Hahaha Good one...Don't need them yet in my everyday life. By the way to start Class action would be probably cheaper.

Thanks for your incredible contributions to this debate. I am honoured that despite not having enough time to care or determine whether it is Michael on the songs, you chose to spend some of your valuable time with us on this precious Sunday afternoon. I salute you, sir.

Sunday early am. Everybody else still in bed. Enjoying birds singing in the garden... Already suggested the right way to find the truth and to heal the frustration.

All of those added MJ trademarks, from the hiccups to the yelps, from the "hee's" to the "aow's", were added to make the songs more complete, because the original vocals were incomplete, and MJ was no longer around to record the missing parts. Ad-libs are often the last thing recorded.
this, this and this

class action - for emotional distress !

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT - nothing else will help you.

class action, class action, class action

By the way to start Class action would be probably cheaper.

If this tone is not self-persuasion I don't know what it is. As if there is no alternative.

Lol. The best thing though is that s/he comes to debate with earplugs, a sleeping eye mask and a broken record.

This is how I see the believers' logic:

Their logic is like finding thousands of excuses why the rabbit ate the wolf and never questioning whether it's actually normal to see a rabbit devouring the wolf and deliberately denying that the rabbit has vegetarian habits.

That's why their debate is not centered on whether it is normal to see the rabbit eat the wolf, but on how the rabbit ate the wolf.

It's only 6 am where I'm right now so I have little bit of spare time and I just would like to ask you: what the problem you have with Class action if there is so many of you complaining and being unhappy about the issue?

Let's lighten up the mood with a (somewhat) humorous story:

One time while listening to Fall in Love, around the lyric "She says she wanna play the game/ I love it when you say my name," my girlfriend says, "Say your name? Okay. Malachiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii." And I burst out laughing.

is this really a question?

adlibs are generally what the musicians record last, as the songs weren't finished and as they wanted to make the songs more Michael style they added those - as admitted by Teddy Riley. It is no different than finishing or creating Tupac or Biggie songs from copy pastes of already released songs.

For example the Biggie verse on Michael Jackson's Unbreakable is actually taken from an already released Shaq O'Neil song "Can't Stop The Reign". In other words they copied a part of Notorious Big's verse from "Can't Stop The Reign" and pasted it to Michael's "Unbreakable".

According to your logic that verse and/or Unbreakable has to be a fake / fraud because they copied and pasted it why why? The reality is that Biggie was dead and he couldn't record a new verse for Michael so to add him to the songs they copied and pasted it. It's as legit Biggie vocals as it can be. It's a legit MJ song as it can be. The added copy - paste part doesn't take anything from the authenticity of that song.

Whether they added adlibs or not or why they added them is totally irrelevant to the authenticity issue. My recommendation is stick to the lead vocals issue.

Yes, this is really a question.

The Cascio singer recorded ad-libs. That is the problem here. But his ad-libs suck. So they used the word "Why" from Invincible and pasted it few times over those weak ad-libs of the singer.

Unbreakable rap is not copy-pasted breath, or scream or ad-lib. It is the whole rap. It is like a sample. Many artists do that.

I don't understand why they copy-pasted breaths before every other word if it is Michael Jackson singing. And why did they pasted "Why" over already recorded "Why" by "Michael Jackson"? That is my question.

Is it not concerning to believers that literally the only "proof" we have to say that Michael sang these songs are the word of Eddie Cascio, and some vocal recordings that immediately upon first listen had almost the whole fan base up in arms saying they couldn't hear Michael? That is literally all we have. The word of Eddie, and the recordings themselves. No notes from MJ, no outtakes. Not one shred of evidence that Michael ever had anything to do with these songs other than the word of Eddie Cascio. Is that really enough for you? Most believers even admit that the voice is at least strange. So why is Eddie's word enough? You trust this man you know nothing about that much? With the way this issue has exploded and torn through the fan base, you're cool with just the word of Eddie Cascio as your only proof? Does Michael not deserve better? Do his fans not deserve better?

As far as ad-libs, Michael would often sing them while doing the lead vocal take. The background vocals and harmonies would come first (which are suspiciously absent from all Cascio tracks). He would sing every harmony part stacking his own voice on top of itself over and over, then he would sing the lead part over that. That is the usual way Michael recorded vocals during his career.

My mind is blown that this question can still be asked after 20 000 pages on the subject. It's like somebody studying to convert to Christianity and then going, right before Baptism, "wait a second, so who is this Jesus guy again?"

All of those added MJ trademarks, from the hiccups to the yelps, from the "hee's" to the "aow's", were added to make the songs more complete, because the original vocals were incomplete, and MJ was no longer around to record the missing parts. Ad-libs are often the last thing recorded.

