From their statement "gives fans a chance to get creative with Michael’s original concept for the album artwork. (You’ll see when you get it!) "

I'm assuming they mean the chalkboard + chalk was Michael's original concept for the album artwork.

perhaps some but not many. Thriller is the only album many college kids only knows.

Perhaps it was MJ's original idea, and perhaps it made sense with an LP-sized 'chalkboard'. But I'm guessing MJ was talked out of it because of the chalk dust problem....not great for the audio quality of an LP. MJ wasn't right regarding his initial choice of the album cover for 'Bad' either. (IMHO)

Wow. Well if it was them, they did a fantastic job. It was a good commercial, looked very professional.

I thought it was them. I'm not sure. But it's definitely fanmade in my opinion.

But it sounded fanmade. At least for me. Can you re-post it. Didn't see it for awhile.

But did the Estate request a takedown? Or did Beat's make that up?

I can't find the video, I was looking for it.

I can't find it either. It is possible that Estate requested a takedown. Probably because of false advertising. It's also possible that Beat's made that up.

They said they don't have any concert in releasable quality. And film is releasable quality.

I'm sure they have many concerts in releasable quality. Like the Dirty Diana from Bad Tour they have officially on Youtube.

Can't wait to see the Off the Wall documentary! I hope it's good as Bad 25.

I have a copy of it. Ill try to upload it somewhere

It's more likely to be the latter then. There's plenty of fanmade commercials online that the Estate don't issue takedowns for.

I still think it was genuine, however.

That was also a video that used to air in US instead of the real video. That's why they have it.

It is jumbotron video from the concert. I'm sure they have most of them. They should release some Off the Wall era concert too.

What do u think it should've been?
Probably the cover that we got. The one in black leather rather than lace on his face.
By the way, in your rant earlier did you intentionally write 'heir to the throne' as 'air to the thrown'? I had no idea what you were saying until I read it out loud. Pretty funny.

I'm disappointed in certain things. Not Spikes doc except for including Legend and Weeknd (another flash in the pan wannabe riding Michael's coat tails)
I'm disappointed in the distribution. It's on Showtime and that's pay cable. Reminiscent of the Bad Tour series on Showtime that I would have missed, had NBC not picked it up.

And selling it WITH the cd is disappointing. I already have 4 copies of the album and I can't just buy it again. I can't buy Bad25 doc and now this. :(
I wish they would do a release of all the unreleased songs that weren't on proper albums. Even when Michael was here they put demos and unreleased sings on collections of songs I already have.
I think fans with luxury money probably own high grade computers and have downloaded the stuff I want them to release.

And I'm very sad about no Triumph tour release too. I'd really like that and Victory before I die. Not sure if it's Quincy or Jacksons holding them up but none of us are getting any younger.

Like they did with that iTunes release when they released everything already preowned already

Go check out 2000watts for that otw 35th video for download

Thanks! Definitely fanmade in my opinion. Probably by MJ Beat's like I always thought so. Few things: it can't be Off The Wall 35! It would have to be Off The Wall 37 and that doesn't make any sense. The video itself looks very professional but the writings gave it away for me: "now with rare and unreleased demos" & "plus re-imagined tracks by some of today's hottest artists". Clearly fanmade wishful thinking. I'd say Estate saw that and asked it to be removed because of false advertising and misleading of people and fans. Probably because of that video fans expected much more material.

I think that myself. They should hire nick to do all the remixes. Im listenin to his dont stop til you get enough mix & omfg! Idk if he has alot of multis or what but man it sounds so good. Should be on this rerelease!

^ This!

Where does it say Off the Wall 35? Am I missing something? It just says Off the Wall 2015 at the end? I find it odd to consider the inclusion of rare and unreleased demos as 'wishful thinking'. Surely the likes of that is the least we'd expect from such a release - the Estate even issued a disclaimer excusing their absence in the press release! And the Estate's previous 'anniversary' release included that so it's not a stretch to expect the same parameters here. A completely restored, blu-ray, unseen Triumph tour concert would be wishful thinking, not demos. The computer generated graphics would surely take some time and considerable effort to create as well.

Again, if it's fanmade it is fantastic work. However we should move on...

I usually don't like and don't care for fanmade remixes, but his remixes are really good (not for official release, of course). But that is probably because he's always using unreleased vocals. And leaking of that stuff, even in this remixed form is on the border of illegal and wrong. I'm wondering how he acquired all those multitracks..
