It's obvious there'll be some kind of new music with the release of the biopic next year. Be it a brand new album, some kind of GH compilation with just a few new songs/demos or simply a plain soundtrack album to the movie.

Put in here your expectations, predictions or whatsoever in regard of new MJ music in 2025.

I'd imagine a GH with a focus on a re release of one of the hits from the past, most likely Man in the Mirror

I hope for a Hot Street release. It will either be released after the biopic, or for Thriller 50 or never..
Same here.
The Estate seems reluctant to release already leaked songs as is without arranging them.
Even if the songs have already been leaked, I want to see them released, as official releases have a certain value.

The question is which songs, whether released or unreleased, best represent Michael's life. Price of Fame is a hot candidate.

I'll be surprised if we get more than one new song that's being released as a bonus track, but if that's what ends up happening then I hope it's a song that hasn't been heard of before or a song we don't have much info on (something like Be Me 4 A Day, Promise, etc.). I'll be very disappointed if all we get is a song that's already been released, much more so that the estate already released themselves. This isn't a re-issue being lazily put together like T40 was and that'll end up being forgotten by the masses after a month or so, this is the estate's most hyped project both by the fans and by the media. They oughta get creative for this one.

Hot Fun is another song that I think has a decent chance of being released, a song that features guest stars would be a good fit for a bonus track. Not to mention that it's a song that we know it's been on the estate's radar, so it's practically a matter of time until we see it get released.

Be Me 4 A Day sounds like the perfect song for the biopic.
What about Don't Talk Behind My Back?

Theoretically, they could complete the song Innocent Man with Jaafar's vocals. But I honestly doubt that we fans would like that.
The song was first acknowledged by Jackson himself during the Mexico deposition in November 1993[1], following his child sexual abuse allegations. Only a few vocals are known to have ever been recorded.

Since we have that song in great quality already I would rather have something unreleased in pristine sound.
Throwing Your Life Away is definately on the top for this fan.

Unfortunately, it seems like we’re never gonna get that one in pristine quality unless the multitracks are located. The leaked Neff-U mix is apparently taken from the estate’s only available source recording.

Brad Sundberg should have the Multitracks, right? I can imagine the Estate didnt contacted him back in 2010 when the Michael album was put together.

But Brad probably had to hand everything he has to the Estate when he got permission for the seminars.

Just my imagination tho.

For the biopic, I would assume it's just a regular greatest hits. There's really no point doing that. Just let people get Number Ones or Essential.

official releases have a certain value.
For me, I've realized that they really don't.

These days, I couldn't care less what gets released or not. All Sony will do is auto tune the life out of it, then compress it to shit. I'm just not at all interested. Especially if it's not 3 new songs bundled in with 10 songs I already own.

He sadly doesn’t. I believe someone asked him, and he only has cassette mixes for most of the unreleased songs in his possession.

Don't worry about the quality. If it's ever gonna get released, we'll get it in superb quality.

I hope it won't be just another greatest hits album unreleased content is important

You'd have to question the logic of a company that wants to release yet another greatest hits. The reason none of them sold spectacularly after he died was simply because there was so much choice and people didn't know which one to get. It was spread too thinly.

Plus, obviously, people don't buy albums any more, so I'm not sure why we're talking about albums.

I'm sure they know by now another compilation is literally just E-Waste. The modern generation of new fans already know about the Essential Collection and Number Ones

But really the goal should be to drive new fans to listen to the albums entirely.

I would say both have to be the goal to offer something to the new and the old long-time fans

Then it would likely be just the soundtrack to the biopic, featuring an electric blend of material. Released, unreleased, and live recordings too possibly. Imagine we hear some never heard Triumph tour stuff as well.

As an important member of the Michael Jackson Estate, all i'm reading on this thread is "More Greatest Hits!, this time louder though!!!1" and that's exactly what we'll deliver.

Great! Great feedback.

Let's get together, you, me, and John Branca, and let's just talk in this dark alley at 4 AM about. MJ and stuff. It's gonna be great

In that case they'll just create a spotify playlist and post it on their social media to promote the movie, no release needed!
