The 'Those EYES' Thread

Deer always have dark brown eyes and they have a liquid melting quality and a depth to them that is captivating. They are mysterious, beautiful but also have a vulnerable quality to them. They make us feel emotional and very protective. Their eyes are rather large in proportion to the size of their face. The eyes are gentle and somewhat wistful.

Horses have large dark eyes but I wouldn't say any of this applies to them. Cows have beautiful eyes but I think most of us would struggle to feel poetic about the eyes of cows, lol.

Everything I just said about the eyes of deer I would also say about Michael's eyes except his eyes are even more beautiful. Sexy, of course, but haunting and mysterious. Open and revealing and yet somehow unknowable. And, again, back to the vulnerability. I think that's where the baby deer thing is coming from.

Dunno if you noticed. I really like Michael's eyes.

These eyes definitely have it.

Replying to this (as well as the photos you just bumped).... his eyes are so deep and captivating. They hold so much emotion too. They are just absolutely gorgeous. I designed a poster of some of my favorite Michael lyrics and used all sorts of images in it that remind me in some way of Michael, or the music. Anyway, as the centerpiece I have Michael's eyes from the cover of the Dangerous album. It is hanging in my office at school and I just love looking up at his big, beautiful eyes all the time lol.

I have managed to get myself into a bit of a state, lol.

That sounds really cool. The poster. I was gonna try to do a version of that, just a page in a journal but felt ... helpless. I never know where to start with stuff like that.

The other version was going to use words rather than images but I have too many of those, lol. I have several folders of stuff that remind me of him or link into his work in some way or whatever. I have some fab stuff but just way too much.

"I have managed to get myself into a bit of a state" -- yeah... this is me on a daily basis while on this site haha

Well, I actually designed it using the website Canva and then ordered a print of it. It was a lot of fun. I made it a couple months ago, so I'm not even sure these are my favorite quotes anymore haha. Also I have so many more I love now, so it's mostly just a collage of things I feel strongly about when it comes to Michael. The biggest, most important part, is of course is eyes. I actually think I'll design another one soon. You know, once I've graded all my student papers and actually caught up with the job I get paid to do... haha

I would love to see how other people "honor" Michael in their own way.

Look at us...always derailing these threads haha

Whoa! Girl, you are so getting overheated, lol. This is Beat It. :ROFLMAO:

I don't think we needed proof of your ability to get overheated at warp speed but I find this latest demonstration to be entirely entertaining. Love it.
LMAO I swear to God I knew that, I have watched it 10,000 times (and I maintain he is so sexy in it haha). My excitement got the best of me, as it always does. I'm going to go away now :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Nope, haven't finished. Cos forgot to say that deer have eyes that are beautifully shaped. As does Michael. It's not just a case of wanting to gaze into his eyes - or fall into them or drown in them or get lost in them - it's the wanting to look *at* them. Because they have such a lovely shape.

His eyes are furnished with ... everything. ❤️

Can I just say how much I *love* the way you put that?!
You certainly can. Just made the mistake of jumping onto Manhood thread. There was method in my madness, honest. I had some images I needed to grab. Oh my lord, the image MM90 just dropped. That woman is going to be the death of me. Anyway, popped over here for some therapy to try to mitigate damage already done (too late, I'm sure). Michael is often the therapy for Michael, ifyswim. So I thought, 'Michael's eyes, that'll help'.

I don't know where to put myself. :D

Again, can’t sleep, scrolling Twitter and BOOM.

Completely stunning. I may have gasped. His eyes just soar. They are so big and beautiful and pure. Also, who can even believe this is a man in his mid-30s? He looks so young and adorable.
He is just timeless, the way he looks into the soul 🥰

Oh girl I literally feel that 😲
But this….

And there it is. Michael as a baby deer. Beautiful, gentle eyes asking for love, protection, understanding, adoration, wonder, awe ...

Yes, Michael, you can have it all.

(P.S. Other interpretations of this photo are available. :D )

the way he looks into the soul 🥰
That's it. That is IT. You've nailed it. It's the invitation to look into his soul just as he looks into yours. It is that two-way thing. I think that is part of where the compelling aspect of all this comes from. I'm sure there's more to it but I think that is the key thing that is going on here. Because it goes beyond beautiful eyes. Lots of people have beautiful eyes but they are not necessarily compelling in this way. There isn't necessarily much depth. With Michael it's all about the depth, it's all about falling into some sort of journey into his eyes, into his soul and then somehow back into your own soul.

As a side note, I wonder how much of this is how his eyes actually look vs. the aura he was said to have. His eyes were incredibly beautiful and deep, but I often wonder how much more we would feel if we were to meet him in person.
Have you listened to Talitha Linehan's interviews? There's a few out there.

I think this is an interesting point because looking at photos of Michael and particularly looking at his eyes there seems to be an awful lot going on. We are not in his presence but the effect he has on us is profound. It isn't simply a case of saying, 'oh, there's a gorgeous guy with lovely eyes'. It's way more than that. Obviously, Michael can communicate everything through his art but he can also do it through a mere photo. So what does that suggest about how powerful his aura must have been in person? A successful performing artist like Michael has loads of charisma. That's a given. But this goes way beyond charisma, I think.

I mean, if I met Michael I'd just want to talk about his archives. Obvs.
