Thriller 40th Anniversary

December is always a top month for album sales. I’m not surprised thriller is holding strong, it’s going to be under a lot of Christmas trees

WTF IS GOING ON WITH THIS DAMM ESTATE!
What is the purpose & the reason for this to get uploaded today. & wasn't this already uploaded....like where is bj 4k...Thriller is still supposed to be in promotion. I cannot wait until someone who cares is in charge.

This isn't anything new, the Estate reuploads songs quite often.

Somebody tell Damien Shields about this latest travesty from the God awful Michael Jackson Estate fiasco.

Yay, another onslaught of complaints about things that ultimately don’t matter 🙄
Even complaining about the complaining is stale. I only care about Michael Jackson Music! That's all that matters Morty!

We need n- *burp* -ew Michael Jackson Music Morty! Rick and Morty Season 8: the search for new King of Pop tunes! We're gonna bid on ebay for "Can't get your weight off me" for 25,000 dollars! Even though you can get them for free from the Sony Servers! And Lord Jackson, don't get me started on that heist mission-

Billie Jean 4K on the 40th Anniversary of it's release, mark my words.
I'm definitely thinking they're gonna do stuff for the various 40th anniversaries next year. Could be wrong but ... it makes sense. T40 was ridiculously lacklustre - I'm being polite, lol - but I'm still hoping they've got some stuff planned for next year.

Y'all are setting yourselves up for disappointment lol. Last year there were a lot of milestones but the Estate did nothing.
Oh, I know! Trust me, I don't even know where this tiny sliver of hopefulness comes from. It's ridiculous! Especially after the total non-event that was the T40 'promotion'. Fortunately, Thriller is doing just fine all by itself. Michael and his art selling itself without much help from MJE.

I think a bit of it is the tiny sliver of hopefulness but some of it is merely a detached interest in seeing what, if anything, they bother to do. Bc if it was me I'd want to do something for all of the upcoming Thriller anniversaries - which is what I was referring to, wasn't thinking about anything to do with any other album. But, anyway, with MJE? Well, they certainly have their own way of doing things. Being polite, again, lol.

Thriller 40 could have been more making of Thriller finally as blu ray and on 2 CD 15 instead of 10 songs

I’m still very curious why “Hot Street” and “Nightline” weren’t included on disc 2. Apparently the new T40 documentary barely acknowledges “Baby Be Mine” or “The Lady in My Life,” which furthers my belief that the MJ and Temperton estates are at odds. But “Nightline” being excluded is very surprising. Perhaps a royalty issue?

They're saving em for the next posthumous album/Thriller 50. I guarantee it.

My question is why wasn't The Girl Is Mine (Solo Demo) included?

I can see “Hot Street” being saved… but “Nightline”? Even then, the estate has made it clear that they have no issues reissuing previously released tracks, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t give us the demo/s here.

I adore “The Girl Is Mine (Solo Demo)” and have no idea why it was excluded. One of the few tracks where Quincy’s influence actively worsened the song.

"Dreams Away" (remaster of the song through isolating and merging the instruments of the leak).
Dear Beano Wild,
Would you please elaborate a bit on the process through which you put the original leaked audio (which software did you use to isolate the tracks, what manual tweaks were necessary, etc. ) before maybe cleaning them (somebody mentioned audible heartbeats in the source files) and re-mixing them together to obtain your final result ? Would be very very interesting to me ! (I assume you had the same treatment done on the other song “Chicago 1945”)
Thanks !

I think it's a different recording

i took both recordings (he played it twice in the seminar) and what i did was i separated each of them into stems of sort using AI (basically i was left with 2 drum tracks, 2 vocal tracks, 2 bass tracks and 2 tracks with everything else).
after this, i then took for example, the isolated vocals of the 1st and 2nd recording, then balanced them to create a stereo sound to it. i did this for all the tracks that i had on me to make the best sounding mixes i could.

after this, i went through each of the tracks to remove any imperfections, like coughing or rustling by listening to both versions of the track, to try and get the cleanest version of the song there can be. i then did my own stuff with balancing every track differently to make it sound as good as possible.

i dont think this will be done like this again as having 2 different recordings of the same song with both Chicago 1945 and Dreams Away is insane.

hell, in my version of chicago in the intro you can hear the snapping of a camera, i never heard it until i did my version.
