Why would you support a terrible decision in MJ's history: AUTOTUNE!!! His voice is already perfect, why would you want to RUIN it with a machine??5 remixes and a song from Dangerous? Absolutely not lol. I like (most of) the remixes and I'm saying this.
next year there'll be a SDE of Purple RainOk but I wanted Parade...
did he say September?I wonder if we'll hear any news regarding the documentary now (since Branca said it's set to come out this month).
On tiktok, yes (iirc).did he say September?
Well, I've just checked the tiktok video and he says "this year" specifically, but I do remember reading his answer to this question somewhere else and he said September, but who knows. It's been almost a year since the original screening and also since T40 now.did he say September?
Hopefully they will package in a full high quality Victory tour concert with it, but knowing the estate they probably will not.I still hope we get to see the Thriller doc one day.
And for each day that goes by I really hope they do NOT name it Thriller 40th anniversary or anything related to that
Not only them, but the brothers also. Highly doubt they'd sign off on a Victory release.Hopefully they will package in a full high quality Victory tour concert with it, but knowing the estate they probably will not.
This is the big thing that people overlook. The first collaborative effort between the estate and the brothers was a year or two ago with the vinyl reissue of the 1981 live album. Not only them, but the brothers also. Highly doubt they'd sign off on a Victory release.
Now that's the thing. I think Sony had more to do with it than either of them, since it was part of the Jacksons' catalogue reissues. This is the big thing that people overlook. Why are they so against it? They were at the height of their fame it's not like it's going to make them look badNot only them, but the brothers also. Highly doubt they'd sign off on a Victory release.
This is not an official explanation, but my own opinion based on facts. Why are they so against it? They were at the height of their fame it's not like it's going to make them look bad![]()
Not only have the brothers have been controlling douchebags since the mid-80s, they’re also (presumably) still at odds with the estate over MJ’s will. I can’t imagine they’d be willing to sign off on any new Jacksons release, likely for the reasons @MJbr2 noted above. Why are they so against it? They were at the height of their fame it's not like it's going to make them look bad![]()
You know, I think the reissues were all Sony efforts which had no input from them. Standard procedure from their "legacy artists department".On the one hand, the recent Jacksons reissues had a curious lack of outtakes and demos; on the other, McClain was responsible for one of the “Can You Feel It” remixes.
Well, royalties.Jackie is a liaison to the estate. Why hasn't he brokered a peace?
What if they gave it equal billing? Michael Jackson & The Jackson's?
I wish Michael had appointed Matt Forger & Donald Trump as co-executors of his estateThe mj estate is really just wtf

‘thriller’ had already been number one on the ukUK Top 5 albums as at 4 September 1983. Thriller at No. 5.
(And at No.2 something called '18 Greatest Hits: Michael Jackson Plus the Jackson 5')
IKR! Fabulous! I bought a copy of Classic Pop magazine (Sinead O'Connor tribute) and the chart was in there.‘thriller’ had already been number one on the ukalbum charts earlier that year. yet it would return after september with the release of the short film, and multiple times after.
Oh, I didn't know that. Sneaky bar-stewards!the 18 greatest hits was a motown compilation album. it had a picture of michael from ‘80/‘81 on the cover. motown had been releasing albums to detract from the epic releases ever since michael and his brothers left them in 1975
. the fact that the 18 greatest hits album made it to number one, shows how popular michael was at the time, and how eager the public was to consume anything that had his name, face, or voice on.
