"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

I don't see anything substantial happening; maybe another promo shot to let people know it's still coming, but even that's a stretch given their lack of updates so far.
Well I kinda ate my words here lol; what a wonderful gesture and tribute from the crew: genuine respect for Michael, and so glad to see the passion behind the team. What a refreshingly positive piece of biopic news, and on his birthday :)

I am getting excited about the biopic! Is possible I would really like to attend a sort of première with other fans in the Netherlands or possibly London. What are the chances of something being arranged?
good idea

I would love it.... Be among fans when seeing it.
There will probably be a official premiere as well that I'd like to attend but time is limited and LA is far away.
London would be perfect....or Amsterdam if I want to do it within my country.

Coleman said she was helpful so that could’ve meant with providing notes and criticism. He’s a very well known actor so I doubt he’d throw her name in the hat if she didn’t have some sort of input. Her comments were uncalled for, especially that last line.

If I say it's obvious she's distanced herself from her father in a cold and weird way, I'll probably get a flood of fans insulting me for it… but it's what I've thought for years. Coleman's comment was sweet and in good faith, but Paris replying like that basically just means: "Don't associate me with that project, I don't want anything to do with it, stfu’".

Paris is reacting to the People Magazine and subsequent Rolling Stone headlines about her (Colman Domingo credits Paris Jackson...). Of course she would speak up when she feels that is out of line. As headlines almost always are.
Colman is new in Jackson world and wasn't ready for a passing statement to become a widespread headline.

Then she could’ve sent that message to him privately. You going to social media to “call him out” like he’s a nobody in the industry is crazy.

Part of me agrees, but that's based on how things look from how the old world has run. We could say both of them could use some media training 🤣
This will blow over. Paris is comfortable speaking her mind on her own platforms and very casual about calling in people when she expects them to come correct.
In the greater perspective, I think hers is a healthy way to relate to it all considering the complete craziness media has forced upon her all her life.
She's often highlighted absurdities of mega fame on a human level. That is extremely rare, and very much needed.

Naturally people react when it may appear she's beefing. She's just defending her name.
I don't recall she's mentioned the film before. Now we know why.

She said she gave critique to the first draft, Coleman said she was helpful. That was it. There was no need to run to social media and personally call out Coleman like he did something wrong. She could’ve been like her “father” and said nothing at all. She was out of line…..this is why I avoid anything related to them.

Perfect promo opportunity would be to do a thriller themed trailer since they've recreated the video. But that would require a marketing and communication team.

Changing my mind on “Go Paris! You say it like it is” as I sat on it; I’ve always felt like Paris has had every right to be angry and jaded at the entertainment industry as a whole that ultimately killed her Dad. But, like you said, this was not the right move or person to aim her frustration of being ignored by the scriptwriters.

I have a teenager, and I am making him aware that not everything that pops into his head needs to be said out loud, to everyone, in the moment. PJ gives me this kind of energy, and the problem is that she's not a teen.

And as frustrating as she might find it to be MJs daughter and be in the public eye, she's chosen to remain in the public eye.

She's not a teenager, she's almost 30 years old.

I really hope all 3 of MJs kids will be present together for any kind of premier. I don't think it's good enough to collect cheques and not be there at pivotal moments to support the person who brings in those cheques. I will also be disappointed if there are not enough key figures from the Jackson family.

Whatever criticism anyone wants to level at LMP, she always supported her father's legacy and she did all of it by herself as the only child.

Out of respect for her brother who is heavily involved in the film she should have just been diplomatic about this. I have stopped expecting anything from her tbh. If she doesn’t want anything to do with her father’s legacy that’s her problem. That’s why I like Prince a lot. He is holding the fort as best as he can as his 2 younger siblings aren’t interested 🤣 Just let her be guys and hope it doesn’t ruin our anticipation for the film :)

I don´t know whats wrong with Paris, since Leaving Neverland.
False!

The first link in Google search:
“He put 50 years of blood, sweat and tears and love and passion into doing what he did, so I could stand up here on stage, in front of you, and scream into a microphone," she said of Michael during the show in August 2023. “So I owe everything to him."

Also ChatGPT:
You’re asking whether Paris Jackson changed her opinion of her father, Michael Jackson, after the Leaving Neverland documentary. From all available public records, interviews, and statements—there’s no indication that Paris changed her view. On the contrary, she has consistently maintained her support, though with a notably calm and measured public tone."
