Hey, Agonum. Don't wanna make a big thing of this. As I said, we can agree to disagree on this one. For me, personally, the two things are completely different. An adult and a child in a penpal communication, where there is no pre-existing relationship and the adult is not known to me, the parent, I wouldn't be comfortable with that. A minor, using an anonymous alias instead of their real name, in a conversation on a public message board, in a thread in which there are several people active, which a parent could easily monitor if needed, that's an entirely different thing.

Well. This I agree with. But “where the[re] is no pre-existing relationship and the adult is not known to me, the parent” – that’s a new variable. I never said anything about any of that. I was thinking more in lines of a teacher having a penpalship with a student, for instance.
