The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

The meaning of the term "unreleased tracks" seems to vary depending on the person.
Some say it refers the songs that weren't included on an album but were released in some form, while others say it refers only to leaked songs.

if we can't talk about song leaks and what the songs sound like, then wtf are we discussing LMAO
I meant it in the form to discuss the contents of the actual song, and stories from the producers behind them, why would that apply to if some random person from England who wasn’t even conscious when MJ was active has a slightly higher quality version of a track?

Slightly is severely underestimating it but sure
Actually, I'm not sure why you people care so little or not at all about audio quality, I mean, yall are fans of the guy who cried when he heard the first version of Thriller because it sounded bad, you'd think fans of that guy would give a damn about audio quality lol

It's been a couple of months now, I still love Boy No, that snippets has lived in my head rent free

Michael had a gift when it came to infectious hooks
Definitely sounds like a gem. The background vocals sort of remind me of "duuu, duuuuuhhh... duuh duuhuh" from The Way You Make Me Feel live intro.

We do. But we also understand that it’s the fans that decide to leak the tracks, and the discussion of that is a separate thing entirely to the tracks themselves.

Genuinely buddy, it isn’t that deep. Most people do not care about audio quality 😭😭😭😭😭

Spotify is a testimony to that, they have the worst audio quality out of all the platforms, and yet people still prefer Spotify

You're not revealing some deep secret to me Motif, I know people don't give two shits about audio

But again, my point still stands lmao
It's literally like being a film enthusiast and only watching films through YT uploads or some shit.

YouTube Music audio quality is definitely worse. Especially now that Spotify has lossless. It's the worst lossless but still.

Off-topic, but I guess I can make it on-topic if I bring MJ into it…

What do you think of Qobuz? It's supposed to be the audiophile alternative to Spotify. Thriller 40 is on there, I'm curious how the disc 2 demos sound compared to other streaming services.

CDQ (Not MP3, seeing as some people have started using that to mean an MP3 for some reason) is good enough, honestly. At that point I'm thinking about if the mastering is good or not or mixing/mastering differences between versions (doesn't really happen with modern releases that often).

Speaking of mastering, the T40 demos sound terrible everywhere.
