why did Cochran do Fieldamn a favor in 1993 ? Why did Chndlers lawyers believe wietzman being part of MJ's team would help them negotiate a good settlement ? These people care about their ownselves, their own interests , not MJ's . They are making millions of MJ now .in 1993 regardless of their failure , his lawyers got paid huge sums . Do I need to remind you that these are NOT the lawyers Randy hired? And maybe you missed it but Cochran is dead. Howard could not do anything unless Michael told him too. Not many people can have missed the “new” allegations about Michael Jackson printed in the Sunday People, yesterday. Which is interesting in itself as, usually, most people don’t even know the magazine is still in print.
Also, usually, the Daily Mail or any other paper never uses any stories from the paper – or actually knows what’s printed in it.
All this changes, apparently, when Michael Jackson is concerned and the lies need to spread around the world.
And what, for those that still don’t know, did the paper print about the singer to demand such -still on-going- coverage around the world?
A rehash of lies and untruths from a non existing FBI file that was known to be fake 20 years ago.
The entire article consisted of nothing more than the fake stories of a former Neverland employee who was discredited back in 93, years before he was shredded under cross-examination by Tom Mesereau. All this was out in the public domain years ago. But every article that rightly and thankfully vindicated Michael seems to have disappeared over the last few months. Even Roger Friedman’s site, on which he gave a point by point explanation on why the documents were faked seems to have been taken down. This one is still up though, and gives a good insight in the fakery that has been going on.
Interesting if you add up what has happened in the last two months: A new lawsuit mirroring the ones in 1993 and 2003. The same fake documents and players popping up. All vindication evidence disappearing. So called fake friends spouting lies in the tabloids – especially on the parentage of the children.
The Sunday People article was published on the day the Jackson family was attending the premiere of the new Michael Jackson One show.
All this frenzy suddenly started in the weeks that even the general public finally started to side with the Jackson family instead of AEG as the evidence of the company’s guilt has become undeniable.
Remember: the company said things would get dirty during the case. And surely paying a few thousand or even a million to a newspaper and a few former “friends” is cheaper than the billions they’d be set to lose if loosing from The Jacksons and being boycotted by the many members (not just the fans!!) of the public after they’d heard the true extend of their horrific treatment of Michael.
These are sad days for Michael Jackson fans. Watching how the stories rehashing the same lies fill the news pages and tabloid shows. Feeling like this, I keep wondering how his family must be doing, hearing all this repeated over and over again. The hurt they must feel hearing their beloved son, brother, father, uncle described in the most spiteful and hurtful terms imaginable. The first thought I had when it was revealed that Paris Jackson would be released from hospital soon was: “Not now!!!” and “Please keep her away from the papers, internet and TV.”
It must also sting for all the young men falsely cited as accusers in the articles. They were friends of Michael. They adored the man whom often helped them in any way they could. Moonwalker’s Brandon Q Adams, whom was cited as one of the accusers in the article has stated: “Not me! They luv 2 tell lies about people… I guess it just comes with the territory.. #MJ #Greatness”
But will this be printed in the papers? Probably not. Instead we will probably be treated to more rehashed lies to mask the articles on the testimonies against AEG in court.
Sadly for a lot of people this “old” news is “new” news, as is the case with any news after you wait long enough, the casual tabloid reader can’t remember the “exclusive” they read last week, let alone a few years ago. They certainly won’t remember that fact that is was discredited or proven to be a lie. Especially not because most rectifications are printed in the smallest corner of a paper or magazine, they might as well print them on invisible paper.

And my sister. She's so gullible she believes anything these tabloids publish and doesn't bother to research for facts before jumping to conclusions. She is completely resistant to anything I throw at her that will enlighten her. There are way too many closed minded, gullible people just like her (as evidenced by twitter when this latest story came out) who want to believe what they want to and nothing can change their minds.

I was on the train today and I read the (free) newspaper Metro. They published a letter from someone defending MJ against these latest "FBI files" allegations, saying it was all about money. This newspaper is read by nearly two million people every day so I hope it enlightened some people

That's unfortunately true, it seems they're psychologically unable and unwilling to accept or listening the truth. As long as there are many people like us who care about Michael, genuinely love him but defend him fiercely from the disgusting lies with facts and accuracy, his beautiful legacy will never die. It's true there many people who hate him but he's received so much endless love as well.

