"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Welcome to the board ;)

Just out of curiosity how do you know about Richard76 if you joined today?
Tell me you’re Richard76 without telling me you’re Richard76
Haha obsession with Invincible era. Dead give away Richard.
I'm not Richard Stites, leave me alone
Yes and Rami played Freddie in the Queen biopic which Graham King also produced. Would be very cool to have him reprise his role as Freddie for a short cameo.

Also, go away Richard.

They will expand Invincible era
I hope they get the facts surrounding Invincible right.
9/11 and Tommy Mottola are the main ingredients for this part of the story.
Were you expecting to go on a potential Invincible Tour?
Michael Durham Prince: We did the two shows in Madison Square Garden, and after the second show, we were riding in a van, to our hotel, with Brad and with Michael Bush. Michael Bush said, “Michael said that everybody should expect a phone call in the next two weeks because we’re going to go on tour.” We were all really excited to hear that because it meant a lot of work and joy, and Michael would go on a world tour again and take it to his fans. But what happened the next morning was 9/11… and everything changed. Michael would have probably gone to Europe first, but Europe seemed like the most dangerous place to be since we didn’t know who was responsible yet. So, we still kept hoping, but if you look back to early 2002, everybody artist canceled their world tours. Just like with COVID. There was still some touring going on in America but Michael liked touring the world. I don’t know if he was more popular in Europe but he thought, “Well, if I had a choice of touring in America or Europe, I would always pick Europe.” In America, to us, every city is the same. I mean, it’s a beautiful country, but to me, Europe is much more fascinating. Anyway, sadly that tour never happened.

That information can't be confirmed or debunked unfortunarely. Remember what Michael said during Invincible era? He couldn't tour anymore and he didn't want to. That's what he said. So when I hear about Invincible Tour plans, I'm starting to laugh. I bet Michael never planned to promote Invincible with tours. He wanted to promote it with short films

I am now of the opinion that the Invincible album should go to court to clarify whether it is itself to blame for its fate or others.

I'm so tired of "traditional" biopics having a script that's just copy & pasted from the person's Wikipedia page. I want to see more non-linear structures that aren't afraid to jump around with the timeline and actually force the audience to pay attention.

Saw that on Instagram - doesn't mean a lot, of course and I can't visit the website to verify (because I'm from Germany?!). But maaaybe it means it won't be delayed 🧐

I actually prefer chronological biopics, makes it feel more real, as if it were happening in real time to a real person and not just a story you're watching on a screen. I think the problem with those Wikipedia biopics is not so much that they are linear, but rather that they just go through the list of events without trying to put emotions in them and the scenes end up feeling empty. That's a problem regardless of if the scenes are in chronological order or in a different order. A non-linear biopic will still end up feeling like a Wikipedia article in disorder if they forget to add emotions.
