Sure, but you also have to give the longtime listeners something worth hearing. It’s the same criticism we all have towards official estate documentaries. Also, who is the intended audience? He isn’t promoting it on Twitter as of yet, but even if he did, anyone who follows him already knows this because he takes and writes about it constantly.
I’m halfway through episode three now (skipped episode two), and there’s nothing we aren’t already aware of. The closest we get is studio audio of Teddy recording backing vocals for “Monster,” and also some new direct quotes from collaborators. But that’s it.
Not trying to be a Debby downer here, but this just bums me out. We have so many questions and curiosities about MJ’s final years and later material, and the single best source for any of it decided to instead do this. It’s just a waste imo.
