"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

They said they're gonna be using scraps of unheard MJ songs to make new music, I'm starting to think that's what they'll be doing lol
I don't want them just replacing MJ vocals with Jafaar. That's hillarious! That will make movie more inauthentic. They already said, that Michael will use usual pills instead of demerol and morphine. I don't want this movie become too fabled

Any proof?
"In one of the moments from the "Michael" movie trailer shown at CinemaCon, viewers saw Michael Jackson sitting alone at a piano in a rather gloomy and quiet atmosphere.
He looks very tired and worn out. There’s a small bottle of pills placed on the piano.
Michael picks up a few pills with his hand and mechanically, without emotion, swallows them, washing them down with water.
The room is almost completely dark — everything is shrouded in semi-shadow, highlighting the character’s loneliness and inner pain.
At that moment, very soft, sad music plays in the background — most likely one of his songs, reimagined in a more minimalist arrangement.
This scene, apparently, highlights his vulnerability, psychological pressure, and health issues that had built up over the years"

Not like MJ was addicted to painkillers and quite publicly announced he was going to rehab for it, or anything.
He did rehab. Elizabeth forced him. Unfortunately it did not lead to anything. And eventually he become even more adicted during Invincible times

How is that? There are music biopics totally sung by the actors, all lip syncing to the original recordings, or a mixture of the 2. There's a John Lennon biopic called Nowhere Boy, where it's about him as a teenager. There's no recordings that exist of John or the other Beatles as teens. Even if there were, they would have most likely been home recordings that wouldn't have the sound quality needed for the movie. That's a reason Tina Turner re-recorded the Ike & Tina songs for her biopic. They used a session singer for Ike's vocals., even though Ike was still alive at the time and he actually visited the film set. What's Love Got To Do With It got some Oscar nominations. The voters didn't seem to care that there were no actual Ike Turner vocals featured in the movie.

It has to be lip synched! With Michael's voice!

listen to this
Shmuley about MJ working on Invincible:
"He could barely even get to the studio. He could barely even wake up. He had fraudulent doctors all around him, giving him crap, that was going to kill him."

Listen to it below, I've marked the spot.

The average rock star takes enough recreational substances to sedate multiple men just for the fun of it. They call it a creative "influence".

The man took some painkillers after severe mental and physical anguish and experimented with some crazy foreign option because he was desperate. He's much worse though.

Maybe he's got a point, the appeal of being sedated is honestly pretty appealing, hence why drug dependency is so constant.

Trying to condemn him for it though, with the condescending tone of it all remains annoying. Especially when it came under the most extreme circumstances every time.

The appeal of being sedated to sleep when having insomnia I would not compare to wanting to get high or strung out for fun. Also people dont get that people that are dependent on drugs do not get a sensational high if they keep taking the same dose, they will just avoid having abstinence symptoms. People that has not been on drugs seem to think you can fly high and have fun with drugs and be super happy without any side effects and other bad consequences, that is not the case at all.

Its not like a you go out and drink with your friends and sober up the the day after. People using prescribed medicine to sleep or to function through pain should not to be put in the same folder as normal healthy people using drugs to spice up their life & have occasional drug trips living "life of the party"

Euphoria would be what I’m getting at but didn’t feel like getting in a disagreement.

Great answer, adds the nuance needed. I wouldn't compare it either.

Since there's obviously no way for Michael to write new music then I guess a way to make it eligible would be to get Jaafar to sing on a new song written for the biopic but then have it include unheard MJ verses, kind of like a "Don't Matter To Me" type of duet? Is that what they're planning to do?
This is actually a brilliant idea. I think that’s what they will do. I reckon it will be more of a duet though then just having MJ on the chorus. Apparantly lots of songs with one verse and chorus, fingers crossed they use those.

I could see them doing that, absolutely awful idea, though.

Yes and Rami played Freddie in the Queen biopic which Graham King also produced. Would be very cool to have him reprise his role as Freddie for a short cameo.

Also, go away Richard.
I sent you my id, I'm not Richard.
