to eat their poorly written words!

Where was their common sense before this all started? If they have such serious issues with The Estate, why not handle it legally instead of thinking that John Branca or John McLain would give into that dumb scare tactic of a letter they sent.

All this has backfired on them as it rightly should have!

Drawing a line in the sand means that you make some decision that is the bottom line. No matter what is said or done you won't be pushed into changing your mind. It means that once someone crosses that line drawn, you are on two opposing sides.

It is not a phrase used to describe cooperation or peace.

However, she said they ‘froze’ when Michael was around.

‘He didn’t like me hugging them,’ she said. ‘But they needed love. I was the only mother they knew.’
In the interview Ms Rwaramba described one occasion when Blanket performed a concert of his father’s songs for her, which made her laugh ‘so hard’ – but that Jackson walked in and ruined the happy scene.

My comment on Grace:

Michael would only worry about someone showing affection to his children who was doing so to gain an attachment that they would then use to try and emotionally blackmail him and hurt his children.

Breaking on HLN now:
HLN is reporting that the judge has restored Katherine Jackson as guardian of the children. He will consider the motion for shared guardianship with TJ Jackson. The judge received a report from the child services department which interviewed KJ and the children and stated it is clear that the children are well cared for.

Beckloff noted that the children, Prince, 15, Paris, 14 and Blanket, 10, also have a close relationship with their 34-year-old cousin TJ Jackson, who was named co-guardian after working closely with Katherine Jackson since Michael Jackson died.
TJ is "incredibly respectful" of the family matriarch and she is respectful of him, the judge said.
Beckloff said he will finalize the arrangement later in the month but for now he will issue letters of co-guardianship allowing both Jacksons to make decisions about the children's welfare.

The shared guardianship plan is apparently designed to remove pressure from Katherine Jackson who was previously named in her son's will as the children's sole guardian.

Perry Sanders Jr., her lawyer, has said the arrangement will allow his client to focus on the children's upbringing and not on home or logistics issues.

TJ Jackson was appointed temporary guardian in a court hearing last week after a bizarre episode in which Katherine Jackson was reported missing but later turned up at an Arizona spa with family members.
Beckloff said last week that he didn't believe Jackson had done anything wrong but suspended her guardianship duties because she had been out of contact with her grandchildren for 10 days.

The changes in guardianship come on the heels of family dissension over Michael Jackson's will, which left nothing to his siblings when he died three years ago. Several of them signed a letter that was leaked to the media alleging the will was a fake and calling on executors of the estate to resign.

The dispute at one point led to a driveway confrontation involving several family members at the Calabasas mansion where Katherine Jackson and the children have been living.
On Wednesday, Jermaine Jackson issued a plea for peace in the family and withdrew his support of the letter.
"Mistakes have been made and irrational things have been said on both sides in a highly charged emotional environment," Jermaine Jackson wrote. "It is time for us all to draw a line in the sand and move toward peace, co-operation, love and healing."

He wrote that the family is still raw from Michael Jackson's death, and his mother has endured incredible stress and pressures since then.

Another party to the Jackson family drama, singer Diana Ross, who was named by Michael Jackson in his will as a potential guardian of the children if Katherine Jackson was not available, issued a statement saying the recent turmoil is a private matter and shouldn't be playing out publicly.

Ross and Jackson were longtime friends before his death in 2009. She has been given notice of court proceedings, but the new agreement apparently will relieve her of any possible guardianship duties, specifying that Katherine and TJ Jackson could replace each other if one or the other became unavailable to serve.
