What is the best sounding thriller out as of now? 1st pressing, Sacd, dsd, half speed or the Japanese pressing?

The first SACD has some issues. It's either the 1st US print or the Japanese "mastersound".sacd I think
Lol. Remind me of the dude with the “billboard inside info” last year. What a fraud LOLI have the tracklist but I there is an embargo that forbids me to reveal it. But I will give a hint, all tracks include JB and that is not James Brown…

Still waiting for a The Weeknd duetLol. Remind me of the dude with the “billboard inside info” last year. What a fraud LOL
What do you meanEach copy of Thriller 40 is personalized
Jason Bourne, James Bond and Jack BauerJohnny Bravo, jelly bean, Justin bieber
better add non-singer to songs it's enough with thriller 25 and xscape it doesn't make the release goodStill waiting for a The Weeknd duet
The 2008 remixes are included on the digital only disc are they not? . So I'd assume they won't be releasing anything from that as a single? Who knows though with The Estate lol.If they want to have remix duets on the CD, I can't see how they could not go with Bruno Mars (or The Weeknd even though I don't fancy him). These two are also huge at the moment and even go with the 80s themed music. I'm scratching my head if nothing comes out with one of these. Instead, if true, we get the remixes with Kanye, Will and Fergie re-released
As AlwaysThere mentioned in another thread, Michael never seemed to pick the optimal duet partners, and it seems like The Estate has the same flaws as well.
Justin Timberlake did not fit IMO. Drake!? What were they thinking. Akon makes sense because they actually worked on the song

Maybe it was created without the MJ Estate knowing, but they gave permission, otherwise it wouldn’t have been released.I think the drake song was done without permission from the estate
Drake wouldn’t have been allowed to use the song without clearance from the estate. As dam2040 said, it’s entirely possible it was recorded without their knowledge (maybe an under-the-covers deal with Paul Anka), but it would’ve been blocked if the estate didn’t sign off on it, similar to the Justin Bieber duet.I think the drake song was done without permission from the estate
A piece of synthetic fur would have been more appreciated.Instead of chalk, you get a sticker of a tiger.
The inside of the album case will be made of that fake fur you get in kid's books. So that MJ fans have something stimulating to do whilst reading the liner notes.A piece of synthetic fur would have been more appreciated.![]()

You can see the waveforms for Thriller 40 on iTunes? Waveforms don't tell everything about how an album will sound but if that's the case it's a good sign indeed.I have high hopes for thriller 40 sonically. I preordered the album on itunes and the waveforms on the album itself are gorgeous. They are not brickwalled. I hope the complete package is the same way.

Agree. It’s small things like this that go along way alongside the main release.Michael’s album should be updated to Dolby Atmos, even if it’s only the ‘classic’ ones at first (Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad).
I don’t understand why the Estate isn’t doing that, at least for Thriller, now that they are celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Dolby Atmos would be amazing. A blu-ray and digital release with the album in Atmos, 7.1, 5.1 and Stereo. I gave up on this since they didn't done this until now so I'm doing it myselfMichael’s album should be updated to Dolby Atmos, even if it’s only the ‘classic’ ones at first (Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad).
