"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

1993 was forgotten by 2001, it was the Bashir interview that did the damage. Simply not doing that and nobody would care, and he'd also still be alive
nope 1993 was never forgotten all my life since 1993 i had family , friends and strangers believing that mj was a pedo

We do not need to use intentionally negative phrases to describe the case when we already know what it was and what it wasn't. As already stated above it did nothing to stop any legal proceedings.

I guess we should just all start saying MJ paid boys off and provided hush money even though it's not correct at all.
Fact is it isnt 'not correct at all'. In a way you could argue it was hush money, dispite other motives of MJ/advisers to settle. Just read my post again. The agreement/settlement literally stated 'drop the civil case and never to speak about it again' (hush) for the fee payed on behalf of MJ (money) by the insurance company.

The fact that Evan/the chandlers never went on to the criminal trial dispite being allowed to just shows their true intentions: money. I would like to see more people using it as an argument against the Chandlers story.

I do agree with you that we shouldnt intentionally use these phrases or terms on this forum.

To call it hush money involves ignoring every other detail of the case, which is not something I'm going to do. It seems rather ignorant of details to me and wrong.

Anyway this is the biopic thread so gonna move on from this now.

They need to show how he was victimized and lynched by the false allegations, the humiliation he suffered is very important so people realize he was the victim and empathize with him.
Yes but movie wise that might be clear enough by just 'showing Michael's true intentions/relationships/harassment' imo

Some of you "fans" sure are negative and pessimistic about everything to do with Michael. What is the real agenda here? To get us to give up on Michael? You don't have to be here if you feel like theres no hope for Michael's legacy.

In 2010, there was a temporary memorial site for Michael opened in Tokyo. Within the first 2 weeks it had accumulated over 300,000 visitors at a rate of nearly 15,000 people per day. Since 2025 would be a perfect time for opening the first Michael Jackson museum, where should it be?

wheres Randy?
Good question. idk!

I looked at a few different sources today and they all seemed to have this same info. Some of them have the photos in colour but that was the only difference I noticed. I guess this is all the production company has released so far. 🤷‍♀️

Seriously. You can save your ""s. Some of us have been fans longer than you. Probably longer than you've been alive. We're just not that naiive to believe that there will be this one event that will clear Michael's name once and for all. That was a dream for many years, but the sad reality is, it is not gonna happen. There will always be someone with verbal diarrhea and Tourette syndrom and blurt out the allegation lies whenever his name is mentioned. Of course, this is a movie and people are stupid, so maybe some will fall for it, but the general flock of idiot people believing the other movie won't change their minds due to another movie.

No it won't fully clear his name and its not like about all people in the world going to worship him after the movie. If we get a new generation of people seeing Michaels legacy, his hard life and amazing music and become fans or even if 5% of all people would show more empathy, thats already a big win. Obviously there are always going to be people who dont care and mock him and whatever. But this movie has potential and lets be optimistic!

Also your calling someone naive for being optimistic while using ""s and 'tourette syndrome' in your respons just makes you seem more bitter.

Who's to say the Victory tour will be a part of the movie?
Colman Domingo said the Victory tour was already shot.

It says Jackson 5. Randy wasn't in The Jackson 5.
I don't know if he ever signed a contract with Motown, but he was on stage with his brothers long before they became the Jacksons. Maybe they just don't include him because he was not part of the "original" Jackson 5.

Yes. He was. But he never was a official member. He only became one, when they left Motown and became the Jacksons.

What is it now? Are we "fans", who want to drive MJ fans away or are we bitter about the treatment MJ has received the latter part of his life?? Make up your minds.

This last segment is crazy. Are you all here?

This last segment is crazy. Are you all here?
I believe I am. Why? Because I think it's crazy that people let their opinions be swayed by movies? People had their opinions swayed by the Neverland movie. It would be crazy if they would just get swayed back by this movie, which may take liberties like the Bohemian Rhapsody movie did. People should make their opinions based on real stuff, not by movies that have an agenda.
