In the Version of Cinderella from 1973 (former Czechoslovakia) Cinderella, for example, puts on a disguise and challenges the Prince in shooting / hunting. And, of course she wins! We loved this so much as little girls ...

I've missed so much, there's just no way to respond to every post. So it'll all be in one.
I really like the idea of writing a fairy tale story together. Creating a fairy tale is a very powerful process. I'm in. I'm having a hard time visualizing exactly how to bring it to life. I wonder if men would get involved too))))))
Should I be Cinderella? I like the idea, but I don't insist. If someone really wants to take on that role, I don't mind. Does it have to be specifically one of us though?

I agree. The space thing was just a throwaway convo between me and wendi when we were out of our minds bc it was so late! Let's get back to Zolushka / Cinderella. I've posted some stuff to try to sum up where we are in the conversation. I think y'all should crack on with the idea, see what you come up with.

What I think is interesting about this version of Cinderella is she seems to spend a bit of time with the Prince. In other words, she gets to see him in other contexts, presumably there is some conversation. She must get to know him at least a little bit. It's not love-at-first-sight fairy tale (ha!) stuff. It's more substantial than that.

Anyway, it's up to you people. I'm too tired to have any ideas. I was up until stupid o'clock posting stuff. I can barely think straight.

Yeah, it kind of was. And it was the, ahem, PG12 version. If you saw the stuff I chose NOT to post - bc, y'know, minors on the thread and all that, lol. See , its a creative process and personally , i would say to all the girls n guys who wanna participate just let it flow, write what comes and let it transpire into something ~that you ...can't control and you have to keep coming back to it so it really engages you.keeping your eyes on it - ...like , like ... it is trying to veer up n bite you and you have to grab it and throw and you - must attack it , no ....see, wrong vibe - i'm gonna learn something from you girls n guys i'm excited

I noticed that too. The Prince and Cinderella here aren't just sweet and romantic, they're mischievous and with character. They're so beautiful.
And I noticed that there is no Fairy Godmother in the story.
I read that this film is traditionally shown before New Year's Eve in several countries. A lot of people here love it too. I remember watching it as a child. The Prince won me over))))