Also note that some of the songs DON'T feature those sampled MJ trademarks : All I Need, for instance, has none. And doubters use the ABSENCE of classic MJ'isms on that song to claim that THAT one is fake. So the Cascios can't win with doubters : if there are MJ trademarks on the track, either Malachi did them to fool the listener, or Eddie added them for the same reason. And if there are no MJ'isms, then it proves it's not MJ. So basically doubters can use everything and its complete opposite to prove their point...

By the way, to less conspiracy-minded people, the fact that those songs needed so many samples would indicate that they were NOT sung by an impersonator. Because obviously, if they had an impersonator at their disposal, they would have gotten HIM to sing all of the classic MJ screams and yelps and hiccups. Or maybe they were so clever that they purposedly asked him NOT to, so they could then add samples, and fool people who think that the samples prove it's really MJ...

Or it could just be MJ...

Breaths are not something you record later, after you record the lead vocals. They are part of the lead vocals, it is MJ's why of singing. They pasted those breaths before almost every word in Breaking News.

Ad-libs on Monster were already recorded by Cascio singer. But they suck. They pasted only the word "Why" to make those weak ad-libs sound more like MJ.

The Cascio singer did record everything. Whole verses, bridges, choruses and ad-libs. The breaths, screams and other MJ samples were added intentionally to make them sound like Michael. That poor singer could not sing MJ trademark screams. He tried, but why use his fake screams, when they can paste real ones from MJ songs. And those samples were added by the Cascios (not by Teddy or Sony!) before they sold the songs to Sony. Why would they do that?

The samples were put in by Eddie Cascio and Stuart Brawley two months before they were sold to Sony. I don't believe Brawley was involved in anything else. That's why there is a lot of stuff from Invincible.

I know. That's what makes them even more suspicious. Believers are saying that the samples were added to help finish the missing parts which is not true, because there were no missing parts. It doesnt make any sense that Eddie would put those MJ samples before selling the songs other than to fool the buyers.

@bumper

you have way too much time on your hands

It didn't require much time to answer you know. Few minutes are enough. I was renovating my bathroom the whole day, from 10.00 to 19.00. Just finished with filling joints between the tiles.

p.s.

You’re fearing me, ‘cause you know I’m a beast
Watching you when you sleep, when you’re in bed
I’m underneath
You’re trapped in halls, and my face is the walls
I’m the floor when you fall, and when you scream it’s ‘cause of me
I’m the living dead, the dark thoughts in your head
I heard just what you said
That’s why you’ve got to be threatened by me

heheheh

Man, your internet connection is lagging. We already discussed this like 25000 posts ago.

Doesn't have much to do with the subject, but it's nice to watch and I've never seen this before.

For everyone who doesn't know who the singer in the pink shirt is:

He had some huge hits:

and

(you can hear Michael McDonald in the background singing..:D ("such a long way to go"). My ears are perfect, lol.

Again, no side has any more proof than the other so really, stop fooling yourselves by saying you do.

By all means, the situation around the selling of the Cascio songs is indeed weird, but to assume things that may have never happened is wrong. Only thing you can do is wait for real proof around that case or just go after it via a law suit (I know, I know, it's too difficult/costs too much money). It's an example.

So really, are you all going in a loophole again and insult each other with comments about ear problems etc, because that's pretty sad, in my honest opinion. We've all been there and all done that 1000+ pages ago. So again (and this goes for both sides), stop assuming you got freaking proof because NO one has any proof at THIS very moment.

I've never seen it...! I just love MJ in the studio...Great song too...

Also, it really does have to do with this subject because it's just further footage of MJ in the studio, yet he supposedly didn't want to be on film in studio, and that's the reason why there is no studio footage of MJ recording the Cascio songs

Chamife, you always find all the goodies :D

^ Such amazing, amazing times. Wish I was born earlier

Haha, Michael and Lionel just can't stand still! Man, how I love the old times.

Oh, I would love to have footage from Cascio studio. Probably every day in his pjs, unshaved. From time to time taking break and napping in his bed. But I don't think he would let to be filmed like that. Do you know how long was taking Michael to be prepared for that kind of expose?

There's a lot of footage of MJ in the studio

And apparently MJ had no problem with taking pictures and videotaping in the Cascio house. Frank had no problem in showing pictures of MJ with his family for his book.

Frank never showed the pictures of MJ's living in the house. Only visiting. The only video how MJ is looking at home you can see on private home movies when he is bringing kids to the kitchen. At that time there were only Cascios visiting in Neverland and they were use for him looking like that. However he didn't like to be exposed looking so sloppy in professional filming.

Ivo, read in the chatbar you went to a Lionel Richie concert.

I didn't even know there was a Lionel Richie concert...

Must have been great!

He's baaaaaaaaaaack! :D

Just when you thought he was done, he comes to give it again! :D

It seems that Eddie's lyrics are still GENIUS! And that he still likes to show that he knew Michael through a not-so-subtle image hanging in the studio. Thoughts about Angelikson's re-emergence, and how we missed it (seeing as this was posted in May)?
