I love JGF. I don't think it's any weaker than The Girl Is Mine or State of Shock. Of those other two duets I think JGF is much better track. I always found it underrated.

LOL indeed
It was telling to see the part in the Q&A when Branca said there were "10 or 11" songs on HIStory. Nothing against Branca, but this is why I'd like a true MJ expert and musicologist with a real passion for MJ's art to be on the team. Surely it can only help.

From the top of my head, I have absolutely no idea how many songs are on the HIStory album. I'd have to list the songs & count in my head... And truth be told, I do not care to know...I mostly listen from my iPhone , so never have the CD cover in front of me.
I have a bigger confession...I don't how any songs are on OTW, Dangerous...well actually, let me tell you the ones I actually know..so it saves us the time. I know Thriller has 9 & Bad has 11. Yep...that's right,I only know these 2. That is ALL. Seriously ....
Do fans actually get an award for this type of trivia? You lost me. So...what does knowing how many songs are on a album prove?
FIERCE. .....and sexy.
Forever in looooooooooove

then they must fire him and get another one.Maybe the estate does have an expert on hand to help?
If they did in the capacity that I'm talking about then we would have heard of them.Maybe the estate does have an expert on hand to help?

*sigh* It's like people can't take anything that even looks like it might be bordering on criticism when it comes to the estate. What does it prove? Well it goes towards showing that you are an expert on Michael's music. Not that you have to be to be a fan! But that's not what I'm talking about. I can name the amount of songs on all of his adult solo releases but in no way do I consider myself an expert.
All I'm suggesting is they hire someone with a deep knowledge and love of Michael's music (from the Steeltown recordings right up to the end) to join the team. Allow that person access to the vaults, session logs etc... and in turn they're knowledge would become even deeper. Having someone with a true passion and knowledge of MJ's music to help steer releases could only be a good thing.
Elvis' record company has had an Elvis expert in charge of Elvis releases since the early 90's. He does work with the estate but he is employed by the record company. The releases and progress that has been made since he took over has been nothing short of astounding. From finding and releasing things thought lost forever or that was not even known to exist to spearheading a collectors label purely for Elvis releases aimed at hardcore fans. Countless amazing high quality releases.
How it could ever be thought of as a bad thing to have someone like this helping out with Mj releases, I do not understand.
1) Yes, fair enough. I wasn't questioning fandom though. I'm talking about something completely different.2) I suppose it's possible, but there has been no hint of that yet. If so, they couldn't be too involved if we haven't heard of them or if they haven't been credited as an executive producer on the releases so far. This is more along the lines of what I'm talking about. Someone very involved, or even spearheading and choosing projects like Ernst Jorgensen does for Elvis releases for Sony. Leaving the everyday running of the business to Branca who can step back as a consultant on future releases.
