When the marketing starts I assume it'll be everywhere. The studio is expecting big things from this movie and the general excitement around it up until now says to them that people are waiting.

They aren't complaining about MJ mind you, but why the procedure to announce the awards is so drawn outHere is Salif Gueye and Victoria Dauberville. They did this MJ/PYT performance several times at the Olympics this summer. Now they are doing it at the Ballon D'Or ceremony (mind you, the football fans are complaining, lol).
Fair point. I just found it funny but, yeah, it's the fact that it's dragging that they didn't like not so much the MJ aspect. They aren't complaining about MJ mind you, but why the procedure to announce the awards is so drawn out
13 November and 25 December respectivelyI want to see Gladiator 2 and Nosferatu if it's good, when do they drop?
On one podcast he said that he had read the script and was crying at the end. It says a lot.Does that mean the movie is all prepared and he has seen it? Or would he have seen bits or been present during some of the filming?
Wow... in that case I hope he isn't a quick crier. On one podcast he said that he had read the script and was crying at the end. It says a lot.
This is an interesting question... Might deserve a thread on it own.So when does the Biopic era actually start and what do we call the current era?
Audience will be interested!Remember Jack Ma that rules Alibaba Pictures Group Limited,is a huge fan of Michael Jackson, and a lot of people (many are entertainers)of his age too.I know Michael from my dad,who is over 50,though he did believe in those rumors.Anyway,Chinese people have special feeling about Michael, media praise he dedicated his impact to charity when other western entertainers focus on discredit China's image, and Michael always stand on the right side of Taiwan problem, which to be a principle and bottom line for Chinese.I posted that stuff from the promo event in China bc I remember there was a convo a while back suggesting that China probably wouldn't be interested in the film. I might be misremembering but I'm pretty sure there was a suggestion that maybe the biopic wouldn't find an audience in China. So I posted this bc it shows that Lionsgate are clearly trying to sell the thing over there. Which is cool. I'm assuming it will only play in the big urban centres but that's normal. I wouldn't expect it to get the same distribution it will get in the US.
The Biopic Resurgence eraThis is an interesting question... Might deserve a thread on it own.
How about the Redemption era from now on. I should hope it goes down that way.
And the last couple of years... I'm afraid it would have to be a bad name... Like the Betrayal era or the Posthumous stabbing era.
the "Michael has been dead for 15 years" era.So when does the Biopic era actually start and what do we call the current era?
Oh, it wasn't me that thought the audience potential in China was limited. I did think perhaps the PR campaign might focus specifically on the urban areas of China since there might be more demand there. Presumably the film will get dubbed or will get Chinese subtitles so as to give it the widest appeal. But in terms of general interest, Michael's Chinese fans will be all over this and I'm sure he'll pick up loads of new ones, as well.Audience will be interested!Remember Jack Ma that rules Alibaba Pictures Group Limited,is a huge fan of Michael Jackson, and a lot of people (many are entertainers)of his age too.I know Michael from my dad,who is over 50,though he did believe in those rumors.Anyway,Chinese people have special feeling about Michael, media praise he dedicated his impact to charity when other western entertainers focus on discredit China's image, and Michael always stand on the right side of Taiwan problem, which to be a principle and bottom line for Chinese.
1. Would you know if his fans even have a habit of naming parts of his career an era? You would have to be part of that community to know if they have it or not.the "Michael has been dead for 15 years" era.
there are no more eras, i dont see people labelling the elvis movie an era or the whitney movie an era.

2. I think it's ok to keep naming eras, provided his career does continue in a significant fashion (either as far as public opinion is concerned or in terms of commercial success). I would assess the potential success of this movie be more significant to both criteria than ... let's say Invincible.
Put the fries in the bag broThere are no eras anymore!
These are the dark times...
The Light went out on June 25 2009.
The emperor (John B.) is ruling and his dark agent (the other John) is causing fear throughout the galaxy.
There are merely flickers of diffuse beams of light and hope.. Mostly when unreleased music is officially made available or a project is released where someone bothered to really put the work in and did not eff it up, one way or the other...
Hope is in sight with the biopic. But true freedom can only be reached if the dark force of John & John will be overthrown and the true heirs of the Light climb the throne themselves or hand it to someone they deem worthy.
Ask your best mate when are we getting new musicMy best mate just told me the trailer won't come out till Xmas time
