Let's end the confusion about MJ's unreleased tracks here

Pretty sure pyramid girl is just something fans made up

I just don't consider a random article mentioning it once as proof that Liberian Girl existed with that title. I guess we will see if a demo called that ever pops up.
Totally in agreement with you. MJ was already mentioning the Liberian Girl title as early as 1983.
Two possibilities come to mind. Either the author of the article misremembered the song title or there's a totally different song called PG with no connection to LG at all.

More like the former because these reporters are stupid old croods.

The one posted above your comment was a fan site. There was a list posted on the former official Darkchild website, but I don’t recall offhand what titles matched between the two (though it’s worth noting that none of them included GYWOOM, which makes me question their legitimacy).
Another reason to believe why it might be fake is because neither Fred or Rodney remembered working on Chicago 1945.

Listening sessions are usually done months in advance and Pyramid Girl could exist….Michael could’ve went back and revised it

Yeah, I don't think it's been mentioned anywhere other than this article, so I do not think it's a legitimate title.
It is not just this news article (posted by @Fuzball) about 'Pyramid Girl' actually being the 'Liberian Girl' song.

'Pyramid Girl' was the working title of 'Liberian Girl', as confirmed also by several other sources.

For example:

"…'Liberian Girl' came out of the woodwork in 1986, under the working title 'Pyramid Girl'…" ('Michael Jackson: All The Songs: The Story Behind Every Track' book by François Allard and Richard Lecocq)

Even Adrian Grant confirms it in the March 1987 news section of his book:

"…The ['BAD'] album is said to include tracks titled 'Bad' and 'Pyramid Girl', later confirmed to be 'Liberian Girl'…" ('Michael Jackson: The Visual Documentary' book)

Or, the 'For The Record' book (by Craig Halstead and Chris Cadman), which again confirms that.

The For The Record book is fairly dated, at this point.

Not to mention that "Liberian Girl" was cited by MJ as early as 1983. Wouldn't make much sense for him to revert back to this "working title" in 1986.

There were 2 albums that were supposed to be released in 1983......one of them was another Michael turned in no later than April and the Victory album but Victory was pushed back to 1984
This is news to me!

I know Mike was planning on his follow up to Thriller before Victory but I didn't realise an album was scheduled..thank God Thriller was an astronomical success.

I'm so glad Mike waited and crafted a phenomenal follow up to Thriller, rather than copping out and releasing a concept album

Did MJ work on songs with Kanye West ?
On Thriller 25, the remix are made by Akon and will.i.am, and MJ work with them on new songs. But with Kanye West ?

In The Valley is a real title from the Mexico Deposition.

And I assume you meant Tyrese ? No correlation, as far as I'm aware. All that is publicly known is the title.
Yes tyrese they said 2000 watts discovered during working on song in the valley

honestly, why are there so many known unreleased songs from every era except Off the Wall? there are some but not as many
I've been thinking about this since the Estate gave the background of Sunset Driver, we got NO outtakes from that era and it's odd (WALTG is from before OTW and Be Not Always wasn't recorded during OTW). We got outtakes from every era including from after Invincible's release but nothing from OTW. I'm sure that the songs might not be anything special but I'm still interested in hearing them, especially Going To Rio and the demo of Little Susie.

Written and recorded in 1976.

Recognized at the trial of Mexico 93.

The Brazilian singer Tom Jobin, who worked with Quincy Jones acknowledged having listened to the demo and said he had arrangements of Brazilian music.

In 2016, Carole says she doesn't know anything about the song.

Probably due to him being busy with touring with his brothers as well as filming The Wiz; yet he had still managed to write (and most likely also demoed) a dozen songs.
