Michael - The Great Album Debate

There's more from that untold website tomorrow??

Tabloid Junk is putting up an exclusive interview tomorrow with them on his youtube channel! And i'm not sure if we will get more info from the website, most likely though!

The whole campaign is going to be unveiled. The interview is just one part of it. Hold on tight!

This is truly it, guys. This should be moved to the news section, had I been the mod or admin here. Within 24 hours, the cannons are fired. Stay tuned.

The way this is being hyped up it better be some concrete stuff. I hope so.

Turns out it's a book project. That's actually a really good idea. I've donated already. I have great trust in the people behind this who are real MJ fans who seem to have dedicated a large part of their life's over the past 3 years to this project. I hope some believers donate also as I think every single MJ fan in the world will want to read this book. Good to see it's already close to $2,000!

2011:

"Wait for Damien's doc"
"lots of interviews conducted"

2 years later...
Nothing substantial - as expected. If I interview someone like Rooney who is against Cascio or people who worked with Jason that are telling themselves they'd unmistakenly recognize his voice in those recordings, what does this help aka reveal?
Damien & Co. do not have anything but their own opinions, no facts, no alleged exposure.

Is that what you are waiting for?

Don't get me wrong: I'm not against the book, I'm not supporting it either. My point is that it won't change anything.

I hope we can be allowed to discuss this in the other thread in the news section. It would be a shame to see it moved to this forum, where no one sees it

I'm actually a bit disappointed. I thought it would fianally be over. Like a lawsuit against Cascio brothers for fraud and concealing a fraud or confession from Malachi or Porte.

I'm sorry. But if you want to raise money for a book wouldn't we need more time? Like....years? I haven't seen the full video yet though so.what I say is coming from posts I read.

Why do we need a BOOK. When everything can be published online for free.
I thought it would be big info and not something silly. The final nail in the coffin has yet to be pushed in....yesterday I thought the hammer was going to come down. Today, currently, I believe otherwise.

The Cascio tracks mustn't be a big deal.

No. You'd be surprised how effective Kickstarter is. It surely won't take years to raise towards that amount. You'd be surprised how quickly 5's and 10's and occasional but consistent donations of larger bills, accumulates.

You should watch the interview. Your questions are all answered in it.

Watching the interview. Thankful the fans are finally getting in on this but I have to say it does look like they are writing a book about everything we already know and maybe the Estate will respond. But they might prove me wrong, and boy do I hope they do. It's time this is finally respectfully acknowledged and put to rest.

Really? Seems like the exact opposite to me.

As I watched the rest of it it definitely seems like they have uncovered something. Whether this book will make a big enough impact, I don't really know.

Been done many times before you even joined :)

And each time, the polls always said the songs are fake and also most disliked out of the tracklist.

Thanks, don't want to open a can of worms, but why 'many' polls? I'm curious now.

Here is which ones you look most forward to:

I am sure there was at least one more which I can't find

Also, you should seriously read through the threads. Go here:

I don't understand how one can listen to those 12 songs knowing they could forever hold the official title of songs performed by Michael Jackson and not want to do something. How can you listen to those 12 songs and be comfortable with that?

I agree. SOMETHING is better than NOTHING.

Even if I believed all the songs were Michael, I still would support SOMETHING to get more information on the songs.

I mean, I'd pay for a book with lots of information about, let's say, songs MJ did with Rodney...

To put it simple, people move on. It's been 3 years and it's quite clear that Sony and the Estate moved on from the issue ages ago. They also stated there's going to be no more Cascio tracks ever. Not only that but the album isn't really that great either, it's forgettable and if the album itself is forgettable, some people aren't going to really care as much about a bit of controversy to do with 3/10 of the album (I know MJ fans who don't even have the album in their library, myself included, and they don't even miss it).

But yes, I suppose the key thing is that people just move on, they have other things to worry about in life. The debate itself appears pretty much dead and while there may be a small number of fans who still go on about it, nothing really substantial has really happened since 2010 and we're almost in 2014 now.

For a few other fans I've talked to irl and me personally, I just couldn't really care anymore. I've moved on and it's as simple as that really. I'd rather focus on the far more superior and amazing aspects of Michael's career that made him the amazing performer that he is, than focus on a years old controversy related to a dud of an album that hasn't even made a mere scratch on his phenomenal legacy.

In saying all that, I still understand and respect where you guys come from.
