Michael - The Great Album Debate

because life continues and Eddie and everyone else has moved on with their lives.. not that much surprising..

He's baaaaaaaaaaack! :D

Just when you thought he was done, he comes to give it again! :D

It seems that Eddie's lyrics are still GENIUS! And that he still likes to show that he knew Michael through a not-so-subtle image hanging in the studio. Thoughts about Angelikson's re-emergence, and how we missed it (seeing as this was posted in May)?

He got himself a nice studio from the money he got for selling Michael. Too bad that this people who work with him don't know what he did to MJ songs.

You mean that Eddie is continuing with his career and isn't having his psyche eaten away by his guilt!? That is most unorthodox and I refuse to believe that he has in any way moved on from this fiendish event!

:p

Honestly, I'm not impressed by what I've heard of Eddie's latest producing venture. Autotune to the point where I'm not sure I'm listening to humans, and I'm not impressed by the lyrics I've heard... Though it's definitely typical of what we've heard already.

Theres a Invincible Era MJ picture, and a typical Billie Jean MJ poster. Eddie loves MJ.....

Question : what happened to that Damien guy from Max Jax? Wasn't he working on some sort of class action lawsuit? What happened to that?

^^ He's still around on Twitter and still talks about the tracks when provoked, but I've heard nothing about a lawsuit under his supervision.

Part of me thinks that the only reason for Eddie's re-emergence is that he was credited as a producer on an official Michael Jackson album, despite being a complete unknown prior to that.

The next Quincy Jones :D

Ive had a few private discussions with Damien about the Casico tracks and he has never mentioned anything about a lawsuit to me. Myself I don't think there is enough conclusive evidence for fans to bring a lawsuit against Sony and most here I think feel the same. But that doesn't mean the information they have gathered is useless as far as learning more about these tracks and how they were produced. Maybe one day more facts will come forward to help every get closer to the truth. For now it makes for a very interesting discussing / debate and that is the purpose of this thread. I guess The discussion will continue until fans get tired of discussing it. A lawsuite isnt required to do that.

Eddie and James are living their lives. Eddie is a long-time producer of the Gospel Hip Hop duo you guys saw in the documentary.
What interested me is whom you guys gathered the informaton (correct or not) from about how the Cascio tracks were produced. Cory Rooney? 3T? or somebody else?

well not everyone can be a "Leonardo Da Vinci", there's nothing wrong with being a small time name. And as for the guilt it requires a wrongdoing which won't be present if the songs are legit. Or it can also be argued that if there's a premeditation to do something wrong it wouldn't be accompanied with any guilt either.

was Damien working on a class action lawsuit? Well I can say that it would have been interesting and if ever happened it would be replied with a counter lawsuit. Some fans have attracted way too much attention to themselves in this regard and I don't think it's wise to keep poking the sleeping beast.

anything can be argued out in the open for all of us to see. What goes on with Eddie and the boys, in the darkness, in their alone time, with their conscience, is another thing. and, once again, one way or the other, they get back what they put out.
i mean, the Arvisos are 'living their lives', too.
they don't have to be DaVinci to do what Michael says in his song, Money. 'If you want to make money, make it with dignity'
they could have taken an even shorter short cut, and robbed a bank, and made a small time name for themselves, there. same difference. somebody could argue a convincing argument to someone to justify a bank robber, too, to someone.

^^ You know I was joking, right Ivy? Humour isn't my forte, but I was dramatising how some doubters may see Eddie's latest venture. And I agree, there's nothing wrong with being a small-time name. Right now I can only hope to achieve that with my film projects. As for the Da Vinci comment, I also agree that it's nigh impossible to create consistent masterpieces. Hell, even Michael couldn't do that with every song he was involved in. But Eddie has had at least five years to grow as a song-writer and I'm not hearing a big improvement, which is sad because I honestly think the guy is good at creating music. I will concede that Breaking News and Monster's instrumentals are nice to listen to because they are extremely well-produced... It's just the vocals I have a problem with :p

personally, i disagree about what you said about Michael and his masterpieces. for me, best selling artist of all time makes at least, a little noise in that direction.:) i think it's safe to say Eddie isn't heading in that direction. i might hazard a guess that all that mattered is what Michael allowed to see the light of day. i might hazard another guess that DaVinci didn't allow some bombs to see the light of day, either. lol

Ivo, read in the chatbar you went to a Lionel Richie concert.

I didn't even know there was a Lionel Richie concert...

Must have been great!

I know this is very offtopic, but yeah, he gave a concert in the Ziggodome in Amsterdam (new building) on the 6th of October. It really was incredible to be there! He's such a great man and artist.

I meant that not every single song that Michael had put out was the absolute best he could do. Now I'm not saying that he's made anything mediocre; far from it. But with any artist - or really anything - every single little bit of output will always be of varying quality. Michael is no exception, except the quality variation was much more restricted than most artists so he did always put out incredible material.

Regarding Damien : no, I don't know whether he was working on a class-action lawsuit; it's just that I remember him writing posts that seemed to imply something like that.

I wouldn't recommend Angelikson studio to any vocalist, unless, of course one wants to end up sounding like Jason Malachi.

You can thank Teddy Riley for that.

I find the BN demo/Premix hilarious with the farting sound after the first chorus XD Probably done before Teddy mixed it, thanks to Eddie! :D

The synth is pretty catchy, the one that comes in during "no matter what, you just wanna read it again".

I guess Eddie has invented a new concept. Once one has recorded there, it is up to the public and forensics to guess who sings.
I think that Eddie should rename his Angelikson studio and call it Anonymoukson studio.

That was Jason Malachi, that's why he sounds like Jason Malachi. You had Michael Jackson recording there WBSS 2008, and he sounded like Michael Jackson. And now you have these 2 guys, I don't think that they'll end up sounding like Jason or someone else.
