Is this the original version of "Different Kind of Lady"?

The original LP version is the one without the horns, for some reason they used that version on digital streaming since 2016

Dated 2008 May 22, no horns version. The case is cracked famalam

^^that's most likely a reissue because Epic had the orange label when this album came out. Also the original versions of the 2 Gamble & Huff albums had the logo for their label (Philadelphia International) on them. The Epic label design in that video first came out around 1979. The first pressings of Off The Wall still had the orange label, and those had the original mixes before they were changed.

although the original mix is without the horns, I vastly prefer the second mix

I'm not sure but the reason maybe... well I think... The Jacksons remasters are among the most respectful I heard in term of preserving audio "quality". And maybe there were made by someone who actually cared about the discography and thought it would be the occasion for all to get this rare version.

...that said. I have not clue how it may have happened, but I'm suspecting that the inclusion of the first mix was a mistake, like someone using a wrong tape.
