Because MJ Became a multinational success after the Bad Tour lol.
no no no. i mean, how do you know, that dangerous is my first record to hear? that's the truthBecause MJ Became a multinational success after the Bad Tour lol.
And Jimi didn't get to do one at all. He died in 1970. The Starting From Zero book was published in 2013. It's stitched together from interviews he did, letters and notes and general scraps of this and that he left behind. I have the book but still haven't read it properly. Seems OK but it's not an autobiography. 'Jimi in his own words' is the PR angle for the book, which is fair enough. At least he got to do a whole one. Prince didn't get to finish his...
Wrong thread?Did Russians only know about the likes of Michael Jackson and western culture due to the collapse of the USSR/iron curtain?
Was everything they knew spoon fed before this?
Also , did Michael ever play in Eastern Germany before the collapse of the Berlin wall etc? Or was that simply not allowed?
Google is free Buffalo Bill.Did Russians only know about the likes of Michael Jackson and western culture due to the collapse of the USSR/iron curtain?

Well it's more general than an MJ question. And the engagement my posts get says otherwise. But good on you for trying to clown me.Ok Butch Cassidy
There's also no need to be rude either. I asked what I thought was an interesting question about MJ. You have created multiple pointless threads but I don't see anyone telling you that Google is free.
Have you got bipolar? Some days you're fine and then others you're starting arguments and coming away with crap.Well it's more general than an MJ question. And the engagement my posts get says otherwise. But good on you for trying to clown me.
Thought you had me on ignore? Please keep ug ignoring me. I don't want this cornyness infesting my lifeHave you got bipolar? Some days you're fine and then others you're starting arguments and coming away with crap.
Let's be honest, you're a bit of a so you can't blame me for trying to "clown you"
Neither do I. You are on ignore.Thought you had me on ignore? Please keep ug ignoring me. I don't want this cornyness infesting my life
Well it's true. You might find your answer on Google. You shouldn't expect me to be so soft and tender with you. Arguing is a two way street. You were the one who provoked me earlier with your Google is free comment and that weird buffalo bill thing wtf
I'll be really honest with you, I couldn't give a toss what you think or how you feel. You're just a random dude online who thinks they know it all...Well it's true. You might find your answer on Google. You shouldn't expect me to be so soft and tender with you. Arguing is a two way street.
And as far as Buffalo Bill goes, that's just me giving you a nickname. In remembrance of a member from the past you remind me of. That's all.
These titles ('Moowalk' and 'Moonwalker') emanated also from Michael Jackson's desire to be perceived (during that period) as a supernatural guy.Wasn’t the game named like so rather because it just happened to be based upon the movie?
Is that actually proven, that he fed them with those stories? These titles ('Moowalk' and 'Moonwalker') emanated also from Michael Jackson's desire to be perceived (during that period) as a supernatural guy.
So, he not only gave the 'Moowalk' and 'Moonwalker' titles to certain of his official projects (autobiography, film, Sega video games which of course were based on the film, etc) but he also started to feed the media/press with all these supernatural stories about him.
Like, the story that he wanted to buy the bones of the Elephant Man, the story that he was sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber (so as to reach the age of 150 years old), and so on.
MJ did it all. Generate press / buzz. His PR guy from way back (forgot his name) admitted it. He could be lying of course, but I believe him.Is that actually proven, that he fed them with those stories?
Thing is @Agonum Todd Gold wrote a book with that Title.“Man in the Mirror”
You are here for lemons and lemons only! [ and girlfriends ]I don’t care what he did or didn’t do. I’m here for his music
It was actually confirmed by Michael Jackson himself, for example about the hyperbaric chamber story:Is that actually proven, that he fed them with those stories?
Frank DiLeo did not lie about that because this was confirmed by multiple sources.MJ did it all. Generate press / buzz. His PR guy from way back (forgot his name) admitted it. He could be lying of course, but I believe him.
Who is he?Thing is @Agonum Todd Gold wrote a book with that Title.

As far as I know, that Michael quote comes from Taraborrelli’s book, and Michael’s actual response to all of this was given in the Oprah special. It was actually confirmed by Michael Jackson himself, for example about the hyperbaric chamber story:
"I can't believe that people bought it. It's like I can tell the press anything about me and they'll buy it. We can actually control the press" (Michael Jackson)
Frank DiLeo did not lie about that because this was confirmed by multiple sources.
For instance, the story about the hyperbaric chamber was confirmed also by Michael Jackson himself, by Charles Montgomery (from National Enquirer) and also by public relations expert Michael Levine.
Michael Jackson came up with the hyperbaric chamber story in order to promote better his 'Captain EO' film at that time.
If this is true, then it is indeed ridiculous,in my view at least..Michael Jackson apparently wanted to secure a copyright on the name that he gave to his Moonwalk signature dance move.
So, this seems to explain why he later decided to officially give the 'Moonwalk' title to his autobiography, the 'Moonwalker' title to his 1988 film, and the 'Michael Jackson's Moonwalker' title to his Sega video games.
Well isn't Taraborrelli's book a reliable source? As far as I know, that Michael quote comes from Taraborrelli’s book, and Michael’s actual response to all of this was given in the Oprah special.
Well, not really. He’s great at exaggerating things. Not that good at providing sources for his claims.Well isn't Taraborrelli's book a reliable source?
Or..?
Sorry for my rather late response!Well, not really. He’s great at exaggerating things. Not that good at providing sources for his claims.
Yes, I think that's the guy I was referring to. The whole thing (deceptive manipulation of the public through mass media) is a disgusting practice. So when falsehoods comes back to bite you, you shouldn't really complain. All in my opinion of course.and also by public relations expert Michael Levine.
