Celebrities Supporting Michael

Apparently Maxwell will be performing "The Lady in My Life" on the Billboard Music Awards tomorrow night in honor of the 40th anniversary of Thriller.

What do people think of this? Also, I'll add, I have no idea who Maxwell is, or half of the people mentioned who will be performing otherwise 🤷‍♀️
I have never heard of Maxwell but this is really exciting. Firstly, it brings positive attention to Michael, which hasn't happen a whole lot in recent years after the Leaving Neverland disaster. Secondly, it will bring light to a gem of a song that most people haven't heard of. And finally, this means that Thriller 40 is likely happening.

Great song choice. I absolutely LOVE this song. This is a favorite song on R&B stations. Maxwell is a smooth and sensual singer and the right choice to sing Lady In My Life. If this song had been released, it would easily have been #1 on several charts. I hope this performance means that the Estate will release the song with the original lyrics and the awesome adlibs at the end. 🔥🔥

Oh this is so cool! They should also jam on Jam ;)
PS: need to get in Twitter!
Sometimes it's great! But sometimes it's really annoying. For example, right now there is this big conversation circulating on Twitter debating Chris Brown vs. Michael. Some foolish person (I can't remember who, but someone marginally famous) said that Chris Brown is wayyyyy more talented than Michael Jackson. Of course this has mostly been hit with backlash. But I find anytime I see any tweets that say anything trying to compare today's artists to Michael or, God forbid, say they are better than Michael I get furious lol.

Cross-posting this from the favorite video of the day thread...

Snoop uploaded to Instagram a video compilation of MJ's short films and swapped his face over them. It's sort of adorable lol. Side note, he's been posting about MJ a lot recently in his stories (according to fans on Twitter). He's always been a big fan :)

Here's the link (though you have to have an Instagram account I think): https://www.instagram.com/tv/CfvRidBlvfa/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

This is a rare behind the scenes shot from SMOOTH CRIMINAL. Our rehearsals were incredible. I devote an entire chapter of my book to the creation of this short film with Mike and an army of talented dancers.

Ne-Yo talks about Michael Jackson. We miss you King
Thank you so much for sharing this! what a fantastic discussion. I would love to heard more about their conversations. Also, this really made me respect Ne-yo, who I know little about. I love that he doesn't want to do anything with those tracks, or have someone else sing on them. You can tell that experience genuinely meant the world to him and he feels a loyalty to Michael. I really admire that. I would love to hear Ne-yo's version, but the fact that he actually said "I don't want to make money off of Mike's name." Wow. So much integrity there. I love it.

I really savor these kinds of stories where Michael is just given all the respect in the world. It gives me chills to listen to how people talk about him and the massive respect he has still, despite the media constantly tearing him down. It's a beautiful thing. I'm so touched by this.

My only slight hesitation with this is we did hear the same thing from will.i.am re the music he worked on with Michael in Ireland. And then, I believe, he did release the tracks on his own album some years later. I haven't checked this out, I don't follow him. But I was so stoked when he always said he wouldn't release the stuff but I think he did, later on.

So I hope Ne-Yo really means it. He sounded genuine. I guess we'll have to see.
