The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Why do we want Quincy's touch again? Most of his Bad era production wasn't as good. The Bad Demoes all sound more interesting to me.

Or Michael probably thought the 1988 mix was better than the one he presented.
."
Michael actually told Bill he disliked the “country” sound in the 1988 mix, so it’s much more likely Sony just went with the most current version of each song for the special edition releases. Same thing happened with SPYHO- the most recent version was included on a cancelled version of the Bad special edition, despite it being recorded during the Dangerous sessions.

I disagree- Bad, TWYMMF and MITM are some of his best work. I think the production on those three are just as good as anything from OTW and Thriller.
Well in those cases, I don't think we've heard the demoes. So I agree that those are the exceptions. APOM, Speed Demon, and Smooth Criminal though? I love the rawer early cuts certainly just as much.

Honestly i'd love to hear all the early cuts of the Bad album tracks, they sound the exact same as the Quincy-produced versions but with a distinct 80s sound the Quincy versions lack, and i personally just love me some raw Linn 9000 lol

The heavier bottoms too, that's what was lacking in the final cuts more often than not. Like something close to bass lol. The Way You Make Me Feel though, is the exception.

Not really. Michael just said "Billy, this sounds country". Bottrell himself was not sure if MJ meant this in a positive or negative way.
Wasn't this the song about which he said 'that's ignorant' about the harmonica? (Can't recall source)

You know what, the initial press release from 5/21/2012 promissed the release of some of those demos.

A CD containing previously unreleased material recorded in Michael's personal studio at Hayvenhurst.
This material includes early demo versions of songs from the album as well as demos for songs not included on the final album. All of this material is being released as it was recorded during the BAD sessions. Nothing has been added.
In addition, this CD will also include new remixes from internationally renowned DJ/producers.

By any chance are we going to get any new songs released soon?
does anyone know real snippets from Michael from around the 00s?
