There was only 1 MJ impersonator that I had ever like and that was E'Casanova. But that was back when we still had him. But now ever since what happen to Michael. I hate all MJ impersonators. It just really upsets me knowing that is all we have now.:( :boohoo

I have mixed feelings about them; if the impersonator is good I can enjoy the performance, however, it makes me very sad to know that's the closest thing I can have of a Michael concert...........

I don't know why people have to be so hateful towards impersonators. They're doing something they love and they just happen to perform like a celebrity. It's not harmful or damaging to their legacies. And some people cannot afford to see the real thing or weren't able to see the real thing,so impersonators are the next best thing,IMO. I personally am biased because I am an impersonator/tribute artist/dance-a-like,but my opinion still stands.

I don't feel that's even close though.

Impersonators can never be the guy they're impersonating. In my opinion they should be a whole another artist.

Of course it's not the same, yet I like the feeling of being surrounded by other fans who are just as passionate and we can sing along during the performance. Maybe, more than a concert, I see it as an MJ party celebration. Of course, this is only my opinion though.

I don't like them. I would never go to see an impersonator perform. I'm ok with them if they just dress like Michael but they shouldn't use make up and wigs to look like him. Some even use plastic surgery. That is just creepy.

You're literally wasting this entire thread away by discrediting other people's opinions and saying that your opinion is the right opinion.

And you're just saying this because you're an impersonator.

to me it's all dependant on how far and/or how delusional some impersonators are..

1. You have relise how good (or lack there of) you are... lol
2. Some people tend to have a hard time distiguishing where the job ends and life begins.. a fine line between dedication performance and what Id consider idol worship from a physcological perspective not religious..

And you're just saying this because you're an impersonator.

Not even in the slightest am I saying that because I'm an impersonator. I'm saying what I'm saying because you're being rude and discrediting people's opinions and saying that your opinion is fact and everyone else that disagrees with what you're saying is wrong. Stop saying that your opinion is the gospel truth when it isn't.

I'm not doing that.

I don't have a problem with it. The old saying "imitation is the highest form of flattery" seems valid here. I don't think mj had a problem with it either. I will say it depends how far some impersonators go.

That's true although not just immitating. Reinventing is the key.

Only if they are respectful to Michael, but I hate when they impersonate him the wrong way.

Impersonating his dance moves and his fashion style is awesome. But impersonating him through makeup, lipstick, and a wig? No thanks.

I feel exactly the same. It makes me sad that this is all we have but I love the celebration feel of seeing a good tribute artist or band. I am seeing Navi and Jennifer Batten this summer purely so I can be around other fans and celebrate Michael. When I went to see Thriller Live it just felt like a huge Michael party it was great. I have been fortunate enough to see Michael live, twice in my lifetime and know that nothing could ever replicate that experience.

^ that is something I wonder.. for those who actually shared the stage with Michael than work with an impersonator! I just think they must feel so.. so.. IDK the words I'm looking for. Unfulfilled? I mean what more of a way to be reminded what Michael had that no one else does...
