Thriller 40th Anniversary

Hmm. I don't really know what to think about this.

Do they still promote T40 or is this just random...

I really hope I get to see the doc one day.

Either way what has happened to this "docu" which was probably just a tv doc promoed as something " bigger " for a while . It will not be that interesting, Thriller is over 40 yrs old now. Most MJ fans know how big Thriller was . Yes it was big but a lot of it was down to lucky timing. OTW imo was much better , I liked Dangerous personally the best of the albums . Though people always go where the money is .

Yet some people try to see a reason to have faith in B****a. Oh well.
Just because you say that I'm going to continue to have faith just to spite you. At the end of the day I just don't want peace, I want problems, always.

All I wanted at age 24 was to spend my life with my head wedged into a bass amp.
And I'm pretty sure my mom is the age he would've been a few years ago (but let's not think too long)

Imagine hanging with a guy the age of your parents lol. But he's basically the coolest man on Earth.

Oh sweet Me oh my. Why would I have never known that??
Bc it's way more interesting to think about the lyrics of Price of Fame. Or it is if you are me and you only just listened to the song for the first time yesterday.

Sorry! I am seriously obsessed with the lyrics, atm. I cannot stop thinking about them. My brain is in a right tizz!

But it's Thriller 40!

But it's Thriller 40!
This is very true and this means that I am way off-topic, lol. :ROFLMAO:

Being serious for a moment, T40 did not hold my interest for very long. A few days, IIRC. I do love WDYK and CGOOTR but haven't listened to them since November last year. Soon after T40 dropped I listened to C1945 and Dream Away and that was it, I was lost. C1945 I listened to once - oh, and GOAL, also - but DA I listened to a few times and it completely knocked T40 out of the picture. I just haven't bothered with it since.

Recently I listened to Cheater and Monkey Business for the first time and that was mind blowing but now I've listened to PoF, my god, it's just so out there. I've only listened once but I have it in my head and I have the lyrics.

It's going to be a loooooooonnnnggg time before I get back to T40.

Maybe this thread will be unpinned soon

Billie Jean ain't in 4K, but the Off The Wall clips and Motown 25 also aren't and probably never will be, so I suppose it's not that far out of field. Still hugely disappointing though.

There's a huge difference since BJ was shot on film, but not the others.

I hope Lord Jackson steals every song from Sony's vault. And the docu. And the biopic footage. And they record the Broadway shows in 4K. It's what they deserve. To get hit where it hurts.
I personally wouldn't go that far. Mind you, I think this entire thing was poorly handled, but I've seen enough entitled thieves for the time being.

Still not invested in this documentary, but I do feel bad for those who are.

I still can not believe they put soo much effort into making a doc about Thriller - show it to small audiences at small fan events - and then nothing...

Not the momentum (if there ever was one?) is totally dead and gone... - If they drop a doc next month and link it to T40 it would just be weird and not make sense at all.

I do not understand The Estate and how they handle things...

Thriller and Beat It drops in 4K with NO PROMO, nothing. And the planned doc never comes...
