@zinniabooklover & @wendijane arguing over the dress color

Fuz, I think you tried this before and it didn't really take off, iirc. I don't think it's going to this time, either. Mainly bc I don't care, lol. @wendijane can have the blue dress AND the pink dress. I don't want either one of them.

Plus, we've got our own Cinderella thing going on.

AND, Disney doesn't do it for me or wendi (can't speak for @bluemoon7 or @hope).

Hi lovely people (@hope @wendijane @zinniabooklover @mjfanatic777) I finally decided to not participate in the story writing in this thread. It just goes over my head because there are too many fragments of it and then all the other posts in between 😅

... my laptop is also a bit slow and it takes some time to even find ONE particular post. The scrolling is making me dizzyyy... all the pictures and different topics ... I cannot deal lolol.

So, just don´t wait for me and just continue. I love this thread and will still be here, but Cinderella will have to find her Prince without me :ROFLMAO:

This is such a shame but I also understand. I was so looking forward to your contributions but was already wondering where there would be room for a silly version, for example, if that was your preferred approach. I looked online at some of the alternative versions out there. Didn't see anything that really captured my attention but it was interesting to see some of the ideas. Cowgirl Cinderella? Er, OK! :D

Tbh, I'm not sure how long I'll stick around. Also, I already have my perfect Cinderella in Adam Ant's Prince Charming video. His clothes are better, the black panther is perfect, his flashy car is better than a golden coach, I love his fairy godmother ... it's all there.

So we shall see. I'm going to take a little break and I think wendi and mj777 and hope will do very well as a team.

EDIT - still losing the plot (ha!)

@wendijane @hope @bluemoon7 @@mjfanatic777

The Fairy Godmother, for that is what she was, never revealed her name. Sometimes she altered her appearance - mostly on Tuesdays or sometimes during lunch hour - but her name was always kept secret. Power resides in names. They are not to be revealed.
@bluemoon7

This was as far as I got with trying to bring a little bit of silliness into my sections but it didn't really go anywhere. I kept derailing myself with herbal lore and folklore type stuff. And always wanting to create an interlude before the next bit of action kicked in, lol. So it didn't go anywhere but I liked the basic idea, for sure.

*rolls in James Bond fashion* My goodness gracious! Fill me in with all of this please my ladies lol :ROFLMAO:
omigosh! Where to start? I can't even remember where it started. It was @hope, iirc. She posted a short clip of a Russian version of Cinderella and then posted the full 17 mins version on P.1218 and the convo was already up and running.

I can't remember who came up with the idea of writing our own version. Wasn't me, that much I do know. On P.1228 I tried to gather together various comments and suggestions that had been made about the idea so that could be another starting point. There was also some talk of getting a separate thread going but that hasn't happened.

I think @hope did the opening paragraph for the story:

Once upon a time, there was a girl. She lived with her father and mother. Their family was strong and full of love. In the evenings, they would gather around the fire. Her mother was spinning or knitting, and her father always had something to fix around the house. The fire would crackle in the hearth and the parents would quietly discuss household chores. Sometimes, and such evenings the girl liked best, instead of the usual conversation there was a fairy tale story.

And it goes on from there and there's loads already so it'll take a while to get through, lol. And I need to take a break bc I was doing too many bits and I've got to crack on with boring RL stuff and @bluemoon7 is watching from the sidelines which I can understand so already it's become a mad thing. The story is pretty good, though, if I do say so myself. Acutally, I just remembered, @@mjfanatic777 read through the whole thing last night and it didn't seem to take her very long so maybe it's not as daunting as I thought. 🤔

Bwahahahahahah!!!!! OMGGGG, racoons are sooo awesome! They way the one just climbed in the ceiling!

It also reminded me of Michael hanging in the subway ceiling for the start of the BAD dance sequence lmaooo! (As can be seen in the BAD25 documentary) :ROFLMAO:

Zolushka when out and walked in to the woods, that was near her home, and she kept telling herself, 'Find the 3 sunflowers and the 3 wild roses', she hoped she'd find them soon so she could get back to her mother and father. Now, Zolushka looks weak and timid, but looks can deceive, she was fierce as a lion, and she was afraid of nothing. She also had the kiss of the Fairy Godmother that was also a protection shield so that it would protect her from any harsh and harmful energies that surround the land. As she walked into the deep wood she spotted a gleam of yellow. "Finally!" She said softly, "A sunflower! Maybe a whole bundle of them!" She quickly trotted towards the gleam of yellow light but to her dismay she didn't find any sunflowers, or any flowers at all. But her disappointment was soon replaced with awe as in front of her eyes was a little yellow fairy fluttering in place. "Hello my child," said the little yellow fairy, "I am part of the Mystic Queendom and the Fairy Godmother you met in the time of morning dew is our ruler. She has sent me here to help you find these flowers and I will be by your side until then." Zolushka, in great delight and gratitude thanked the little yellow fairy for her generosity. On they went, into the deep woods to find the flowers that were to save her family and the fate of the earth.
Soon luck smiled on Cinderella and her little yellow helper.
After a long search among dark trees and thorny bushes they came to a beautiful bright clearing. The sunlight, having no obstacles flooded everything growing here, every blade of grass or flower was bathed in gentle warm rays.
Cinderella stopped, she looked with a smile at her companion, who was already spinning in a sunny dance of joy. The girl wanted to enjoy the inspiring view as well. Light, warmth was what she needed right now. But a feeling of urgency to go suddenly overwhelmed the girl, she ran. Strangely it was as if she knew where she needed to go and that she might not make it in time.
The stop. There it was. Ahead was the flower she was looking for. The flower of happiness and joy. And her hope for the return of her beloved parents, for finding a happy world.
The flower was found. Cinderella and the little yellow fairy continued their journey in the forest. They talked a little and the little fairy knew about the girl's mission, about how happy she had been with her father and mother until the trouble came. She remembered with horror her meeting with the terrible beauty, how she had tried to fight her, but could do nothing. Sometimes the interlocutors interrupted to overcome natural forest obstacles, which required a lot of effort. Shrubbery, small streams in ravines, tree branches and beetles. Yes beetles. Strange - thought Cinderella - I don't see animals at all, and these crawling creatures meet more and more often. Soon it became difficult to walk, fast insects were climbing under her feet, and the girl did not want to step on beetles at all. The little yellow fairy noticed that Cinderella's steps became slower and more hesitant.
"I don't understand why there are so many residents of the Crawling Kingdom here, they usually take other paths this time of year. Of course they didn't know that these tiny creatures were at the mercy of the Wicked Witch. There was no time for reflection. More and more insects rose into the air and circled around the frightened travelers. Cinderella hastily hid the little fairy and the precious flower under the light jacket she was wearing. It was a good thing That she did it, because the bugs were getting more and more aggressive and the first bites had already appeared on the girl's skin. Cinderella drove away these flying creatures as hard as she could, but she couldn't walk anymore. Even that unbearable hum of flying insects became louder and louder. Her strength was running out and she felt like she was going to fall. A little more and ... Then someone's strong hands picked her up and Cinderella found herself on a horse.
- Hold on tight and say goodbye to the bugs, - said a man's voice with a laugh.

Ugh, I realized that I have a hard time making time for our story on weekdays. But... I have vacation in 2 days and it will be easier for me.
I'm so loving everything we've come up with! It's been a pleasure rereading everything. Now I'm calm for Cinderella, she has more and more helpers. How's the father doing in the hands of the evil beauty? .....
I'm going to go read everything I missed.)
