So this may not be the right thread, but I've just got a little question -

When the DVD is released, could somebody experienced mix the TWYMMF performance into the full Wembley show - so we can watch the full show without missing songs?

Could be nice, but i don't think it's allowed to post it as it's official release. Same for guys who can do an enhancement.

Quality looks really good. Looks slightly more detailed and not as 'cartoonish' as the clips we've seen

Judging from your pictures, the quality is above my expectations

What I don't get is what are you talking about mjmax "making something out of this"? As it's an official DVD, this can't ever be uploaded here I think.

I had just spoken to a fan from Netherlands! He just watched the DVD he says "IT´S JUST MINDBLOWING...FULL SCREEN, AND BETTER QUALITY than we all expected. Better quality than the trailer. The APOM and HN previews where total trash!!!"

hmm,no disrespect to you or your friend but somebody is exagerating. it's not full screen (unless that person had the aspect ratio is set wrong). also the quality is not better than the video we already have. the direct dvd vob files for HN and APOM were provided to us.

I don't think so. I think those were the files that Sony sent out to media outlets and not the direct vob files. some also said they were re-encode from ntsc. so while they are close to the final quality they are not the direct vob files.

Bad Tour can't hold a candle to Dangerous Tour!!!


the songs that are performed on both Tours, Dangerous beats them by far!

I didn't like "I Just can't Stop Loving you". Nobody can replace Siedah Garett in the dangerous tour. I didn't see and hear the passion between Sheryl Crow and MJ.

Man In The Mirror was definitely better on the Bad Tour.

Disputable. I personally prefer DWT MITM overall. Not every show, but Monza 1992 beats a LOT unk:

Well, yes... it is "fullscreen".... 4:3 that is... it's not "widescreen"... 16:9, which would be fullscreen on a new TV. Thank god, I still have an old TV. I agree with the rest though. It is exaggerated. The picture quality is bad and certainly not better as expected. Actually it's just what I expected, after hearing that it's sourced from a VHS. I have downloaded some inofficial videos on this very site with much better quality. But whatever. I'm happy to finally have a full Bad DVD.

Yokohama is the same quality as on 'the one' dvd. TWYMMF is less filtred compared to the main concert.
the dvd is NTSC. the 5.1 of Yokohama is just stereo. the rears and lfe are empty.
the average bitrate is 5600kbps.

Let's say its the myth that Bad tour has. When you see the dvd you'll know what i mean.

We are all sick of Dangerous. Bad is something new now and the interest is big. but when you analise his performing. his voice isn't that good on this show. he cracks down on his "Auwwws". And he sings Thriller funny to me :cheeky: Dancing is good, but on Dangerous more perfected and advanced.

For me personally, I like his Dangerous tour voice more overall. MITM live parts in DWT beats Bad tour IMO, that's just one example.

Listen to the vocals for WBSS throughout the Dangerous tour, particularly the Bucharest gig. He is struggling. Compare that to the vocals for most of the Bad Tour. Night and day.

Personally I think the live MITM parts on the Bad Tour were better than the Dangerous Tour - plus he sings more of it live on the Bad Tour.

Thanks for the screenshots!

I like the filtered screens better than the less filtered ones for TWYMMF, but this is just my preference (although it looks a bit cartoonish at times), so I am happy the main concert is like that.

the noise reduction is to high. if it had lees DNR, it could look more natural. on screencaps looks ok, but in motion is "dancing of the wax figure".
the reds are messed up. thts why his cheekbones look little orange (also because of his make-up) sometime. and the lights in some is orange instate of red. thats mostly in HN notible.

and the picture blurres twice, really heavy. but just for few sec. Must be because of the damage of the tape. else its very well cleaned. no spikes that are usual for vhs. only two time i notice something.

lom kit, Could you possibly tell us about the TWYMMF? And if the audio is proper 5.1? Is it possible to remove MJ's vocals cleanly? And compared to the clips we have received, is it close? Are you satisfied with the quality? Anything else you can tell us?

I think we should all be thankful and not pick apart the quality. Let's enjoy any concert we get. Fact is MJ is not going to be doing any more shows period. I have been following this forum for years. I just recently signed up so I can post now I really am thinking why did I do it. We as fans are way to critical. We all wanted this and got it. All the songs and dances have been preformed a million times by MJ. Fact he himself got burned out from performing them. I know all the drama that he went thru that caused his hiatus for a very long time. Fact he reinvented himself and the shows for This is it and it would have been out of this world. Fact he died trying to pull them off. The man did it all for us not himself. He was his own worst enemy in the way he knew our expectations were sky high anytime he did anything. Please do yourself a favor and sit back and enjoy the man for what he is. "The greatest that ever lived" Sorry MJ the films are missing but it is what it is. Thank you Mike for being you and giving us a great show.
