Iirc Serban did the surround mix in the mid 2000s that got cancelled cause MJ didn't like it. Could it be that same one?SERBAN GHENEA AND JOHN HANES DID THE DOLBY ATMOS MIXES!? No wonder they sound phenomenal. (For those who don’t know, they’re the most sought-after and renowned mix engineers currently working.) Big ups to the estate/Sony for choosing them.
That was Mick Guzauski, actually! Also a well respected engineer that worked on “Blood on the Dance Floor.” I’d love to hear his mixes.Iirc Serban did the surround mix in the mid 2000s that got cancelled cause MJ didn't like it. Could it be that same one?
During the 2000s MJ really made some weird decisions, taking into account he was a pioneer in new tech.Iirc Serban did the surround mix in the mid 2000s that got cancelled cause MJ didn't like it. Could it be that same one?
Oh, thanks for the info. Serban is indeed a great engineer. That was Mick Guzauski, actually! Also a well respected engineer that worked on “Blood on the Dance Floor.” I’d love to hear his mixes.
How do you know? That's pretty much what Sony wanted to put on T25.
We need to spam his comments on every video...I really see lucifer when i look at that monster!

Yeah, I want to but I'm too invested in Spotify at this point. Already switched from Tidal to Spotify and can't be bothered rebuilding my playlist a second time lol.
Pretty cool little feature. Insignificant stuff like this (alongside Dolby Atmos) makes me wanna hop over to Apple Music.
I did one year ago and never looked back

Into 2002 and in the middle of mixing “Beat It,” Guzauski got another call from Sony. “They put a hold on it,” he reports, “and said, ‘We don’t know if we’re going to finish it.’ They said they’d restart it several times, but the last time was in 2004, when I got a call saying, ‘We want to finish Thriller. What would it cost?’ Two hours later, it came on the news that Michael’s Neverland ranch had been raided for a second time. That’s the last I heard about it.”
I wanna throw up every time I see his balled up paper face!We hope you enjoy the official WBSS (lyric) video. Make sure you watch it in 4K, we make sure to give the best possible quality, in this case, to make you feel you are reading the lyrics for the very first time. No need to thank us.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL THATS A ****** JOKE!??????????
I can (probably) see how their stance is on this. Michael is not from a world of Instagram, FaceBook, TikTok or Tweets...Did the Estate forgot they are dropping an album today? Nothing on social media about it lol.
Somebody a few pages ago suggested that the estate was using this project to test the public reaction to new MJ material.
If so, as dumb of a decision as I think it is, it seems to be a resounding success. T40 is doing great numbers on streaming services, physical copies are sold out (though that may be due to the lackluster distribution), the 4K videos have gotten a lot of attention, and there has been little to no commentary from anti-MJ naysayers. There’s still a public appetite for new MJ material. I just hope the estate takes that fact and does better next year.
