The small moments you love

I love the moment in the Remember The Time short film, where MJ gets away from the guards and they check in the basket and he's not there, I love MJ's reaction. Mike just brushes himself off and has a little smirk to himself. It's about 4.58 in the full 9 minute video
 
Not a small moment but an entire (and beyond perfection) performance at 1995 VMA Awards in this 4K version, especially from 6.35.... Can never get enough

 
I watched This Is It with my girlfriend's nephew yesterday, first time I've not seen that film in years.
I forgot how much I adore the performance of Human Nature, but expecially that very last note at the end (whyy) is absolutely divine. I got goosebumps rewatching it yesterday

That performance was great and indeed, those vocals were fantastic. Reading your post the ad-libs he does at the end of MITM in TII immediately came to mind too. The performance of the song fizzles out a bit (it was of course just a rehearsal), but those high notes he hits always give me goosebumps as well, and also make me feel incredibly sad.
 
His vocals on HN during the TII rehearsals were great. I think it's my favourite version of that song tbh.

I'll have to go back watch MITM now haha I can't remember the performance but I remember it being from towards the end of the song wasn't it? Like from the choir line "Change"

@smoothgangsta yeah mate, it's right up there for me with my favourite performance, which was Yokohama. The This Is It version is so special to me, because it sounds fresh and like a reimagining of the song, especially at the beginning of the song
 
I love that he did the laugh at the start of Off The Wall on the 87 leg of the Bad tour. It never fails to make me smile.

Mike was having so much fun on stage and it was at joy to watch
 
Dangerous tour Copenhagen - when he cuts his finger during Jam and uses dance moves during WBSS to indicate that stage needs to be cleaned, and in HN getting finger taped after that. (sorry about the finger though :(

 
1 - 8 min version of BOTDF - when he walks through the beaded curtain
2 - Jam - when Michael catches the ball and then looks upwards
3 - Jam - the way Michael says 'illusion' when he's trying to teach Michael Jordan how to moonwalk

Yes!! His walk. All good dancers carry themselves well but Michael takes it to a whole other level. I want to say 'poetry in motion' but that's such a cliche (albeit, an accurate one). He floats? He glides? I don't know how to capture what it is he's doing. I just know it's a beautiful thing to behold.

I love the part, around 1.28 of the full version of Smooth Criminal, were Mike takes the woman's hand off his chest while maintaining eye contact. Such a bad ass moment

I could do a moments I love just in the Smooth Criminal short film, its absolute perfection

With the proviso that I only watch the short 4 minute version, yes, I second this. I'll offer up the moment when he catches the billiard ball. It doesn't even matter that it presumably was fixed so that he'd be able to catch it. Don't care. He just does it with such panache and grace and casual coolness. Love it.

I laugh at the part after he crushes the billiard ball and poofs it in the dude's face gets me every time lol :ROFLMAO:

I'm going to be honest, the only way I can talk about the Smooth Criminal video and what it does to me belongs in the manhood thread, not this one. So I won't add anything here except to say that entire video is filled, back to back, with little moments so intensely perfect, I don't know that I could ever talk about them with anyone without seeming like an absolute psychopath lol.

I'll save it for the book I'll someday write about Michael and which will just confirm to the world how absolutely off-the-rocker some of Michael's fans really are (me...I'm talking about me lol)

This makes me so happy. I still have sooo much left to discover!! I need to remember this whenever I get sad. I have never heard this song before, but it's fantastic!

I adore this song but, ngl, I don't spend enough time with it. Back in the day it would come on the radio quite a lot which always made me happy. Can't tell you how much I love, love, LOVE this song. But I need to get my act together and give it more love, more time.

This one and Skywriter - the sound of 1973. :D
