Sorry but what are you talking about. They settled with Michael's ex-manager DeMann about commissions. They DID NOT settle with Wade. Are you even reading people? Geez.
and their first attempt was and still is getting the claims dismissed. I don't get why anyone is fixated on settlement. This is a case of creating a fantasy and then getting scared of your fantasies.

Completely agree. I can understand people not wanting them to, but it hasn't gotten to that point yet and- god willing- may never get to that point. As of this point in time there is no reason to even think that the Estate would go that route.

MJ Justice Project >>You have to understand that I met Michael during his lowest point in his life, I met him then he was facing charges that could have meant that he died in prison. And the charges were very disturbing. Being charged with child molestation is worse than being charged with murder. It's just a horrible, horrible allegation. (…So I met Michael in his darkest hour and Michael was very suspicious of many people who had crossed his path.
He felt people were after his catalogue, he felt media wanted to make a fortune and watching him to be destroyed and brought to prison. He was suspicious of many people who crossed his path – I don't wanna give a bunch of names – but the names were very numerous. He didn't know who to trust, who to turn to, who was behind this. He was very worried that he thought Sony was behind, he thought the effort was to get his catalogue, he had trouble in trusting anyone.
In the middle of the trial he called Susan Yu, my law partner who was so important to this case … we couldn't have acquitted him without her incredible work – and he would call her in the middle of the night, and he would call me in the middle of the night, and he was crying and said, 'you guys are doing so well, please don't let them pay you off'. And I would say, Michael, what are you talking about?
He said, 'I know they gonna offer you millions, because they want me to go down and they see that you are doing a great job, that Susan Yu is doing a great job. And they gonna pay you off.' I said, 'Michael, nobody is paying me a dime, this is not the kind of person I am.' And I got the feeling he was so used to people betraying him, he was so used to hoping that someone was his friend and then suddenly they have their hand out, trying to get a project out of him...or trying to get money out of him. You know, loneliness unfortunately was a major issue of Michael – because with all that fame and talent and fortune and the properties came all that people who were guided by greed and selfishness.
And as I said before, Chris Tucker and Macaulay Culkin I will never forget. These were two young entertainer at the hight of their fame.. and they had people around them telling them 'don't get involved in that trial, don't help Michael Jackson, he's going down, your career is gonna be tarnished...' And they both said to me, separately from each other, 'whenever Michael needs us, we're gonna be there, we don't care what anybody advised us to do.' And I saw Manager, Lawyers, Agents, advising them not to get involved. And they didn't care what they said, they were gonna help Michael, they wanted the truth to come out.
But you know, you only find that when you're in trouble, who your friends really are. And Michael was frustrated about average people who were not there to help him. Liz Taylor was physically ill, she was always supportive but she was physically ill. Stevie Wonder was very supportive, he was ready to run right up. I didn't need him as a witness, because he hadn't been a witness to any of the actual actions involved in the trial as Macaulay Culkin and Chris Tucker had. <<
- Tom Mesereau, June 2014 (Blog Talk Radio)
absolutely. lawsuits have several steps
demurrer - trying to get it dismissed on no legal basis
discovery
summary judgment - trying to get it dismissed on lack of evidence
and finally trial
Estate is still at the demurrer phase, trying to get the case dismissed on being filed too late. Why would they even consider a settlement when they have 2 chances of getting the case dismissed and no decision about either one is done? Why not people use a little logic and common sense on this thread?
Yes, I heard this and it's so sad that Michael was so used to people stabbing him in the back that he was even worried that his own attorney would sell him out for money.
He'll be back on King Jordan Radio for MJ's birthday.
He'll be going head to head with the guy who rang in last time and said he believes Wade and Safechuck, that'll be an interesting discussion!

I remember Tom saying he was preparing for a trial on the last show , I'm not sure how much time he's had to look at the details of Wade's case because of this trial he's dealing with. Pretty sure someone on here had a contact email for him, if it hasn't been done already sending him info about the lawsuit would be good, if he's going to debate someone on it he needs to know as much as possible and he may not have the time to go fishing for all the info.
I know Tom will be respectful, but still, I can't wait for this. And I'm sure he'll do his research on Wade/Safechuck. I don't think he'd enter into something like this without giving the case(s) at least a cursory glance.

I'm all for freedom of speech but Mike Par is a manipulative, deceptive prick who harasses people online and then poses holier than thou, so I could not care less about him being cut off. I really do not see how giving him a platform on MJ's birthday is any better than giving him a platform on Michael's death anniversary. I'm not in favour of fans engaging with haters and giving them the attention and platforms they so crave for (because that's exactly why they do it for - attention), but if that's what Mez wants. I just hope he will be prepared for the manipulative, deceptive, misleading things this guy will say.
Yes, I agree. He also needs to know who he is talking to. It's not just some average guy who happens to believe Wade. It's an obsessed hater, whose life is centered around trashing MJ 24/7. So he needs to know that.
A couple of weeks ago I sent Mez an e-mail through the info@mesereauyu.com e-mail address that is on his website, but I haven't got an answer so I do not know if he reads that e-mail of if he gets the mail sent him through that.
Why is this being held on Michael's birthday? It should be a day to honour the man, not give Mike Par and his group an audience for their hatred. I'm sure King Jordan has informed Tom on who these people are but I wish they had picked another day.
I don't think Jordan really knows who Mike Par is, he seems pretty clueless about MJ.
He was cut off because he said he supported Wade, Jordan didn't know who Mike was, a friend of mine was in a chat with Jordan at the time and explained to him who Mike Par is.
I also disagree on giving that prick a platform on Michael's birthday but at the same time I'd be glad listening to Tom tearing him apart. I don't know if respect or researcher sent info to Jordan already and Tom may change his mind or approach to Parr as soon as he knows who he is.
Mez knows who the guy is- he knows he's a WR supporter and that's all he needs to know, really. If he wants to do further research on the guy, okay. But I would think that's enough to suffice. At least he knows what he's dealing with.
Not sure why everyone is so up in arms over Tom being "prepared" anyway. I can understand wanting to make sure that he knows who he's up against but it almost seems like there's a "fear factor" going on here. Like everyone's afraid Par will hand Tom his ass on a silver platter  Are we forgetting that Tom Mesereau is the guy who successfully defended Michael? And who is now one of the most sought after lawyers in the country- if not the world? Mike Par is just a bug on his windshield.

@waderobsonallys haven't confirmed here say right now and his publicist declined comment
Macaulay doesn't use social media. Seth Green said he doesn't have twitter. I don't believe that shameless bastard, we know he's full of shit but if Mac ever betrays Michael, I'd lose my mind. I want to believe he would never do such vile act.
