Thier version of unreleased will be the same as xscape. We had already had those songs. I'm sure the general public doesn't know hot street, she's trouble, nite line, or scared of the moon. I'm hoping they pull out magic like for bad25. Up until that point we didn't know about abortion papers, I'm so Blue, free, or Don't be messing round. Nobody ever even mentioned them that I ever saw. So I'm hoping for the best. As far as the 4k shorts being released...im sure it'll only be the only 3 from that album. Visions in its entirety should be re-released in 4k! Thriller was technically a thriller tour minus the title track. It's 6months from release, So the brothers have time to negotiate that. If you never seen mj in 4k then you won't understand why it's so important to many. Watching thriller was like they made it in 2017. Only thing I didn't like was the dance mix. It'll definitely throw you off. It's like a CD skip or something. I do recall beat it looking great on the moonwalker blu ray with the jacket being red instead of orange lol

We don't have them all in HQ. In addition, I think they'll mix and master the unreleased tracks properly as the did with Bad25.
 
It does matter. Contrarily to the songs on Bad 25, the original versions on Xscape haven't received the same treatment. I'd rather have something like Bad25 (even if it'll be heavily compressed) than shitty engineered stuff like the original version of SWLM.
 
Yeah, the B25 tracks are overly compressed which sucks and is (imo) a big problem, they were at least mixed properly though, the same cannot be said for Xscape, the demos on there sounded like utter trash top to bottom.
 
If there is not any new material (including leaked material), I hope that there is an audio of a song that has leaked with much clearer quality. Some of the leaks from that era don't have the best sound quality..
 
I think we'll see songs that were leaked online, which I'm fine with. They'll be digitally remastered so that will be a plus from the original leaked ones from years past that don't sound too good.

I can see a couple songs or 3 or 4 that we've never heard before making the final cut too. I just hope we don't get any remixes. I think that is one of the negatives from Bad25 everyone can agree on. They could have put so much more on there in place of those remixes (and even the French & Spanish versions of IJCSLY).

EDIT- Even though I personally don't believe For All Time was a Thriller track, if they decide to put it back on this release, I hope the estate does something with this song, as far as a music video and pushing it on radio. I've always loved this track, and to this day still believe it was a hit song waiting to be released. A tribute video of Michael, or even something like they let us fans do with Behind The Mask where we can submit our own videos, I would love to see. I would love it if by some God given miracle, there happens to be footage of him in the studio recording this. (doubtfull, but again 1 can only wish)

The Estate put remixes in each one of their projects, I doubt this time they'd change. I'm betting that we'll get a remix featuring TheWeeknd since there were lots of teasing last year and he's full on making 80's style music, it's the perfect opportunity for him to join in on a collaboration.
 
This is a wild prediction. I like The Weeknd, but I can’t see how a Beat It remix would sound like with The Weekend as his voice probably won’t be powerful enough.
 
I'm fine with something involving the Weeknd, so long as it's done right..... IE Love Never Felt So Good with Justin Timberlake.

It would sound about as good as the beat it Fergi remix on T25
 
I said this is a bigger post on the thread but “I do have a feeling we’re gonna get the original Behind The Mask and The Toy (Best Of Joy). The demos of The Girl Is Mine, Billie Jean, Beat It, Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’, 2 or 3 leaked tracks (Nightline, Trouble, Sunset Driver) and maybe 2 songs we never heard. If Rod Temperton’s Estate and Quincy don’t give clarence or come to terms with the estate their songs may not be included…
 
Niteline would be my favorite of the unreleased tracks I've heard. Would be nice to have Got The Hots without needing to shell out for the rare japanese Thriller 25 Deluxe.
 
Matt Forger once spoke of a “Beat It” demo that is apparently a drum machine and synths. I’d love to hear that one!

I also hope they give us some of the work tape recordings of Michael writing “The Girl Is Mine,” some of which was played in the 1993 deposition. One of my biggest frustrations with Michael was his refusal to elaborate on his songwriting process, and I feel like tapes like this would give some wonderful insight.
 
I'm super interested in alternate/early versions of already released songs so it would be cool if we got some stuff like that that we have never heard. The set only being one disc is unfortunate as there's so much stuff like that, that they could include and not even use up anything they may want to use later. Obviously I'd want anything unheard they can give us but I'm being realistic here lol.

Considering they probably will release thriller 50 and so on in the future I don’t expect them to throw all the eggs in the basket. For now I would be happy to have already leaked tracks in the highest quality like nite line, got the hots and some alternate takes and demos

You are probably be right but that would be lame. We have waited along time for something new. I’m sure we will get the leaks but hopefully something unheard. I’m not buying anything I already have.

As much as I would like more unreleased tracks, this would actually be a good tracklist. On top of that they should release different mixes/ alternate vocal takes of songs.
 
Did we forget about Lovely Way, wasn't that recorded for Thriller?

It was made for Off The Wall or Triumph, no? If so, it's not getting released.

Edit: Apparently Michael wrote the song as a successor to Baby Be Mine in 1983, thus making it a Bad outtake.

Vocals in the snippet definitely sound like they're from the 80's to me but hard to tell completely from such a short snippet.

I heard it was made in 1983 and was left out of Bad because Michael thought it didn't match up with Bad's style, but I couldn't find a source. It most likely doesn't come from Thriller though.
 
I would love if something like this was released as an official updated single. this was made five years ago and it still feels current. I can hear it on the radio today. they’ve focused on the best part of the song. I can’t get it out of my head 💜 I think michael’s vocal should be turned up a little though.

Hey I noticed the name Dick Clark (i don’t know him, i’m not from the US) in your signature so I googled some pictures of him with MJ. This guy seemed to be really friendly and kind towards Michael, you can tell in their pictures together he really likes and admires Michael. There are pictures from the J5 days up until very late in Michael’s career.
I also saw his comment on MJ’s passing, that was cool to say of him.

I’m not American either. I’m from the uk.

yes, dick Clark always spoke positively about Michael. he allowed ‘can you feel it’ a piece that Michael himself conceptualised, to be shown on American bandstand, which was unheard of at the time. one reason was because they didn’t normally show clips (the term ‘music video’ was common yet), and because of the groundbreaking special effects.

dick Clark appeared in two of the documentaries that Michael produced about himself. if I’m not mistaken, one of michael’s last televised performances was on the anniversary of American bandstand.