The Desborough - Mann Connection
As one delves into the Sunday People's article, we realize the connections are more interconnected than we thought. The Sunday People published a story a few days ago, which claimed that they were in possession of unseen "FBI files" that alleged Jackson molested dozens of boys and paid them settlement money in order to keep them quiet. Even though the story has been unequivocally fabricated and embellished, only Roger Friedman and Charles Thomson have written articles disproving the lies of the Sunday People.
As you can see above, the article was co-written by tabloid "journalists" James Desborough and David Gardner. In the four years since Michael Jackson died, Desborough has written several pieces for the now defunct UK tabloid, News of the World. Among these pieces are:
1. LaToya's interview: Michael Was Murdered
2. Joe Jackson Blames Katherine Jackson for Michael's Death
3. Michael's Deathbed Photos and Secret Funeral
4. Jackson was Dead an Hour Before Paramedics Arrived
5. MJ Feared He Had Heart Condition, Brain Tumor and Cancer
6. Michael Jackson Leaves His Kids More Than $33 Million In His Will (Includes trust documents)
The articles that would perk our interest are the death bed photos and the trust documents. Clearly, these documents would only be leaked by a Jackson family member, one of their attorneys or business associates.
@Ivy_4MJ and I were talking about it, and she said that Howard Mann mentioned in a deposition that he used a News of the World source. When she dug up the document, lo and behold this is what he said under oath:
Howard Mann's connection to News of the World is James Desborough, the very same "journalist" who wrote the fake FBI story.
Some fans will remember that Howard Mann went into a contractual agreement with Katherine Jackson shortly after Michael died. Katherine's book Never Can Say Goodbye, Michael's children's appearance on Good Morning America and a website dedicated to Michael and his music were all part of that agreement.
However, the executors of Michael's Estate sued Howard Mann, citing that Mann was infringing on Jackson's intellectual property, which the Estate exclusively owns. You can read about the Estate's lawsuit against Mann here. For another blog about Mann, click here,
The majority of Jackson's fans protested Howard Mann and his questionable dealings with Katherine Jackson. A twitterthon was held in protest of Mann, and the image below shows that MJ fans clearly disliked and disapproved of Mann.
The majority of Michael's fans feel there is no coincidence that the Sunday People published this libelous article on the very same day as the premiere of Jackson's new Cirque du Soleil show, MJ ONE. And while there is no definitive proof that Howard Mann sought to sabotage the Estate by selling this story to the tabloids along with Paul Baressi, it does show us that there is a link between journalist James Desborough and Howard Mann. Both should keep in mind that Jackson's fans will research until we have reached every avenue in order to preserve his legacy.

you know, i dont understand why the FBI hasnt responded to this. And not to save MJ's ass from the media onslaught, but to protect them selves. As it is right now, the FBI is being publicly accused of having protected a "dangerous pedophile" from going to jail, because they, according the the article, had incriminating evidence, but failed to hand it over to Sneddon in 05, and they failed to arrest MJ before and after 05. Surely they wouldn't want to be associated with obstruction of justice?

you know, i dont understand why the FBI hasnt responded to this. And not to save MJ's ass from the media onslaught, but to protect them selves. As it is right now, the FBI is being publicly accused of having protected a "dangerous pedophile" from going to jail, because they, according the the article, had incriminating evidence, but failed to hand it over to Sneddon in 05, and they failed to arrest MJ before and after 05. Surely they wouldn't want to be associated with obstruction of justice?

That crossed my mind too, but it's not that plausible - you can easily debunk the story without putting the blame on barresi. Roger's done that quite easily, he's a pal of barresi and just said that the source to the sunday people is an anonymous assistant to pellicano who has copies of all pellicano's files which include barresi's docs.
We can see a pattern from the past, the estate is just not getting involved in defending mj from any allegations, child abuse or anything else. They only really reluctantly got drawn into that aaron carter affair and seemed surprised that they were being asked to refute whatever nonsense that daphne barack interview came up with. They only come down hard when the will is challenged, when they're accused of being involved in mj's death (fair enough), not paying mrs j enough money and anything relating to their position as executorship of mj's estate. As for mj's personal reputation, as opposed to his professional rep ie how many records thriller has sold, well that has to fend for itself with no public help from his estate. It looks like Wade's allegations were only countered by weitzman because he had filed a lawsuit against the estate. So all future media articles on these new fbi files which claim to show mj paid off dozens of boys he apparently abused will contain no formal counter statement putting the record straight. His mother and her lawyers are too concerned with getting money from aeg, his sibs look the other way and his children are too young. Mj's dead so although he left a powerful $billion estate which looks after his family, no one is prepared to act as his spokesperson and officially defend him That's how i'm seeing things anyway - extraordinary and depressing.

It seems as if it's down to the fans to protect and preserve MJ's legacy, integrity and his right to privacy. And while i'd happily to that (heck, i'll protect MJ til my last breath) we're not the ones getting a very generous pay check for managing MJ's estate.....
Im sure you could find a handfull of fans who'd gladly take on that role for free....
