Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

It seems that it was '1066'* for Reed, when he met French journalists and fans for a TV interview about Leaving Neverland last night. Olivier Cachin and 'Hector Barjot' (a fan who makes Youtube videos about his collection) spoke well for MJ.

A French fan has started to translate sections with subtitles and put them on twitter. Here is a link - there is more, and more is promised later...
(In 1066 the French invaded and beat the English in battle on home territory).

Oh no, Bruce was there that day too??

Gosh, I really didn't want to think he was off with Oprah on this crusade.

It's probably impossible to give a clear answer to, but can we expect any bad news for the three as well with the lawsuit against HBO? Or will that mostly end up with HBO having to pay the estate and that's it? This lawsuit has nothing to do with the appeal does it?

It should create 'bad publicity' for Reed and his film, if the case is reported by the media. The Estate have included all the reasons why Robson and Safechuck lost their claims in court, including the lies told.

James father died in the same year they start filming LN.
Thats the reason why he is not in it.
When the father bought the family the most/important income they whould have anouther motive for being part of this mocementery and making money out of it!

Oh wait, wtf. That's Springsteen yeah.

At least he hasn't said a thing, so I give him that. But I can't deny that I'm very disappointed that he's in that group of people. Doesn't necessarily mean he's in on it, unless he starts talking crap soon now too.

Geffen is quite powerful and isn't Bruce's label under him?

The same thing with Brett claimed MJFacts in the comment sections on their webside weeks ago!

I have no doubts that there is a connection between this page Wade/James and LN.

I think they use this side now again to support their accusations.

I have a great deal of respect for Springsteen so to see him on this side of things would be pretty bad for me.

I did a quick search actually and came across a thread on a Springsteen forum from early 2010 asking why Bruce hadn't spoken about Michael or said anything about him whilst on tour. The responses are 80% vitriolic in their anti-Jackson stance, it's clear some of them just consider him a complete non-entity. I mean, it's almost like they were asking the question today and not 9 years ago. It got me thinking about how we talk about other artists here...I feel like on the whole we speak respectfully about them. It's disappointing to see such hatred from fans of other great artists. I guess that's the internet.

I've never heard or read anything from Bruce being negative toward MJ. I think he's signed with Columbia.

The photos of Oprah, Geffen, Paul and bruce Springsteen are not recent. These are old photos taken way before this mockumentary. On the day Okrah celebrated her birthday with Geffen neither Paul nor Bruce was with them. BTW, Paul did not say MJ was guilty, a so called journalist told him MJ had abused boys as if it were proven now and whether he heard about that, Paul replied that he did not know and that's sad and he would understand why people would not want to listen to him if they discovered this aspect of his personality. Paul did not know MJ that much so it is understandable he would not rush to his defence especially given his closeness with Geffen.

Well that is comforting at least.

They don't consider him a non-entity although they would love everyone to think so. They consider him a great threat to their hero. The same goes with Prince, Beyonce, David Bowie ...etc fans. MJ was on another level and many of them don't accept that and want to see his legacy destroyed. Some people are that stupid we cannot change them.

I like Bruce so much but seriously if anyone produced a movie on his life how much of a success it would be outside the US?! We know the answer and they too know it. That's why they will continue to be pressed about MJ and his phenomenal success and appeal.

So basically the media twisting words again.

He basically says he would understand people that wouldn't listen to the music anymore IF they were to discover this aspect of his personality.

While I read "I understand people that don't want to listen to the music anymore. There's a side to him people don't know."

WORLD of difference. So he absolutely 100% never said it like that?

But don't you think Prince fans, on the whole, respect Bruce Springsteen and vice versa? I know your point is that Michael Jackson was on another level to all of them - and it's worth remembering these artists may be what Joe Vogel described as "traditionally white hetero-normative rock heroes" - but I still find it disappointing.

And Bruce tours worldwide and fills stadiums to do this day. I think he'd had as many UK number one albums as Michael too, possibly more?

Same here. I actually went to his show in Germany in 2009. I'm not a fan but my brother is, hardcore fan to the bone and I went to the show with him and a friend of his. I've always thought of Bruce as a real good dude and certainly not the backstabbing kind. Good to know he isn't. I did a Google search just now and the only thing I found was him talking about how he went to the Jacksons show and meeting Michael and really liking him as a person.

I just wanted to be sure he hadn't said anything about him since this filth aired. And I hope if a interviewer does ask him about it that we won't hear a typical MeToo answer.

Prince is not glorified. He is no threat. MJ is a threat. On other forums most of the overzealous haters of MJ are the hardcore fans of other singers.

Would you happen to have a link to that article of that interview with Paul? Because a search for Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson only gets me old news.

People love to say ''If Michael was just an average guy living down the street from you, he would have been thrown in prison'' - If Michael was just an average guy then he would have never been accused of something like this, because nobody would have had nothing to gain from him. And if he was just an average guy his upbringing would have been a lot different also.

You Remember that I told you weeks ago when was the last time I have visited MJFacts that they have potrait there nearly every boy (also peole like Mc, Brett, Frank Aron, Emanual etc) in MJs life as a victim with an article for everyone of them?

Now they seamed to have change the webside to make it look more credible for new visitors and semes to delate the articles about the childfriends who defended MJ actually after LN aired at sundace.
Interesting move from them!
Maybe Aron C. Or other 'victims' ar behind that changing or they decided to do it by themself..

Sadly I made no screenshots how the page looked like weeks ago and from the articles.

Interesting that the article about Omar Bhatti who didn't defend MJ after LN which portrait him as MJs victim is still there.

All this talk about banning Michael's music, and yet Roman Polanski is still allowed to make movies, and his films are still available to watch on Netflix.

That! And what to think of the many movies with Weinstein's name on it? Or movies with Kevin Spacey? Woodie Allen? It's ridiculous.

just putting Paul, Oprah and David together.. Showing where the loyalty is! I changed the wording a bit..
