The MJ Estate fools us | and we forgive them every single time!?

We need Invincible 20th, History 25, Dangerous 25, Off the Wall re-release, plus actual promotion campaigns to stream more songs like fans are actually doing right now to get Thriller #1 on the chart
Literally all of those dates have passed us by. It's like you only said the ones we haven't done yet.

They could've did HIStory 25 and Dangerous sets already. About that COVID excuse, it isn't an excuse. The Prince Estate had the SOTT set planned since 2018 and finalized the rollout in late 2019 after the 1999 set. The Estate had plenty time to create sets and plan a rollout. And even if they didn't put out something, they could've did a HIStory 25 special or something streaming a concert. They showed Opening Night, snippets of Munich with the new angles, BJ leaked... As I said before, they are good at bringing in new fans but they need to work on satisfying the fans that are here already. After the biopic comes out and the promotion starts, they are going to have a rude awakening when they realize the new fans don't want all these projects either and a full deluxe set from an album to deep dive into that. Incorporate live shows more... Release live albums... Do better with the visuals and interactive content.. And sure some vault content leaked from those 2 albums but it's still needed on streaming services and physical medias. Dolby Atmos, remasters...

they showed snippets of prague 96 not munich.

The estate is only interested in eras off the wall thrillers and bad nothing that comes after that, we have to put up with it

Is it the estate or is it the casual audience?

If the estate was interested they could easily get the public hyped over an Invincible re-release.. if they make proper promotion etc the audience will be interested and the album would get the attention it deserved since 2001.. same goes for everything post Bad.

This thread is getting fairly long. Seem to be on everyone's mind. [or most] Hopefully The Estate will at least listen to us.

we have to put up with it
No we don't . Then ..money goes to 'other' estates if they want to treat us bad. Don't they see that as a serious thing.?

They don't care about our money Wendi. Mjjcommunity is not the backbone of the MJ community. For bad and for good.

Well that's the thing, I agree. It would attract a lot of attention. They almost seem to want people to discover it for themselves.

Meanwhile, most of the people on this forum could care less for it lol.

Yep.
Even Xscape was a big Hype and for us fans there was barely new material on it. And I personally didn’t like most of the new mixes but promo-wise it was done right.

They literally even could get hype and attention for any MJ album project if done right.
Ghosts would be something which would deserve way more attention. A forty minutes music short film which most people don’t even know about. I’d say add a making of to it and make it a 90 minutes special in 4K widescreen in cinemas. Re-release “blood on the dance floor” as soundtrack with bonuses and the actual OST of the movie… it’s not that hard to get the right ideas. Even without bonus material it would get me hyped…

They'd basically have to focus on the music and music videos and they just don't want to do that. They want the casual audience and they want to branch out. Maybe so they aren't accused of milking him like Tupac. Even now they say they're just making a new "cash grab" where really, there's barely been anything, just like when MJ was alive.

That actually is the case, that the biopic/musical/Cirque show are all way, way more Respectful to MJ than the posthumous music. Which does not have a good reputation to the general public and isn't even agreed upon by most of us.

Focusing on music, short films and concerts would be like the thing I’d expect them to do…
Instead they sold back the ATV catalog to Sony which MJ would have NEVER done!

No, they were actually looking to increase MJs cut of the ATV catalog.

Didn’t they sell it for 750 million dollars ?? That’s what I read..
Something to that effect, yeah. Meanwhile they're selling usage of Half of MJs catalogue for a billion. Which does communicate his value, if just 50% of MJ warranted more than the entire Sony ATV catalogue.

The estate certainly knows what we fans want, they don't let us pretend, it's a shame that ghosts history tour is still not released on blue ray
