Your top 5 LEAST fave MJ solo songs (Motown excluded)

Your taste is utter shite.
I've been thinking about this comment since my last reply and I find it to be rather insulting.

You've got previous for the rude responses that you've made to other posters. So what was the need to reply to me in such a dismissive and disrespectful way?

I will not tolerate it, I've said this before to you. Don't push my fcking buttons you prick.

So because I said the song was utter shite (which it is) does that make it acceptable to insult me the way that they did?
If you don't like a song or anything else, there's more palatable ways to say you don't enjoy it.

Perhaps your harsh criticism of the demo, resulted in people's harsh criticism of your opinion? Not that I'm condoning it.

Nah they were just being a dick, so fuck them

Why are you getting all offended that I don't like monkey business?

Are we supposed to say we like every MJ song possible? He had some right stinkers alongside his classic tracks.

I don't see the problem?
You could try to moderate your language. There sure are songs that I’m less fond of, but you don’t see me spreading posts around me calling them “trash” or “utter shite”.

Please remind me, because I really don’t know what you’re talking about. The only person I’ve been proper upset with on this forum is Lord Jackson.

I have no recollection of you telling me anything. Not interested in your buttons.

and you could also be mindful about the way you talk to other posters.

I'm not here to be spoken to like that. You can disagree about my comments all day long - I have no problem with that. However, as soon as you start getting personal that's where I take umbrage.

You calling some of my favourite music “trash”, “stinker”, and “utter shite” is getting very personal. That’s offending to me. By all means, tell me that you hate them, or that you find them boring, even forgettable… But when you call a song “trash”, I’m having a hard time imagining you having too high thoughts about the people that happen to appreciate that same song.

I didn’t mean to spite you with my post. It’s just that you regularly express yourself in a less than charming way.

Did you write the music? No you're just a fan like all of us. Therefore I'm surprised you think me calling a song trash is personal to you.

I think a small selection of music Michael made was crap , the majority was incredible but he did record a few truly awful tracks.

It's not the first time you have reacted in a negative manner to my comments (that were not aimed at you) and decided to get personal.

I believe you are from Sweden? That's it explains it all then, perhaps you should stick with ABBA 😘

Try reading my last post one more time.

ABBA? Is that supposed to be offending?

I used to listen to a warped version of Trouble that was higher speed for years so the slower tempo of the demo sounds so weird to me now lol.

1. Black or white (don’t like it at all sorry guys)
2. Privacy
3. Shout
4. 2 Bad
5. Superfly Sister

Still i listen to them, but my least favorite. Cant believe anyone chose Cry, Heaven can Wait and you are not alone, those are gems!

Superfly Sister is an odd song, the way it starts is great and you expect a banger but it soon turns into a bit of an average track and doesn't really go anywhere.
That's pretty true to be fair.

I like the raw funkiness of the Loren tracks, but you can see why they most stayed in demo form. Some of them do feel like going down a blind alley and lacked direction

This actually contradicts what you had already stated about the Bryan Loren tracks.

For example, you had already stated that you like all of them, that they all suited Michael Jackson's style in the early 'Dangerous' era, that you are desperate to hear the 'Men In Black' song, that the instrumental of 'Mind Is The Magic' is brilliant, and so on.

In any case, Bryan Loren made an interesting revelation as to why none of his songs were included on Michael Jackson's 'Dangerous' album.

According to him, the reasons were politics and behind-the-scenes machinations, and these were also the reasons as to why the official version of the 'Black Or White' rap segment was sung by Bill Bottrell, and not by him.

That's true good memory. I like some more than others, Men In Black and Superfly Sister sound great, if not a tad raw (which adds to their charm admittedly)

Objectively listening to them though, they don't have the same potential as say the demo's of, Jam, In The Closet and Dangerous.

It's weird I couldn't imagine anyone other than Bill Bottrell doing the rap on Black Or White

Lmao at the “thriller” response - this took me by surprise on this thread of least faves - but then I remembered one of my least faves is “She’s out of my life” so no judgement for sure ✋🏾🫢
